I think Rav Feldman ate fish during the week. But he told me he did not eat meat except for SHABBOS and yom tov. Even at a Simcha or a siyum

I am not Jewish, but this is exactly my ritual when I eat meat (I only eat meat 1-3 times a month anyway, during that time of the month for me). I am majority of the time vegan, 28 days a month...

I believe, if not mistaken, the kosher marshmallows are made from kosher fish gelatin, instead of animal gelatin.

What a weird question. God permitted meat eating after the fall because our mortal bodies require high protein. My religious beliefs say that all living things have a spirit. Animals are innocent creatures in that they did not disobey God. Humans did. Therefore will live in heaven too. Just humans will have higher status because they have stewardship over the animals. We must treat them as we wish to be treated. If humans cannot be good and wise stewards as expected by God then why should we have any reward? Bless the animals. Kosher and non kosher.

same like Muslims. But in first chapter of genesis it is clearly mentions that 9Then God said, “I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food. 30And to all the beasts of the earth and all the birds in the sky and all the creatures that move along the ground-everything that has the breath of life in it-I give every green plant for food.” And it was so. what is your thinking about this?

I am not by any means observant but many of my friends are. I just cannot accept that reasoning to why it’s OK to slaughter and devour animals. Especially today when there’s more than enough to eat to obtain energy. If I’m understanding correctly, it’s to eat some thing physical to make it spiritual? Cannot you do that with any food item like peanuts, fruits, vegetables, etc.? I would think that if an observant person wanted to be a complete vegetarian, even on the high holy days and Shabbat, the person should not be forced or made to feel guilty because he/she is breaking a rule. If you believe in your heart and soul that it is wrong to eat animals then you should be able to do so and be respected for it not frown down upon. I personally see it as a higher spiritual energy not needing meat to obtain a higher spiritual energy. Just my opinion. Doesn’t mean I’m correct. Anyway, praying for your cousin and doing my mitzvah this evening in her merit. Anxiously awaiting the good news…

Because God has given us not wild animals, "domestic" animals (Chicken, sheep, goats..etc) and it's absolutely normal that HE allows us to complete the natural chain by eating these domestic animals. If we just kill them without the intention to eat them then it is a sin !. If we release them to the wild area then they get easily exterminated by other animals for lack of natural adaptation. On other hand, It is not a sin or abnormal if someone to choose vegetrian life style

@@kenzo4Ever Thank you for your reply, and it is much appreciated. Yes, at first, if domesticated animals are set out into the wild and because of very little adaptation abilities, as you mentioned, will certainly perish. However, after a while, the traits that keep them weak will eventually fade out and they will become strong enough, or better yet, they will eventually “learn to adapt“. Some examples listed by National Geographic are dogs, cats and cattle. Back in the day, animals were kept domesticated for food, clothing, etc. Humans need to protein, and lots of it to survive. And that’s what domestication of animals was all about. However, today we have more than enough high protein options down the block at the supermarket, and supplements as well. Do not any longer need that excuse to keep animals and slaughter for its protein. Most people don’t even realize that the cattle industry is one of the leading causes of climate change in the world due to the methane gases all our millions of cattle that we are raising for food and leather, put into the atmosphere. Worse than all the cars, plastic bottles, etc. There’s an excellent documentary, written and narrated by, Leonardo DiCaprio, entitled,“”Before the Flood”. Anyone who watches it will have a very rude awakening and very, very quickly. it should be a recommended watching for ALL schools, for all children around the world. Again, just my opinion, but that’s how I live my life and my son who is 18. Shabbat Shalom. My husband, may he rest in peace who passed of prostate cancer when my son was five years old, was a very big meet eater. He loved his lamb chops and I made it for him as much as it killed me and stunk up my home. As long as the options are there, I guess, to each his own.

@@kenzo4Ever in my family we personally drink phosphate free, oat milk, which, in my opinion taste 1 million times better than dairy. Dairy is believed to be the number one cause of allergies in children. I have closets, full of clothes and shoes that are not leather. In regarding fruits and vegetables, yes, you are correct there is no proof that they don’t have souls but me personally anything with a soul has eyes. So maybe potatoes? I cannot eat those anyway because potatoes are nightshade vegetables and they flare up my arthritis in my feet and legs. Like I said, before, we needed the animals, for their skins and dairy back in the day, but not today.

@@kenzo4Ever sorry, I think my response to you somehow disappeared? Unless I did something wrong. So I’ll try again! Anyway, I have closets full of clothes and shoes that are not made of leather. In my household, we personally drink phosphate free oat milk, which I believe to taste much better than dairy milk. Also, cheese, and yogurts from different sources of“milk”. Supposedly, dairy is believed to be the number one cause of allergies and sickness in children causing them to miss tons of important school days. And yes, you are correct, that we do not know for certain that plants do not have souls. Yes, maybe the grass cries as lawnmower blades run across and cut them. However, in my personal opinion, anything with a soul has eyes. So maybe potatoes? I cannot eat those anyway because it is considered a nightshade vegetable which triggers, severe arthritis in my feet and legs, to where I cannot walk. Same with tomatoes and eggplant. So the eggplant Parm days are long gone! Just saying that yes, back in the day, we needed to slaughter the animals for the protein, hides, and keep them domesticated for their dairy. But it’s no longer necessary. It’s a choice.

🇮🇱Jewish brothers and sisters❤️: Jesus the Jewish Messiah died for your sins and rose again on the 3rd day and He is ALIVE!!! He is waiting in heaven at the right hand of the Father for you to accept Him as Savior, as Messiah......"all have sinned and lack the glory of God, and by his grace they are justified freely through the redemption in Christ Jesus. For God appointed him as an atoning sacrifice through faith in his blood, to demonstrate his righteousness, in that he forgave the sins previously committed, for God is long-suffering, and has revealed his righteousness in the present time, that he may be righteous, and may justify him that believeth in Jesus. So where's the bragging? It is closed. By what law? By actions? No, but by the law of faith. We hold, then, that a man is justified by faith, independently of the works of the law. Or is God only for the Jews? Aren't the heathens too? It must also belong to the pagans. For there is one God who justifies the circumcised by faith and the uncircumcised by faith. So do we make the law void by faith? No way! In fact, we would rather strengthen the law. (Romans 3, 23-30)

@@SammythatjewishnerdI have nothing to do with historical Christianity.I am not one of them. I belong to the Messiah! You must be born again!:Jesus answered him: Verily, verily, I say unto thee, unless a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. But how can people be born when they are old? Nicodemus asked. "Can he enter his mother's womb once more to give birth?" Jesus answered: Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Do not be surprised that I said to you: You need to be born again. (Jn 3, 3-6)
