Why Kanchenjunga's peak has not been touched by anyone ?

Kanchenjunga lying at the Indo-Nepal Border has been worshipped by the people of Sikkim and adjoining areas for time immemorial. And that is the reason why they frown on people who wish to reach the summit of the holy mountain. In this video, we take a look as to why Kanchenjunga's peak has never been touched.

This was such a great video to watch!! Thankyou for that! I would also like to add that The original indigenous inhabitants of Skkims the Lepchas, have always worshipped Mother Nature or 'Itboo Moo' (in the Lepcha language) and have believed in the spirits of the things that have given us life and joy, such as the mountains, rivers and the forests! We also look upon Kanchenjunga as the guardian for our land Sikkim and have so many traditional stories and folk tales about it!! It feels so good to have a video trying to explain some of that~~ Kudos

Most of the mountaineers prefer south route via Nepal while climbing Kanchenjunga because climbing Kanchenjunga from north side I.e from Sikkim is pretty hard...not only lepchas do worship Kanchenjunga but Limbus people from do worship Kanchenjunga as the sacred mountain "seselungma".

Nepal is a home to world tallest mountains. Mount Everest lies in boarder between nepal and tibet (china). Similarly, Kanchanjunga has 5 peaks of which three peaks the main peak, the central peak and the south peak lies in taplejung, nepal.and remaining 2 peak north peak and eastern peak lies in india and borders bhutan. As the main peak of kanchunjunga the 3rd highest peak lies in nepal. I was in Darjeelin in 2013 and despite being there 5 days, only got to see the peak of Kangchenjunga on a single magical morning. For an hour or so the clouds parted. The triangular shape up top reflected the sunlight that morning and I will never forget it's beacon-like brightness. It was an amazing sight to behold.

It is the third highest mountain in the world, after Everest and K2, with an altitude of 8586 meters above sea level. It is also the highest in India and the second highest in Nepal, located in the Taplejung district. Only Mauna Kea Hawaii could top at such heights yes Mauna Kea of Hawaii would be on the level of Sea, only this is found with 6000 meters submerged in water and therefore only They are 4,207 meters high the 6000 meters are sunk in the water of the sea

From seeing several documentaries, it seems as though climbing is drug-like. I am sure crowding the Nepalese 🇳🇵 into a group of money driven materialist is not right. They are the best mountaineers and if decide to risk their lives in support of others attaining their fancies, cudos to them. If the summit isn't scaled then what is the problem? Perhaps in your personal dealings you've had bad experiences with someone from Nepal. How about you go hire a Sherpa, depend on him, surely your perspective will change, mostly likely via the time to think about your existence. That same reason that keeps others coming back to the top of the world. Quiet...
