Amit Kumar sang pretty well.. Just as he sang Laila O Laila for Amjad Khan in Qurbani. In his career, Amit Kumar sang plenty of songs for Amitabh, they all were stupendous hits. The song Chali Aana Tu Paan Ki Dukaan Par Saadhe Teen Baje in "Aaj Ka Arjun" and Oye Makhna in "Bade Miyan Chote Miyan" sounds more like Bachchan's own voice than Amitabh's own.

Listen the songs like 'Kehdo ki tum', 'Jao tum chahe jahan', 'Tip tip tip barish shuru ho gayi',etc. But, that doesn't mean that he was a copycat of Kishore Kumar, he too had his own voice and singing style. Listen the song 'Kaisa lagta hai'.
