NOTE: this video was filmed before the fainting and towing update which is why i didn’t talk about it. But i do think it contributes to further discouraging roleplaying because it takes away from the freedom and creativity of roleplaying, forcing you to park your cars in the right spot and constantly worrying about moods, even if that is not the focus of your roleplay. i understand that they want to encourage realism, but not everyone wants that. people who want that can just incorporate it into their roleplay, but adding it as a unavoidable feature in the game was not necessary.

This is so sad because if Bloxburg wants more people to Rp then they should be adding more necessary buildings in the game for example a school. Many roleplay games have a school, except for Bloxburg. That is why I moved to Berry Avenue to do my roleplays. I love how the Bloxburg stuff has many interactive things but I just hate how it is not really meant for roleplays since mainly the thing to roleplay is to have a home that you need money for, food that you also need money for, making an avatar that you also need money for, and probably a car that you need money for for a roleplay. This means more work and more building. The more Bloxburg makes you pay, the more people will leave or quit the game because not many people are rich or love working. since their motivation decreases because of the working update that is released since more players get less money than they used to. Sorry if this message was long, I was really eager to comment that! Hope that this comment gets a lot of likes! (Not forcing) EDIT: OMG TYSM THIS IS THE MOST AMOUNT OF LIKES I HAVE EVER GOT! OH COME ON I SPENT LIKE FOREVER MAKING A WHOLE 5-PARAGRAPH ESSAY AND IT ALL GOT DELETED :( So ill sum it up for you: The players are supposed to make the roleplay facilities, not the game. Making money is easy, but you guys are too lazy to put in the work. My dad, for example, barely ever plays this game but was still able to make 40k as a supermarket cashier (obviously in multiple, yet few work sessions) with absolutely *no* work gamepasses (he only has multiple floors and basement) or money purchases There was also something i agreed with i think but i forgot and exiting the onscreen keyboard to look at the comment was what deleted my essay in the first place, so im not doing that again :P

The car dealership is connected to the mechanic job, the club is an essential to every roleplay game, and the town hall might be used for a future job. Also not to mention that the town hall is the centerpiece of the town. Instead of asking them to remove the buildings, they can simply revamp and upgrade it. The furniture store could sell randomized items at a cheaper price, and the same goes for the car dealership. The town hall can have an actual usable interior, or maybe even a new politician job. The club just needs a new look. Most buildings here do need a new look, though.

This is just my suggestion I think bloxburg should make something where you can join a sever for just roleplaing and join a sever for just building. In the roleplay sever we should still be able to build but i think they should give us a time limit on our building in case we missed somethings that we want to add on later in our builds. idk if this makes sense

I think Bloxburg should give at least 20,000 when new players join and make jobs give MORE MONEY so that we won't take like 200 days making one house, mansion, waterpark, restaurant, etc. People used to make restaurants, waterparks, etc, and people would come, but nowadays, people focus on building

Roleplay is still exists, if you will end up at right place. The best example of RP servers that you can always end up on - is Neighborhood. I recently typed in YT "Bloxburg Neighborhood Code", and when i joined my frist neighborhood - the chat was blowing up with RP. There was no plots left, it was literally a heaven. So my reccomendation is, if you want to go RP - go to Neighborhood.

​@besoss4nat people pay to have their own neighborhoods, but you can just type in the code of one and join it/play in it with other people for free. you can search for active neighborhood codes online. to enter the code, when you just join bloxburg there's a button "neighborhoods" on the starting screen, where you can enter the code

Except those RPs never happen, you go to their neighbourhood and spend an hour sitting there while people argue over which role they are.

I remember Bloxburg being so lively now it just feels depressing since everyone is building and nobody is roleplaying. I loved building in Bloxburg, so that I could have better houses for roleplays! Now it feels boring since all I could do is build a house that I’m not even gonna use, or keep server-hopping forever till I actually find a server roleplaying (pretty rare, most the time nobody is chatting, or nobody joins the roleplay I’m starting since they are too busy building)

Actually no one role plays in Brookhaven anymore, just trollers, brainless no chat people (they bump into walls), and people just looking around.

@@FunnyBob969 Yea, but sometimes its just a Spanish server too. Tbh some Spanish rps are kinda fun tho im still trying to learn more Spanish but most of the time when im talking with them or roleplaying they're actually pretty cool

had a pretty expensive haunted house that would attract alot of ppl even during winter and summer months and the most amount in fall ofc. I would giggle like a goblin every time a person asked me for a tour and would just spill the entire lore behind it to them each time and guide them through the dark mazes and traps. it was one of my fav things to do but now I'd would be lucky if a person even stopped to look. everyone is always either working now or building and i really miss giving tours to new ppl and enjoyed watching them get shocked by the hidden jumpscares they missed when glancing down a hallway or falling into one of the traps.

Yesterday a girl would keep asking for someone to adopt her but no one didn’t answer or said yes, I didn’t either but it was bc I’m still in progress on my house but someone did then say yes but then it seemed like she then saw her friend and rather wanted to play with her and the other girl were like: “I thought you adopted me” felt bad, I would’ve been too if someone suddenly rejects me for a friend or someone close, I don’t know if I ever really wanna roleplay that much since I lost interest in it but I respect others who still wanna

For real! I miss the day sof wondering through my house and knocks a few minutes, I loved reaidng peoples rps to see if I could join, I enjoyed seeing people rp in general. But how if I ask for a rp it is awkward to only have two people consistently chatting back and forth - besides I've got one odd threat for asking for rp. If the devs so inspire to help the rp community the Builders no doubt are going to be pissy and whiny, Just like how majority of bloxburg players now are tormenting new players. (They're heavily entitled)

I miss roleplayers, In 2019, I built a hotel, and almost 20 ppl came (I think) and recently I built a water park, and only 1 person came😢

that's why I was hoping making the game free was going to save the game, but no. Everyone is still as soulless as before (I miss the rping days, it wa sso fun)

I love building in bloxburg but I build out of excitement for roleplaying in my new house. It is annoying when I spend hours on a build for nobody to want to rp with me.

when i’m building, i personally prefer the quiet chat, because every time i see that there’s a messages in chat, i always check it, so if there was a rp going on, i’d constantly be checking the chat.

I remember when I make a cafe or a restaurant in bloxburg, it will be full of people but now I cant even find anyone who isnt building or working 😢

They can't really influence roleplaying because the community of bloxburg is going towards being a building game than a roleplaying game. Even now after being free most servers the chat is dead because people are busy trying to make money and building their houses and even if there is roleplay is mostly between friends.

Roleplaying is no point anymore its rare to find roleplays, and half of them are boring, so they are no point of roleplays and it feels like if someone bulids a house for you and buliders are buliding and imagine not roleplaying it makes me wanna bulldoze my house one day just bc theres no roleplays but buliding content is fun but...... theres one thing the new update made the roleplays rare bc the fainting fee was so annoying

I remember in like 2019 i joined a family roleplay where there where so many kids that had to buy 3 cars. We went to the burger shop and forgot one of the kids. By the time we went back the kid got lost. We all spilt up and looked for the kid and after like 20 minutes someone found the kid. By then we were all lost so we just reset and the parents went to every plot to pick up the kids.

Its free now and its still dead. I think new players were expecting a new map because of rumors and got bored and left.

With bloxburg being free, it bumped up roleplaying a ton but I think we should have a regular server, a roleplay server, and a building server so people can do what they wanna do.

I think a great game that balances building, roleplay and chilling/hanging out is Club Roblox. Pretty sure every server I’ve ever been in has had at least 1 or 2 people roleplaying, especially in the hospital and houses. Even though you can build in your house and it’s fun, there’s still so much stuff that people can roleplay with and I love it. Edit: also not to mention it’s free to play and you don’t go broke while building bc the furniture is free and all houses are free. Club Roblox is my go to rp/building game because it’s very balanced between the two

It’s not that people stop roleplaying on bloxburg, it’s that people stoped roleplaying in public severs

I actually agree with everything you said. But i think bloxburg has a way to bring back the roleplayers. Pls read fully I agree that brookehaven took away a lot of roleplayers from bloxburg since it's more easy to roleplay on there. But i think berry avenue is where a lot of bloxburg roleplayers went to (all mg friends basically). Now, the part where bloxburg can bring back the roleplayers- SERVER BROWSERS. Yes servers browsers that lets people explore different servers (neighborhoods in case of bloxburg). And the host can classify the neighborhood as 'roleplay' 'building' 'mixed'. That way roleplayers can actually find other rolelayers! More roleplayers=more roleplayers! Berry avenue has the same feature and i think its genius! In fact people can search for personalized roleplays like "school rp", "family rp", "city rp". It will also be helpful in promoting events and other businesses like resorts, mall, aquarium and people can explore the talented builds of people! I genuinely feel that the bloxburg community has become boring because there's nothing to do but build. Now imagine we can go visit other plots and businesses and also roleplay. It would easily get bloxburg's player count on 100k+ daily. Games like berry avenue, maple hospital and roville has this feature so i know it's not that hard to make. And with proper moderation this would be such a good feature. Because when you join a popular neighbourhood now, its FILLED with roleplays and fun events. So if we can have a way to find these neighborhoods, it can actually boost the interaction and community in this game.

I roleplay a lot and build for role plays but when I look for roleplayers for a family, hotel, cafe and etc, there is nobody and I end up just doing it with my friends

When the game becomes free it will allow a whole new community to role play like those from Berry avenue and Brookhaven who want to build the houses they play in everyone hates that the game is becoming free but it will bring more money and players to the game in the end

2:25 Yep, I ran into this problem with someone who was roleplaying a family RP with me, and I literally had to join a different server just to get another person to roleplay with us because we needed one more.

I think the larger part of why people are unwilling to roleplay is because of the 'stigma' surrounding roleplaying itself; how? Well, roleplaying is often associated with kids, y'know they roleplay and all that, with that thought in mind, a lot of players will think it's childish and just focus on the building aspect in Bloxburg since it's one of the biggest feature in this 'roleplaying' game. This is just my take on it because I feel it's one of the factors regarding the lack of roleplayers.

I think the easiest fix is when you join bloxburg you have a button that you can either join a rp server where you can only be in build mode for 5 minutes at a time (because some people may need to add extra beds or chairs) or a button that’s build mode where you can only be in build mode and then maybe a server where it’s only for people who are working.

Fun fact: When I clicked on bloxburg it just made me come across this fake headless thing.

I'm not much of an RPer sense I'm on mobile but I do "silent rp" which is basically just going through my day n stuff. I would LOVE to see more people actually around town and stuff because things just feel so empty

My bloxburg journey: when i first bought the game, (mid 2020) everyone roleplayed,had bussinesses,interacted with eachother etc. (Meeting my first friend) While bloxburg roleplayers still existed(unlike now) someone asked if they could roleplay with me,i said yes. it all started with the friend request. after that,me and my friends met her friends,we made lots of memories and memories together. but until one day,both of our friends quit roblox.never to be online. but,me and my friend went on.until……… *bloxburg was sold* then,even i thought about stopping. but after fainting and towing,i decided to take a break. 2024/now: i barely bloxburg now sadly. i only play once in a while.

I really miss the rag to riches rp, im so obsessed on watching them during 2017 and 2018

The only reason I bought bloxburg in 2022 was because I was watching roleplay KZreadrs and it interested me so much. When I joined, there were still at least 1 roleplayer in each server I joined but as role players left, it pushed me to do building and role playing with only myself and my friends.

I guess it’s cuz as kids (younger peeps) we role played more. Or as Roblox grew, we role played less cuz more exciting games are on the rise

Imo, I never liked Brookhaven. It is pretty much just a straight up copy of bloxburg (imo). KZreadrs such as poke, switched to Brookhaven, which made me rlly sad. I’m actually excited for bloxburg to go free!

But tbh why are people building houses anyway? Because its fun? Well what do you do with it later? Im someone who personally enjoys the building aspect of bloxburg but sometimes a rp can be fun and its rare to see in bloxburg now. Imo they honestly should remove the mood system and the fainitng fee. The fainiting fee is a middle finger considering the fact theres not even a hospital yet (probably coming in the rework) and 1.5k is a yikes payment cost. The moods although good realism heavily hinders any freedom for rps as you have to manage your stats a lot and it makes rping so much more inconvenient imo to the point to really shouldnt be a feature if bloxburg wants to make this a rp game Long story short: either remove the mood system and fainting fee or at least make it a toggle, its arguebly one of the main reasons ppl dont rp in this game besides the lack of facilities which we should hopefully get in the future

I loved roleplaying in bloxburg.. Now every time I join the chat is empty. I say abc to roleplay and I try for 30 minutes and nobody says anything. Which leads to me quitting.

Just found out bloxburg is going to be free on June 15😭🙏🏽

Finally my friends and cousins get to play with me 😌

Problem goes to the fact the game update has been centered around building, there very few environments that allow roleplay and if there isnt you have to make it yourself

tbh i love when no one talk in bloxburg, cause when they talk all my chat is like 99+, so for that i prefer when nobody talks.

I personally don't think bloxburg needs roleplayers anymore. It has a decent (or had a decent before the update) player count and if the majority of the community is builders I don't see why catering towards a group that clearly found another game more suited for them would be necessary. I think bloxburg should really just focus on the building aspects of the game lol

They literally only had 14k-29k this entire day, and it was a SATURDAY. On weekends they get like 40k-80k not even the locals want to play anymore since it’s so difficult

Same, I used to roleplay but now, I just build. Building is a big feature to the game, but roleplaying is also a big part, but every server I’m in, is just… building.

I just quit now bro lol,cuz IDK HOW TO BUILD whenever i end up building i always end up with almost same looking house or whenever i try to copy it doesnt come out nice so i just quit roblox now lol been months ..

Bro my houses never look nice especially since i don't even have the advanced placement gamepass. And it just makes me so confused how these people literally build A WHOLE CASTLE in like only 30 mins meanwhile im over here taking 3 hours just to build a house just for it to look wonky at the end. And plus its so dang expensive to even build a house in bloxburg so i literally just only build in Club Roblox or adopt me once every 4 months i guess. Basically i just really like roleplaying more. (Srry for the rant 😔)

Back in 2020- 2021 I used to see 5 roleplays going on at once and people would come to my door every second asking to adopt them, I think the problem is as Tess said, bloxburg isn’t promoting role play and the game is more of a “build your own stuff”. The only updates that support role players are the Christmas, Halloween and Valentine’s Day update. (New Years and 4th of July as well) because they have more features for the role players and it’s fun. I remember in 2021 4th of July I went to a party in bloxburg and we did fireworks. Nowadays nobody does that. Everybody just builds and when you ask to roleplay people either ignore or reply in a rude way which causes conflicts. I feel like I’m the only person in the server who says “abc for a kid”. So the solution is to promote roleplay. Because when you go on bloxburg and look at things it mainly mentions building. It says roleplay here and there but not as much as building.

When people would role-play in Brookhaven versus bloxburg, it was very different. Like in bloxburg people would be like "*wakes up and rubs eyes* Goodmorning, mommy -*slides on slippers*-" But when people would role-play in Brookhaven it would be "gm, mommy". Which sucks, bc now when I try to join games to rp people aren't detailed.

I did try Brookhaven but I stopped because you couldn’t design your own house like in bloxburg so idk what them saying you could was about, you can only get a prebuilt house with limited furniture. Bloxburg is so much more fun to play for RP because there’s so many RP stuff you can build. I literally went to Bloxburg because I thought the new sims was going to come out and finally be multiplayer, then I realized it would be another few years. Desperate, I searched the web everywhere to come across something and then I finally came across the perfect game. Bloxburg is literally What the sims multiplayer could really be. I don’t even need the sims anymore because of it. It was everything I had been looking for!

I still roleplay but with my dad I can’t play with strangers sadly

I'm pretty sure a youtuber has said this so creds to them (Idk which one) but in the main menu they should put like Role-playing servers button

I am a roleplayer, before Bloxburg became free I bought it thinking it would be rather fun with some experienced players whoever I was wrong. Everyone was silent in the chat and when I went around the map it just looked so bland and everyone was building houses. It was so depressing. Lol. I play Brookhaven with my friend as it has lots of options and places to go as well as pre- built houses so I don’t have to waste time building a house. It has a larger map and more props and options. The map is not bland either.

its not just brookhaven people also quit roleplaying because of other people people bully them saying its for kids and its really immature when they are probably just 12 or 10 years old people need to at more like there age its more immature when minors are trying hard to be adults ive been bullied for watching cartoon networks and for being a v*rg*in...when im only 14....

I remember back when bloxburg was new, every place u went to would have some people at the least roleplaying, and now everything is empty and every house is covered by a black box (black box=build mode)

Frrr I remember putting abc for a mom, no one answered so I left cause I felt kinda embarrassed😭😭. How is this game with full servers and no one is roleplaying- A ROLEPLAY GAME with NO PPL to ROLEPLAY?????

Personally I do role play a lot on roblox, but I like realistic role plays so I never liked Brookhaven, bloxburg on the other hand is a lot more realistic, the only con is that i HATE HATE HATE building, well not really, I just don’t like doing exterior building. to role play in bloxburg you kind of need to have a house, so i saved up like 200 000 to build a new house after some failed attempts at making a house, it was so boring, and when Berry avenue came I stopped playing bloxburg all together because there you don’t need to build.

Nowadays, when I see people rp, it is like finding a golden ticket

I like rping and building, but I played bloxburg for max 20 minutes before I went back to sims 3 when I found out you had to pay for a basement, upstairs, adv placement, and stuff

I think this is the reason that bloxburg is becoming free so they can get more players. But they should also change the pictures they have instead of saying build, it should probably say build and start a family because pictures do make a difference. -This is based off my opinion and what I think so if you have different opinion then it’s ok.

I love you Tess!!! Its true bloxburg is not that much of a rp game, but the rps in bloxburg are the best!!

Bloxburg is based around being a roleplay game, so it STILL is an rp game

I honestly know I’m a late-comment-er sometimes, I think that bloxburg should have a rp choice or building choice bc it would be easier to find an rp player than a builder. Builders would build in peace without someone saying “can you adopt me.” The building choice would allow jobs to still work in order to make more money than needed AND your needs wouldn’t go down. I also think they should get rid of towing and fainting. JUST MY OPINION. THEN BLOXBURG WILL BE MORE POPULAR THAN BROOKHAVEN!!!

I am building a waterpark rn and i said ABC TO ROLEPLAY IN MY WATERPARK And i said it 10 times and no one responded. :/

I still roleplay with my friends in bloxburg, we mostly build tho, we usually will roleplay if we feel like it or we have good enough moods.😅

We need so much the roleplaying like a mom, dad, sister, brother, aunt, uncle, grandma, grandpa and other roles in bloxburg. It would be more fun, also could be more videos of yt of it.. if only bloxburg would be free, it would get more people and maybe roleplayers, i can't believe that the roleplayers doesn't play this!

I think more people came to bloxburg for building, as bloxburg is the top building game on the market, everything a person could need. While roleplayers had plenty of other games to rp in, some a bit better for roleplay than bloxburg. Bloxburg does still cater to the roleplayers and some updates really bring them back.

I like roleplay and building but i just dont have anyone to play with :( i miss the old times i was roleplaying with friends..

Yesterday it became FREE, but for me it didnt really attract more RP-ERS..

I defently relate, i did join when it became free but i do realise that before when i didnt have it lots of swedish KZreads would roleplay in bloxburg (im swedish thats Why i watch) and right now they often don’t play it at all. I am happy the liked swedish youtuber @duno still play it (i think he still play it. He also plats Minecraft and did give me the idea to start gaming)

I remember i was playing bloxburg in 2021 and some person just carried me to their million dollar house, turns out, ITS A WHOLE FAMILY, AN AUNT, A UNCLE, A MOTHER, A FATHER, A BROTHER, A SISTER, AND I WAS THE LITERAL BABY

Yesterday on bloxburg there were 3 hotels in the server i was in and it was so cool, all the owners were connected to eachother, they had their mini company and it was SO cute. Over half the server was booked in their places and it was amazinggg

no one even roleplays in brookhaven now, i think roleplaying as a thing has just died probably because people now find it cringey or weird when not all roleplays are like that. theres no good games or roleplays on roblox anymore, just simulator games and poorly made copy and paste games with no substance

I hope with bloxburg becoming free there's more roleplayers

my cycle is building a nice bloxburg house once a month, spending 3 days on it, quitting, coming back a month later and making a new house

I try and do both but I’m always busy building a new house because I’m never satisfied with the rp houses I build

I kinda wish i could turn back time to 2020, it was the first time when i joined bloxburg back then i don't have money to buy robux (my family is poor and i have to get part time job as clerk to buy some robux, this was when i was still in highschool) also my friend that i used to rp with has left and unfriend me, it hurt to be honest so now i am just alone in bloxburg just wondering around to see new player...

I would recommend trying out a game called roville, you can buy houses and can build your own there’s multiple jobs and if you graduate school there’s higher paying jobs, there’s party servers people create where you get on to role play you can also start your own business I just got tired of working so hard for no reason in bloxburg and Brookhaven slowly became boring

Bloxburg is just a really nice platform for building, where in roblox is really hard to find a good building games. So thats why there more builders in bloxburg right now. I just think roleplayers, go to their private server with their friends to rp, so thats why you can't find roleplayers.

It’s so sad, now to find rps I have to go to public neighborhoods where big rps are advertised, and that now is even a little rare.
