Based off my analytics nearly 25% of my viewers use the subtitles so it's well worth the time to make them. It's actually easier than you think as KZread will generate timings for me just by importing my script then I just have to watch it back in 2x speed to clean up :) I think anyone who makes long video essay content should do them.

KZread used to have User generated subs. It was pretty nice for foreigners not wanting to bother with English Subs, or any language for that matter. It's pretty wild seeing a random non trending video with 20+ different subs on it, generated manually by dedicated viewers.

i forgot how absolutely unserious this game was, i finished it a few months ago and yet this is one speedrun video that caught me COMPLETELY offgaurd. yaoi being meta in a speedrun and jared's aids being a run killer are insane lol

I've found that choosing lighter skin color leads to more cash earned in game. Also, choosing old people as your weakness seems optimal to me as there is only one real encounter with them and you can skip that fight by just running.

the kryptonite actually does nothing mechanic wise except a few dialogue things where teammates say stuff along the lines of 'look out its your kryptonite', it only really comes into play in the bring the crunch dlc and just determines the form of a summoned enemy in a boss fight

It's a shame the kyle's mom fight got glossed over so quickly, as I find it one of the more mechanically interesting fights in the game. At the end of phase 1, every party members placement on the field determines where kyle, cousin kyle, and kyle's mom will appear in phase 2. While I haven't watched Qaz's runs to know if he or any other runners utilize it, or if it matters enough to save time, I thought it was neat as shit routing the damageless run.

Well 6 dolars for danger deck with making it the hardest fight you'll have faced buy the the season pass cause out of all the season pass inclusion it Is pretty much pay 30 dollars for new difficulty costumes an extra 40 hours new DNA new characters more replabilty incentives and more

I hate that it doesn’t let you guess the code to the basement at the start, especially if you watch the show you will know exactly what it is

This kind of reminds me of how it took us 10 years to figure out how to super bounce in Halo 2 Vista. Everyone assumed it was the port itself since setting to the xbox versions frame rate didn't fix it. Turns out setting the frame rate wasn't enough, patching the frame rate in the code (some physics were hardcoded to 30 instead of 29.97 iirc?) fixed the issue. Now we can do super bounces and pressure launches again in H2v lmao. I don't know a whole lot of the technical side and it's been decades but it was so cool to be able to bounce again, pretty sure Harc is the one who showed me while it was in development

well at the end of halo 2 master chief has to leave Cortana behind, so idk what that has to do with anything?

Sounds like it was an issue with the tie in to the UBI connect and the game, so by resolving the issue on the ubisoft connect side, the issue can't ever be replicated, no matter what version you play. Because the issue wasn't in the game build.

Netherborn is best class but Final Girl definitely has the best Ultimate. I can also appreciate the traps and ability to choose which way to knock an enemy (good for the Indian Burial fight in the DLC)

The xp still works on unpatched but you need a ship to get to the unpatched game. I know that's a no no to some but you can look at it as you already paid for the game you're just downloading older files. It doesn't use anyone's launcher but xp still works. Just tested I have a ripped copy I never downloaded the update for. I don't know if this matters but I also don't have DLC.

Thanks for the vid! First thing that comes to mind about the lost glitch is that it might be caused by an issue with how Ubisoft handled cloud storage of your save file. Like, it saved over/reloaded/occupied the save file while it was trying to save the unlock but not the fact you'd used up the resource for it yet. Good luck to y'all trying to figure it out!

here, it would have been funny if everytime jimmy did something, the in game played timer went up by like 2-5 min or something. just to add on how much time it would have actually taken him to do the things he was doing. be a good easter egg

I like the idea of a game designed to mess with speedrunners. Like, those playing it normally will never notice anything wrong, but those trying to speedrun it will find glitches that are designed to disappear over time, or hidden areas that waste wildly randomized amounts of your time, or things that intentionally make the best speedrun strategies really boring to do and watch, like how Goldeneye speedrunners have to be looking at the ground the whole time because the game runs faster when models aren't loading.

I dont think the golden eye thing was intentional game desgin. its just likely n64 FPS being n64 FPS benefiting from any help it can get and early 3D games being new to widely develop for.

@@randomprotag9329 Of course it wasn't, but imagine if the same principle was intentionally weaponized. Like imagine if a modern console game had a "reflexes only" setting that made the game entirely invisible and inaudible, but it ran faster.

Probably late on this but downgrading alone wouldn't bring the glitch back most likely, as there will still be the cache data stored on the console or pc. 100% clean install is the only way. Downgraded my RDR2 to bring back glitches and things didn't work right just from having save files (that I was't using) from an updated version. Just my thoughts.

I actually looked up if it was possible to speedrun this game, and was surprised my the lack of attempts to do so. This video will answer my questions.

Has someone already tried adjusting the internal clock to a date before the UPlay change, installing completely unpatched, and trying the glitch? Wouldn't be the first time the date was what broke or unbroke a game.

I do love the joke when you try to put in the code before looking at it

It's kind of unstable. The final fight against the past selves locks up about half the time. There's also a lot of RNG that can eat up a lot of time by speedrunning standards.

He explained it. The launcher for the game was updated which probably force fixed the bug

I wonder if any DB games have interesting situations like that. The Sagas video is one of my favorite video of yours alongside the South Park one.

Tip for anyone playing this game 1st time i played on normal and i thought combat was way to easy so after awhile i went back hardest mode on the game and the DLC and my god its like the its a diff game much much better on the hardest mode!

How are the dlc runs shorter? Isn’t there more to do? Can someone elaborate?

don't worry about the length of videos you will be surprised at how much people want to watch the whole thing. try it once to see you will surprise your self but of course in moderation you know like the runs your really proud of kind of thing

For the XP glitch why not just play it on a console not connected to the internet so you don't get any updates at all.

I do know of a couple glitches the only work with old patches but somehow still work with newer ones because they save file was made on the Old patch. No idea if that's little bit of information would be of any use.

When I had to replay the game to get the token experience trophy, I wanted to speed run it. Then I realized I’ve never speed ran any game and that I’m not that great at the game 😂

While it is probably my favorite game, at least very close on the top 3, it is a time consuming, slow game. I would be more surprised, if it has a strong speed run community.

This isn’t really a seed strategy but something cool I found out If you do the till dusk till case bonita dlc as soon as possible you can unlock both neverborn and whatever class you chose giving you 2 classes to start with because Kenny keeps reviving you with the first vamp kid battle

Get the final cut mod and try speed running that. Right now I am at the Butters part and his minions are destroying me. Had to spend over an hour trying to beat captain dissaray

After 100%ing the first game and starting to get to know this one I wouldnt and shouldn't be surprised if theres a Cartman Cutscene Skip Run so funny finding out about that part when trying to skip the first cutscene

On my first playthrough I tried unlocking cartmans basement before knowing the code, I just had a suspicion I knew what the code was when I saw the options, needless to say I was right and got told off. I found it very funny. 😂

I have a question, though it probably won't change the time much. Would removing your artifacts help with the retirement home fight? Since artifacts affect your entire team, the stat loss should help a little.

I wouldn't be surprised if the glitch was caused by a specific version of windows or other operating system if it's pc only maybe it was the os. not the game. an os update changed it

I tried doing that classi glitch where I can skip the bootay part 16:10. I'm not able to activate the glitch, I get less movement with the spaces than what's shown in the video. Probably patched

If you can downpatch it while playing on a xbox or Playstation the glitch might still work

Y not have the game never connect to the internet so as to not have the ubisoft patch effect the glitch and also save a little bit of time on the box

I have no clue the extent to which people have done testing. I just assume most obvious solutions have been tested, but at the same time would not be surprised if that's all it took to work.
