The PS2 only shows the towers when you have a memory card plugged in. The towers represent how far you are in a game. The higher the towers the closer you are to completing the game.

That actually wasn't the original Fallout, Fallout: BOS is Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel and I think it was a spinoff that was came after the 2nd fallout game

Weren't the blue ones done that way cuz they were worried about ppl making copies of the games? Like the issue the dreamcast had? I use to buy all my dreamcast games bootleg 😂. A shop sold them for for 5 bucks. U had to ask for them using a special code 😂😂😂. And he would pull them out from behind the desk in a cd case

​@@packers12to80that's not true, it's just a design that just looked cool and made it more iconic. It could still be read by any normal CD drive. If anything, it's only physical copy protection, if you got a fake disc you'd know it.

i never played Monster Rancher, but i did watch the anime back when it aired in the states. the game did pop up in Tips & Tricks magazine. the basic rundown of how that game worked is you'd eject your game disc and put in any other disc. be it an audio cd, dvd, ps1/ps2 games, possibly xbox games. i guess at that point, the game would scan the header data or something, and out pops a monster for your collection. the article in Tips & Tricks outlined a large collection of movies/music discs to have to help you find the more rare monsters

I'm 100% picking up that travel adaptor. I'm planning on travelling around Europe, Asia, South America & Australia and it will be so useful!

The ps2 GTA SA on the PS3 still showed up when you changed profiles you just scrolled past it. Im curious if it works under the main profile, probably will

That was not the original Fallout, that was a side non-cannon game called Fallout: Brotherhood Of Steel, it is the worst, or supposedly worst fallout ever made

Not fake PS2s and not the first fallout. It was a bad spin-off. Also that one slim that sounded odd may have overheated. Could explain the scorch marks underneath. I’d wager the fan isn’t spinning correctly and it’s causing it to overheat.

Fun fact: some of the ps2 save icons do have animations when you either copy the data to another card or when you delete the save. The games will vary, but one I know animates is Ridge Racer V. Unrelated, when I bought my Free MCBoot memory card last year, it had code breakers icon on the card.

That Fallout save wasn't for the original fallout. Those are PC games. The data in that card is for what is for what is considered the worst game in the series, Fallout Brotherhood of Steel. It's so bad it's not considered canon.

The towers represent the save data of the memory card. If there is no memory card upon boot, you won't see the towers

Heads up when it comes to ps2 slims, the ribbon cable for the disk drive loves to scratch and destroy disks sometimes.

The towers you see when the PS2 loads up represents your save data, they don’t show up on your consoles because you inserted the memory card after the boot up screen.

I find the other way around to you where blue discs are the first kind a PS2 stops reading when its drive is on the way out

the towers on the PS2 loading screen are created by the save data on the memory card. If you have no card in it the towers will not be present. The towers represent the games on the memory card and how long you have played them. The longer you played a game the longer the block tower will be.

It's so weird with the PS2's... I've never experienced that a PS2 will only play one of the other discs. My PS2, that I've had since launch, has finally died. It won't play either disc and the trey is broken. Bought a new fat model and that works perfectly with both disc types.

Anytime the police showed up we used to hide all kinds of stuff in the expansion bay to our PS2!!! And would all be paying attention to the TV, wild casually playing whatever game we happen to get into the system in a very quick fashion when the door was answered....😅

The Fallout game is an original PS2 exclusive called Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel. That's what the "BOS" is short for. It was more of an action ARPG type game. It was developed by Interplay.

There is a game on switch called ultra kaiju monster rancher where u tame and train ur monsters. It has a thing where u can scan all kinds of stuff like ur i.d. random cards even event passes to gain monsters or bonus items.
