In Hungary, lángos is a typical beach dish. It was very cheap and had nothing on it. Today it is cheap only in the markets, 600 HUF, 1.3 EUR, but tourists do not get to the market very much. They buy it expensively and put all sorts of things on the langos. I'm Hungarian and I won't let you put anything on it, because it's the most delicious.

It consists of flour, water, yeast and oil for the baking. Circa 15ft when made it home. With garlic and salt plus... Yesterday evening I ate 4 "langos" for 60 HUF... 15 CENT... :-)

It reminds me of pastel, a brazilian savory snack. It’s made of deep fried dough stuffed with (mainly) cheese and ground beef. Also a very popular street food.

I would consider Langos more as a snack and pizza as food. To me Langos is without topping, only salt or garlic rub. The hybrid Langos with topping is of course more inbetween.

This is really popular in the Christmas markets in Vienna, it is really good in the cold weather

In New Brunswick, New jersey, they have a Hungarian festival every year. They make Langos and other Hungarian foods.

In Italy we also have this. We call it pizza fritta, fried pizza. Somewhere they call it montanara. We usually put tomato, Parmigiano and basil on it. But there are also more gourmet versions.

My fast Langos was on the streets of Bratislava. It was amazing. I have had it in Budapest and Vienna, and even once in London. My mother in law makes it whenever we are around?

I had Langos for lunch at a rock festival 8 years ago, that was my first time (maybe only this far) having Langos. I really liked it! There's Langos trucks coming to my town from time to time, but I haven't had the chance to go when they're here. Hopefully I'll have the chance to this summer. I prefer Langos with garlic, sour cream, cheese and red onion on top. When it comes to preference between pizza or langos, it's really down to what I want that particular day, both are really good in their own way. That said, I consider langos more fit for lunch, and pizza can be lunch or dinner as pizza feels more like a complete meal

Langos is for 3am. Best eaten when staggering home from the bar. The grease soaks up the extra alcohol.

The only time I have had langos was at a Christmas market in Berlin. It was fantastic!

In Canada we have beavertails very similar instead of a circle their in an oval, and Instead of savory, we have them sweet. I like them best with melted butter cinnamon sugar and a splash of lemon juice.

You can make fuchka with cream cheese onion chicken as filling . It's crunchy and if you can make the delicious filling it'll be a great treat . Use tamarind sweet sauce for dipping 😋

I had the one with cream and cheese once in Poland. It was good, but messy to eat ofc, lol! Kinda reminds me of Khatchapuri actually from Georgia.

Very similar to vetkoek in South Africa where the filling is just stuffed in the middle.

I love sour cream and paprika. I think I'd eat well in Hungary.

We call this Indian fry bread in America. You can even make a Indian Taco with the fry bread . Usually it would be cooked in animal fat

In Canada, we call them Beaver Tails. They tend to be sweeter, but savoury is also on the menu!

Similar to Navajo fry bread. You just need to ditch the sour cream and have a grandma slap the dough around for a while before throwing it in a vat of lard. Serve it with honey, powdered sugar, or make it into a taco!

Mekitsa or Tiganitsa in Macedonia. It is the same thing but we eat it with white cottage cheese or with sugar. It is mandatory to treat everyone with Mekitsas on the day you get a newborn baby.

Absolutely hate this country, my worst experience ever so far , people not welcome and rude To the tourists, bad service , spelt a lot of money there , honestly.. I felt bad while being there .. my recommendation don’t visit this country

As a midwestern American, I would say pizza.

Bad video , Bad information , bad Hungarians. Only traditional way to eat langos is with garlic , preferably held vertically. Fancy toppings like ketchup are a crime of recent years.
