It’s crazy to me that the performance that made him the king of pop that night and the performance that changed the world and music entertainment forever he hated.

He can’t be perfect. It’s not his fault.

Well that’s just how the perfectionist mindset works. Even if what you do comes off as amazing/great to others who witness it. In your mind it’s just not good enough, or it feels like somethings missing, or that you could’ve done better here and there. Think other great artists/musicians struggled with this ideology as well. Which is why most of them ended up being depressed by it all.

Clearly, he had the highest standards for himself and his art…and saw elements within that performance that the general public could not. 🎤

I think he didn't hate that performance. He was just not impressed by it.

Thanks for this video! I want to believe that the truth will triumph in this world! And I always knew that everything that happened during Michael's lifetime was a monstrous slander, as it often happens, of an unprotected person! a crime against a sensitive, loving and talented person. Inspiring stories told to us Michael, will always live in our hearts, our memory! People, love each other!

That's probably the biggest understatement of the last 40yrs. It's an incredible performance the likes of which we'll very rarely have seen before or since.

I can tell that's his father's critique in his head mostly. I think he's harsh on himself cuz his father was like that towards. Even when it's outstanding, it could be better in his eyes. I hate he had those thoughts.

Michael Jackson was disappointed when he didn't get his toe stand during the Billie Jean performance 😅
@alexzandersonjrg862 Жыл бұрын
In hindsight he could’ve used the Mike stand to stabilize his balance and help him keep/maintain that pose. Unless he wanted to do without, which would be difficult to pull off without the proper footwear/technique. Think the reason why ballerina dancers are able to do it? Is because they have some sort of protective padding in their footwear that helps them be able to maintain those toe stand posses. Otherwise without it your toes would break/crumble under the weight of your own body. Still hurts like heck even with the padding and everything, and does end up leaving you with a few bumps, bruises, and scrapes 😂
