Quebec has been selling liquor in private stores for decades. In the 1970s, I used to drive across the border from N.B. into Quebec and buy liquor. When I moved to Ontario in 1979, I couldn't believe how backwards the province was regarding the sail of liquor. It's all about Government Overreach indeed!

privatisation doesn't mean cheaper and unlike the LCBO whose taxes ais linked to the Ontario health service..... private health service is also a lot more expensive especially when you have to pay for it yourself - so don't be a dope and shoot us all in the foot.....and then not have the national health service which uses your taxes to pay for everyone shot in the foot..... if you had to pay for that privately you could end up homeless cos privatisation is profit over care

Its no big deal if LCBO gone to strike, might take a month or 2 before it can be reopen again. I can't see what else need to celebrate maybe not until September - National Day or October - Thanksgiving Day, December - Christmas Day and New years. Which I don't think LCBO will strike that long 🤔. I haven't drink alcohol for 3 month and half, depending on my moody days. Of course people might want liquor for Birthday 🎂 (Adult, I mean) or Anniversary with couples to celebrate. At least not crazy people drink and drive or drunker especially there is bad news about people in downtown cause trouble, might be a good idea to have LCBO strike until downtown is finally calm down. For the employee the government or CEO should give the benefit for the strike, since most big companies I see so far get strike such as TTC bus, the Mall and grocery store. Most only last a few months😅

Whatever the case, its sad that this demographic of people is simultaneously unleashing these little monsters onto our society and yet STILL refuses to acknowledge the problems within their community and having the will to take serious action to stop their kids from becoming criminals and violent people. Even worse our leaders and the justice system are cowards who don't have the balls to take the drastic actions needed to deal with these people because that would be 'racist' to do so.

Kids and guns, it is an old story involving drugs and drug dealing and mothers that don't know anything about it. Look for the tinted windows and find the gun! find the meth or fent and look at the dealers on the street collecting from the tinted windows and just to make a buck. Where are the police? not paid enough, not enough graduates, overpopulated drug use, only on calls from dispatch, only on calls that are legitly breaking the law and the list of why police cannot get to the dealers goes on. The line from the police was that they would arrest the dealers in the health crises but the do not. Dealers are allowed to sell drugs.
