mudhol and caravan hound are two different breeds .

I have buried 6 non Indian breed of dogs in my compound over the past decade. All lost to snakes. My question is ..are Mudhols capable of handling snakes without getting tapped on their long snouts?.. Cant bear the heartbreak of losing another one. I have 2 local strays now who are smart enough to be careful around snakes.

@@NirmohiHindu we have mongoose in the compound.it's illegal to keep mongoose as a pet. I sometimes wonder what they are eating out here.

@@bodhisattva6308 Palakkad in Kerala.. Regularly seen are cobras, kraits and ratsnakes. They love my compound which is heavily wooded.

I have a Mudhol named Chotu he is being treated as our family member

Carawan hounds belong to maharashtra and are completely indigenous. Mudhols were developed in Mudhol area of North Karnataka and have Grey hound genes in them. Caravan hounds are slightly smaller than Mudhols

Jonangi Dog breed is best dog for Indian farms vey low Maintenace and good loyal dogs, They are very good dogs they dont let any other animals or birds or humans. Mudhool hounds are good hearing but not good in smell. They are not suitable for farm protections they are good for running.

Pandikona also more agressive dog they are good guard dog and also hunting.they r one man dog.

Great video. Few corrections though. The Mudhol addition to army was a failure and it didn’t work. There are some foreign dogs like Dutch Shepherd and Belgian Malinois, that are robust and will survive anything. Mudhol Dogs are amazing as well. Great video.

I want to bring them to Wayanad region close to Mysore to my farm. It may not be suitable for homestay I think if there are guests

One just kills, other one does both.

Today i met a mudhol hound while taking a walk. I approached the owner to ask about the breed, as soon as i approached him the fog was too petrified and wanted to run away. I wonder how can these be used as guard dogs.

Hunting breeds are mostly good for companionship and obviously hunting They're not for herding or guarding most people fail to understand this

Depends on the way they grow up. They are the most trainable species, even internationally. Home-dog, or Military, Mudhol species are all-rounders.

hounds are not necessarily 'Guard Dogs' - like Labrador or rotweiler. Hounds are hunting breeds, sight and sound. This dog is a sight hound.

Or if you want genuine kci standard breed, then search mudhol hound govt website, youll get contact etc, go to the govt facility, get the breed

Mudhol hound is really different from Carven hound this 2 breeds are very different mudhol hound is a big game hunters and Carvn hound is smal game hunters

You Can't Even Pronounce Mudhol Properly....
