Ignore this part:
In this video I discuss Manga by Tatsuki Fujimoto including Look Back , Goodbye Sri or Sayonara Sri, in addition I mention Chainsaw Man and Fire Punch. Another manga discussed is the visual storytelling of Witch Hat Atelier by Kamome Shirahama or Tongari Boushi no Atelier. Finally I discuss the legendary panels of Kentaro Miura's berserk, with some mentions of Berserk Chapter 391 in the video. A few other manga mentioned in the video are Vagabond, Haikyuu , and Attack on Titan.
From classics like Naruto and One Piece to more recent hits like Death Note and Attack on Titan, manga is a genre that has drawn in fans of all ages. In this video, we'll explore the appeal of manga and discuss why it's such a popular genre among fans.

I gave Witch Hat Atelier, where Coco does her first test, to a friend who never read manga. His eyes widened - he never would have imagined reading manga could be like this

One of the thing I study in animation is that to avoid a break in the "flow" of the action, it is best to be mindful of the "180 degrees rule". Moreover, trying to create an "S" feeling kinda flow will makes the composition more appealing than simply a straight forward one (which can be seen a lot in Witch Hat atelier". Finally, make good used of "negative space" instead of trying to cram too much detail into one frame, since it leaves the eyes of the audience to rest for a while before continuing. It is also good to study film composition too.
Witch Hat Atlier is the first physical manga I’ve bought in over a decade. I read all the current chapters online for free, but I love the story and art style so much.

We often see videos talking about how detailed the linework of a manga page is but not discussing how genius mangakas are in compositing their panels. Watching your video after the Line of Works video about WHA is such a satisfying experience, wish to see more content analyzing manga panels!
GOOOODDDDD DAMN the editing is peak
No fake hype this is one of the best videos I've ever seen on KZread
bro no joke the quality of this video is so gud i kinda wanna read beserk now
It's worth noting that even when Witch Hat Atelier has more "normal" panels, the paneling is still excellent. In this video you mostly point out the standout examples. But, good panelings is needed at all points. Even a mundane dialogue scene can become awkward and weird if the paneling is not good.
the editing on this video is absolutely insane
Always glad to see Witch Hat Atelier's composition being recognised
This is awesome. In my opinion, Akira Toriyama ( dragon ball and Dr. Slump) is one of the very best mangaka with Paneling. His panel is setup so smooth that character looks like actually moving in manga.
Great video. For anyone who wants to dive deeper into this topic, I highly recommend Understanding Comics by Scott McCloud. It's an absolutely genius book that massively elevated my understanding and appreciation for manga/comic storytelling techniques.

I have that book and another of his and honestly it was a bit dry for my tastes. Very wordy with little examples not good for people who are visual learners.

Funny you say that, i actually took a course about graphic novels in high school and the teacher used that book as our textbook. Was pretty damn interesting imo, but i am enough of a nerd to take a class about graphic novels so im kinda biased
This deserves way more for the effort put into this the editing was really good and the music was great this was well put together all love❤
I like your use of music and sfx in this video👍 It really compliments your points
This videos editing is freaking amazing. Keep it up!

This parallels well with "Understanding Comics" by Scott McCloud.
Ur editing is hella entertaining my guy
really good video got here from ah lecks' channel keep up the great content
This video should have way more views. This is some awesome editing and video. As a viewer the only thing I can say is that pop up titles for the manga when you bring up a new one would be nice. I watch a lot on my phone and screen shot. I'm sure another of others as well. Again this is just super nit-picking for feedback. Overall this was dam good. Must of took forever to edit.
Awdii is my best underrated youtuber , the potential that he has is just Bigger than the Panel KZread can give him, He needs a hole split page really . I'm looking forward to the next chapter if you know what I mean Hahaha .

I'm genuinly curious as to how you edit these videos? What is your process? It's very easy to understand what's being said as well!
Komowari. It’s the technique they use for “flow” if you check out Osamu Tezukas work, he was a huge cinema buff, but couldn’t make it due to his inexperience. So he started doing comics, where he used his love of cinematography was used. He was very experimental with it.
Can somebody drop a list of the songs he used in the video or smth? Awesome video btw, editing was top tier.
