I absolutely love that Fiddlebert was literally a ficticious character made up maybe 2 months ago and now all of the pikmin fanbase bought into it. As an avid pikmin 1 and 2 player on OG consoles i can say i saw through the BS pretty quick.

The Giant Breadbug description shows that the first article's information was all assumptions based on what they saw when looking at random images and absolutely no research done beforehand, which might be the reason for the Water Wraith's exclusion from the list since its just a mildly human shaped blob on concrete cylinders.

Fun Fact: The Arctic Cannon Beetle CAN actually kill Pikmin. When it sucks in air to shoot a snowball, if Pikmin get sucked inside then it will kill roughly half of them and spit the other half out inside the snowball... But most people who are actually decent at the game will likely never see this happen, since its so easy to avoid.

Bulborb larvas can DEFINITELY be terrifying to players that underestimate them, they may not seem much but in groups, the ability to instantly eat pikmin after one chomp adds up ALOT and ends up having one of the most devastating offense in the entire grub dog family.

I've had multiple run-ins with thegamer being jackshit, I'm absolutely sure that's an AI-generated website. but a while ago I found an article from The Nerd Stash about the top 10 hardest enemies in Pikmin 4. at #10 is the wollyhop. not the masterhop, no. the wollyhop. using an image from Pikmin 3 for it. "Firstly, while it’s hopping, it’s hard to hit the giant frog with Pikmin. Missing your throw here is bound to end in a few casualties. Additionally, when fighting them in water makes the combat even more difficult. As far as common creatures go, the Wollywog is one of the hardest." what do you even mean? how does water make this more difficult? at #9 is the burrowing snagret, using an image of Olimar and the Burrowing Snaget assist trophy on the smash bros xenoblade stage. #8 is the shellcake family, just to generalize each of the 3 elements of them. pearly clamclamp is on the list as well at #5, even though the tells to know when to stop attacking these enemies are very obvious and not too time constricting. both of these enemies can be made a complete joke if you just use Oatchi's rush, which I dont think any of these journalists played the game to know this. also, the image for this is the scorchcake with the player throwing yellow pikmin directly onto the burning side of it. #7 is the emperor bulblax and #3 is the sovereign bulblax. Idk their obsessions with the emperor here again, groovy long legs makes the list at #6, I dont think it was that hard of a fight. my first time fighting the groovy long legs, I got over 80 of my pikmin stuck dancing underneath it and never managed to stun the groovy long legs to free my pikmin, and yet I only lost about 6 pikmin from the fight. literally the entire weakness of the arachnorb families is just staying underneath them. its not that hard. #4 is the smokey progg, sure its scary but not that bad. they say that "making the wrong move could result in a complete wipe" when the insta-kill attack is very slow, meaning your only wrong move is literally rushing it from behind. lol they put the final boss of pikmin 4 at #2, because they reserved the waterwraith for #1. they think the fight even with purple pikmin is "still incredibly challenging to overcome." the image for the waterwraith appears to be from a pikmin 2 mod, it looks like the final area of the pikmin 251 mod to me.

The arctic cannon beetle can kill pikmin. If pikmin are caught in a snowball, the snowball stops following the path and just continues in whatever direction it was going in when the pikmin got stuck in it. When it hits the lip of the path, the snowball breaks apart, and pikmin caught in the snowball when it breaks apart can be launched off into the abyss by the breaking snowball.
