Why JORDAN TRAVIS was the QB STEAL of the 2024 NFL Draft (His Insane Rise)

Спорт

After going under the radar in high school, Jordan Travis was seen as the next great Louisville QB before he would eventually transfer to Florida State. After an underwhelming start to his Seminole career, he would end up exploding in both 2022 and 2023 and this past year he was on his way to the playoff and serious Heisman hype until a horrible injury. Sadly, it ended his career, but he was drafted by the New York Jets and now has a chance to make an impact there. Today, we will tell his story, talk about his career and his future with the Jets, enjoy!

Heh. How much time have you got? Seen kzread.info/dash/bejne/Z36Dk7KspdOsj7g.html It's only two highlight reels shown together, not something from a competing channel. What it shows though is that Justin Fields' college highlights reveal him to be far superior to Caleb Williams. He's a better rusher & _FAR_ more accurate passer. So right there you have fodder for a video about media hype or trying to prove how Your Research is better than any media hype. Or there are other angles. You can make *several videos* from just this one bit of evidence. How did Fields become a bust? Or is _that_ a mere perception? We've seen how mere differences in play-calling can elevate Dak or Hurts to the MVP discussion or make them a laughing stock. Are we *sure* this isn't what happened to Fields? After all he called out his coaches publicly twice. The *_first_** time he did this* was followed by the Bears changing all their plays & leading the NFL in offense for three weeks straight. How can a supposed bust _DO_ that? Has Zach Wilson? Ciome to think of it has Josh Allen, Patrick Mahomes or Joe Burrow's élite WR trio ever led the NFL in offense 3 weeks straight? What a bust. *Here* is _SOME_ of what happened. The Bears scored 29 or more points in weeks 8-10 of '22 & lost all those games & fans said "this proves that he can't win." They did everything in their power to sustain the meme. So Fields got blamed for the failures of his defense. Well? Where else did media memes overtake reality? Like I said, you have a basis for several videos here. Why should you make any? Well I have reason to believe that the plays that made them the best offense were Getsy's & that the rest were Eberflus. 'Flus bragged about meddling in the offense to the extent that media stopped speaking to Getsy & Eberflus therefore had to deflect questions _about_ certain really bad plays for weeks at a time. & Getsy & those great plays are gone. & the ones that undermined a QB with Caleb's skill set remain. So if any of the following two things happen, you'll have videos showing you were ahead of it: 1) things don't go well for the offense in CHI. 2) Fields gets to start & produces better with the Steelers than Caleb does with the _FAR_ better, deeper Bears roster. I have more to add but do you see any value in looking into this?

I am a UCF fan. I watched out star, and greatest QB in our brief history, McKenzie Milton, go down with the most gruesome injury I have EVER witnessed live. Against our rival, one game from championship, on the verge of being considered for the "fringe" top 4, coming off of claiming the national championship, Memphis next week for the AAC, then a Joe Burrow LSU duel away from back to back undefeated seasons. Top 8 hesiman favorite. We were robbed of his greatness. He ends up on FSU behind this man, as an additional mentor. I obviously began to like FSU despite a Gator upbringing just because McKenzie was on that team. Fast forward to the future, Jordan Travis suffers a similar fate, but he was given a shot in the NFL unlike McKenzie, and I think he's going to be something really special. Arod as his mentor, unreal position to be in! The odds of me being a Jet fan is crazy, destiny!

@@streakydrip8792You have to remember that Butt Fumble and Sam Darnold only started ONE year each at USC -- both were not ready for NFL when they left... and it showed. Travis was multi-year starter and was 11-0 (including early win vs LSU and Daniels, Nabers, Thomas Jr.) when he went down. Also finished FIFTH in Heisman voting despite the 11 games. He has the experience and skill the first two guys don't and will be good in time if the ankle heals properly.

I'm a Jets fan and I'd be ecstatic if he proved he's the future franchise QB. But honestly, I'd be perfectly content if he just becomes a high quality backup. As a 5th round pick, that's not a bad outcome at all. A lot of ppl say it was his injury that took him out of the top rounds but I don't think he was ever going in the first 3 rounds. From what I've seen and heard, He's a great person, a great teammate with an intriguing skill set, and I'm rooting for him. But I aint going to put the expectations of being a franchise QB on him.

I knew that the Jets would address their needs (offensive line). I was more interested in a QB, the crop was good. I thought it was ingenious and clever move to pick a QB who was possibly a heisman trophy winner. That became the icing on the 2024 Jet draft.

THE steal of 2024 Draft, by far. Fifth in Heisman voting despite only playing 11 games for an undefeated team, won ACC POY, ACC Offensive POY, and was First Team All-ACC. Guess who won all those awards in 2022 but couldn't repeat? UNC's DRAKE MAYE, drafted THIRD overall. Also took down LSU w/Daniels, Nabers and Thomas, Jr. in an early matchup and had 20 TDs to 2 INTs for the season. Sitting behind Rodgers and Tyrod Taylor (his player comp physically) for two seasons before taking over as starting QB will do wonders for his career if the ankle gets back to 💯. NYJ will win it all in 2025, and Travis will lead them in 2026 and beyond. He'll never be a superstar but will be one of the top-5 QBs in his class, better than McCarthy and Maye for sure, worse than Daniels, Penix, and Williams and prob either #4 or #5, depending how Nix plays out. Better than Rattler also, who is right behind him, IMO. Had Jets taken Brock Bowers instead of OT Fashanu, they would have had the best Draft of any team with no clear-cut picks to be made. Jets future is bright, and they have the young guns in place to be a big Problem in AFC in three seasons, once Rodgers era is over. And it starts with Travis.
