I can see many comments saying the removal of reservation can be a solution. But, its not that easy to remove reservation all of a sudden; which can cause hindrance to many people who are benefitted with the same. The solution here can be reducing the benefits of reservation so that in the long run people will get adjusted to living in a society without reservation.

This may be due to high unemployment in youngster which is huge issue which India is not addressing and need to address healthcare and education as universal not on reservation basis. Next this violence has root on jealousy emotion, not some high level progress meiteis want, in this times if we would have had the opportunity to ask there ancestor, they will still give up their ST rights. My biggest worry is that innocent in meiteis and tribal people will suffer, this will take generation to heal. Saddened. Internet connectivity needs to be restored in this state, 48hrs cut is bearable, they need to hear what country is thinking and they need to share their point of views.!!IMPORTANT!! Address unemployments among youths

Hi Madan, about 48 years ago my exserviceman dad decided not to fill out the caste in my school application claiming that we will not ask for any reservations. He had to write out a letter for that. It was the same for my younger sister as well. All these years later, last Friday, my daughter was not able to complete an online application form for her admission in a college. The online application does not allow her to complete the form without filling out the caste. I feel we are moving backwards.

Yeah but income will change as time flies, and there will be more people take advantage of it. If education and other opportunities are missed due to financial problems then they should be compensated by money or scholarship.

To resolve the caste issues is to dissolve all the political parties based on caste or religion.

Only way to avoid caste in India is to impose a law is to abolish the caste certificate and there should be a no separation in the name of bc, sc or mbc....then only everyone becomes equal...may be next 2 or 3 generations knows about their caste name after that it will be slowly diminished.

Two types of Reservation should be given. 1. Reservation for education: This can be caste based reservation SC ST etc.. 2. Reservation for job opportunities: This must be based on family's income only.. By Civil folk...😊 Government can only give education, getting a job is based on talent of an individual..
