Richard Night = Walt Disney. Don't believe me? Back in the 60's Walt Disney tried to build his own Utopian city, that would be corporately owned and governed, would be built using state of the art technology and materials would have been a center for commerce and scientific research. Basically, the EPCOT Center at Disney World, is the last remnant of Walt Disney's attempt to build a city and had he not been foiled by California legislature who objected to the legal and ethical ramification of a private corporation governing a city, it would have been eerily similar to Night City, in concept if not in execution.

@@elperrodelautumo7511 Walt Disney wasn't the first to create a corporately owned Company Town, Henry Ford had a town in South America to house the workers for a rubber plantation that he ran as his own personal fiefdom, but no one had tried to create one on this scale and not in the mainland United States. In some ways, Disney's EPCOT project was incredible and was an amazing exercise in city planning, but in others it was kinda scary, with restrictions placed on who could and couldn't live there, all leisure activities being regulated by city authorities (Which are corporately controlled remember) and likewise all children's education would be run by the Disney corporation and there would have been strict controls on moral conduct. Walt Disney's city would probably been less like Night City and more like San Angeles from Demolition Man.

Well, it was literally just a "don't tread on me guy". Letting companies do whatever they want lead to Nestle orchestrating a plan to make mothers depend on their baby food, by giving them large enough samples to be able to stop them producing breast milk, leading to dead babies if they don't keep buying their formula afterwards. This being poor African nations, many of them could not afford more, resulting in their babies dying. I understand if you critisize a specific regulation and a discussion can be had about it, but when someone tells you all of them are bad, then well, they aren't doing that to make your life better, but their own.

i wonder if this is how an actual capitalist system would work. you know, one that wasn't designed by people who don't know economics, power balancing, or bug-fixing enough to save the most hyped game of the year from scrutiny. no offense, as the game is awesome, and i would love to play it at some point, but you can literally make resources out of thin air, so of course corporations will end up getting impossible amounts of money and power without the need to grovel at their consumer's feet, which is exactly what capitalism requires and, according to both theory and practice, exactly what it results in. expecting people who believe in socialism to fairly represent capitalism is a sure fire way to get disappointed, we can enjoy the game, but don't take everything it says seriously, especially on philosophy.

Games too EASY, it needs balancing and the stories, quests need patching and the content that was cut needs to be finished. I'm not playing until it's done. I got a free copy as a gift 2 days after it came out. I have the super human ability to not play a unfinished game or pre order. If only other players had the intelligence to do the same, then we wouldn't have so many beta games released as gold finished messes. Money talks. So if you bought it you have no one to blame but yourself.

That could explain why Night City is nicer than the CHAZ and why there's a lack of homeless camps like in Democrat run San Francisco and L.A. ... I'm a registered Independent but I was down there last year and I just gotta call it like I see it.

Maybe don't bring politics into such videos? 👀. Richard Night was too optimistic and tired of the same tired bs by government.
