yeah that is why a non-Abrahamic partner must convert before the marriage happens. Muslims can marry Christians and Jews with out conversion(my father is Muslim and my mother is full fledged catholic). Muslim women can only marry Muslims which is normal for all cultures.

Love should never be conditional. Inter religious marriages and relationships are fine as long as it they aren’t subject to a conversion. I’m married to a Sikh. Forget conversion, I haven’t even taken on his surname. I love him for who he is because of his religion, not in spite of it. He not only loves and respects me, but encourages me to to teach our children about Hinduism too. We’ve chosen neutral names for our children so they aren’t presumed to be of a singular faith. Had he asked me to convert, I’d have left him in a heartbeat. Love isn’t conditional and if someone asks you to leave your religion / identity (ie by changing your name) they never loved you in the first place.

Even in intercultural marriages i have seen the girl adapting all the rituals and festivals of the family she's married to even she had to leave the customs and rituals followed in her maternal family. @@anonymus2165 in my first statement itself i made it clear that i am not specifically targeting hindu girl muslim boy marriages in this regard.....even in same faith marriages or hindu christian marriages, many a times the girl is expected to completely discard her previous traditions and camouflage into the boys family which i find problematic and something which needs to change. the traditions from both the sides should be inculcated into the offspring to be truly free from the patriarchal narrative we have been following all these years. but when we talk about marriages between hindus and other indigenous faiths of India or even christianity, i can at least expect some positive reformist changes from them in this matter. but when there is a peaceful in a relationship, it is almost guaranteed that he/she won't marry the kaafir, unless she or even he converts and accepts peacefulness, cause it is specifically stated in their holy book, which they refuse to make any changes to.....so if i am a kaafir, i know he or she wont love me until i convert, so whats even the point of an interfaith marriage?? first make amendments in your peaceful book on interfaith marriages and then speak about whether love jihad is a myth or not

The video didn’t make it clear that it was her parents who hired someone, but if that is the case and she knew her parents were like that than she didn’t have any right to put her partner’s life at risk for her own selfishness. It sounds harsh, but her only reason for not going home that evening was her parents’ reaction. Is eloping and getting married against their will the appropriate action to take in this scenario? Did she have to convert? I’m sure it wasn’t her getting married to a Muslim that was the problem but her conversion. As I mentioned before, you can’t exercise free will in a situation where you have no option, so undoubtedly she converted post marriage out of desperation. I don’t think people would cry “love jihad” just because inter religious marriages take place. It’s more to do with the fact that the girl is converted. If she’s not converted than her children will follow the religion of the man / carry names that reflect the religion of the man. It’s the imposing of religion that’s the problem. I’m married to a sikh but I’ve not changed my religion /name / identity. My children know prayers from and follow both religions. They have names that can’t identify their religion. Acceptance is true love and if the prerequisite of love is conversation than it isn’t love at all.

@@limitlesky no I’m not. Murder is abhorrent, however, why should anyone convert religion for the sake of a marriage? That implies that religions aren’t compatible, when they should be. My point is, do you actually think that society would have such a strong stance if there was no prerequisite of conversion? I’m not talking about rural India which is stuck in a misogynistic time warp, but an educated and progressive society. My marriage was blessed by my family because they knew that I was keeping my identity and aimed to pass on the teachings of my parents to my children and beyond. When someone converts for the sake of a marriage, they leave everything including their identity behind. If someone converts and then marries someone of that religion a few years down the line I get that it was their own free will. Is someone converts during or shortly after a marriage it’s conditional and shouldn’t happen.

I support interfaith marriages as it encourages us to exchange and understand each other's cultures well. But we just can't deny the fact that there is no case of forced interfaith marriages. There must be and it should be bring to lime light. Those victims also need their voices to be heard. Every movement, for good or bad (depends on the perspective) begins with small isolated events. For example, Rosa Parks refusing her seat was a small event but spiraled into something massive and is now considered a landmark in Human history. So is Love Jihad. It is happening at a small scale now, later it has the potential of being humongous. Because it is a well planned, strategised and well funded movement. And it will sweep the world unless nipped at the bud. And also, Love Jihad should encompass conversion of Hindu Women to ANY religion by way of marriage. Like Hindu women marrying into Jain or Sikh or Christian families. I am not stating if I'm for or against it, but it is real and it should be recognized. Even if its 12.5L number of people, and that is significant).

The question is there are thousands of other issues at their buds but why ain't we focusing on nipping them? Cuz those aren't religiously motivated issues and don't feed the hunger for hating the Muslim community. Dowry deaths, Suicides, Patriarchy, honour killings, mob lynching and what not. And to give you an idea. All of us are watching the coverage around the interfaith murder where some Aftab guy killed a girl. But a similar case happened a while ago where the boy filmed himself with the mutilated body of his girlfriend but it wasn't covered with as much fervour. And I even saw a post on The Engineer bro and the comments went like 'I support the guy' and all. These were the top comments. Does this not highlight how the minds of present generations are so violent so as to justify killings? And then we act all surprised when a Muslim boy acts violent. It's not a specifically Muslim problem. It's a society problem. Also, there are around 80 murders on average in this country each day, which are probably not done by sponge dolls and soft weapons. Why are they not reported or talked about? You know why.

@@shanblues7257 The ones which you have stated are recognized problems and there are laws against them, albeit poorly executed. But no one says they dont happen. And this channel specifically has highlighted all the issues you've mentioned. Moreover, not talking about other issues does in no way, undermine the fact Love Jihad is happening. The horrific death of the girl isn't Love Jihad. That's brutality. Me for one haven't mentioned it at all. Also, if you would read, I believe conversion of Hindu Women to ANY religion by way of marriage should be classified as Love Jihad. Is it wrong?? To some yes, to some no. Will it be more widespread if not discouraged? Most definitely yes. Is that a problem? Again, that's debatable. Whatever might be someone's stance (Love Jihad is slowly reducing Hindu population or it's a person's fundamental human right to choose a partner), Love Jihad is real and its happening. To support, oppose or ignore is a choice.

Show me one place in Quran and Hadith where embracing Islam to marrying someone is allowed; I'll leave Islam right now. Claims don't count facts. Those Christian pastors in Kerela who endorsed this agenda were called out by Nuns who rejected them as priests.
