This guy said govt should take only 20%. You guys don't seem to be listening to him. Kenya does not provide its citizens with services that are commensurate to the taxes they collect. You don't have to put up with a govt that taxes you to death.

Fanya Mambo Kinuthia was not urging us not to pay taxes; rather, he is supporting boundaries and deadlines. Either CT Muga did not listen to Fanya Mambo Kinuthia closely, or he purposefully presented ignorance. You forced him to say it twice. The president cannot simply wake up and start taxing Kenyans more heavily.

I have been to a country where I could negotiate between 24%, 18% and 12% tax on earnings and for each percentage they tell me what the cons and pros are and then I decide on my own. That sense of ownership sometimes even made me chose 24% tax. Introduce functional analysts and actuarist into these tax issues an dgive kenyans options-that would be the best way forward.

I get his point of view. The majority of tax should be from indirect taxes which is directly related to the Country's productivity (case in point Germany & Mercedes Benz). Gvt creates a conducive environment for businesses, business thrives, gvt gets more taxes from Corporate taxes and VAT on the sold products. In Kenya PAYE collection at Shs 494 million is double VAT collection which means the 3% in employment are proper enslaved.

He says hilarious, petty things about the Govt manifesto 😄, things I would never expect an educated adult male to say. But it's his self centered middle class rants about buying his kids luxuries that takes the cake, but how about the jobless youth in the slums who has to turn to crime to feed his family? Lest we forget, housing was a centerpiece of both manifestos, we should focus on addressing the needs of those struggling rather than trivializing their plight.

When you have three salaried presenters who are finding it difficult to follow the logic that direct taxes are unfair, then we clearly do not have any hope here, we will be taxed to death.

We should acknowledge the fact that our constitution is considered one of the most progressive in Africa. However, it is important to recognize that funding all the offices, services, and programs that we desire requires a significant amount of money. The question then arises: where should the government obtain this funding? One option is to borrow more money. However, it is crucial to understand that borrowing creates a postponed debt that we will eventually have to repay at a later date. This means that while borrowing may provide immediate funds, it also adds to our long-term financial obligations. Therefore, it is essential to carefully consider the implications of borrowing and explore alternative sources of revenue to ensure sustainable financial stability in the long run.

Facts of life about leadership and walking your own journey. You will not be liked by everybody but walk anyway. You will not be accepted by everyone but keep walking, you will be hated by some but keep walking, you will have to use the stick in some instances, use it and keep walking, you will not be appreciated but keep walking, you will be uncomfortable but keep walking, you will be lonely but keep walking, the scribes will script falsehoods and gossips from your enemies but keep walking, once the world knows you can stand up against hate, prejudice, gossips, misinformation, arrogance and ignorance from your enemies and their sycophants...you gain respect even from your enemies supporters. A strong leader is steadfast in his objectives not one who hesitates to stand strong in adversity. Those who try to scatter your determination with their I'll will and negativity must come to the reality that you are not a leader who swings under opposition hostility but who sails on his own winds..a leader is not here to impress his detractors or impress his base but to sojourn his set objectives which could be bitter and sweet at different times for a more stable and probably a more prosperous future by God's grace.
