That's like saying everyone who watched this video in the middle of the day is unemployed. 🤨 Personally, Rosie caught my attention. So true... the first time I noticed her was in the movie Money Train and even tho it wasnt a huge role, I remember telling my best friend that girl got some star quality about her... she proceeded to tell me that she was one of the FlyGirls & I was shocked bcuz we watched that show religiously... so when I went back to revisit the episodes was when I realized she didn't stand out as much as the others, she was definitely the least best dancer... she didn't leave as much as an impression which is why I didn't recognize her in the movie.

The dance scene she did in "Do the Right Thing" was just for her, there weren't other dancers in that scene. But, Keenan gave Rosie her big break as far as being a cheographer to where she went to work on music videos, work with artists, etc.

What you said has nothing to do with human psyche. We all have our own approaches to how we want to approach jobs or co-workers. Some people want to be assholes and that's their style, some people want to get along with their co-workers or employees, and etc. Rosie chose to be their boss and not be the Fly Girl's friends and it worked for her for a while and then it didn't. People complained about her behind her back and etc. Tiara the world ain't black and white, people have their personality quirks no matter where you go. You might have a job now where somebody don't like yo ass no matter how cordial or nice you are to them. Or maybe you, there might be somebody at your job that everybody is cool with, but you might not like them yourself. As the narrator stated, many of the original creators had departed by the time the show ended. The narrator even stated how the producers drastically had reduced the airtime of the Fly Girls by the end. It wasn’t a “hater” issue. It had its run.

They were both great dancers. Only difference Rosie Perez didn't fake it. Jennifer Lopez used other people's tracks/vocals to make album after album...for years. She can not sing, yet she's 'an award winning, famous singer.'

Yeah. Fox has a history of doing that to black shows. One of the writers for New York Undercover said that she was told by a higher-up that the content on the show was too ethnic.

Josie was the best. She stood out the most and had the most charismatic personality. She's quite a few episodes with speaking parts introducing. We love J Lo but I don't remember her ever being that out front at first.

I don't dislike J lo. She was a nobody and did well for herself, but she always came off as a diva. I'm surprised Rosie Perez didn't do as well and doesn't have the net worth J lo has. Maybe it was due to her reps, agents, etc.and that accent, I think, was detrimental to her career. Plus she isn't a singer. I still like ILC, they pushed boundaries and helped a lot of unknowns go onto fame. In some respects ILC had better skits than SNL and drove censors crazy with their topics. The entire Wayans family is very talented. They made TV history. Thanks for this video.

Rosie Perez became familiar to me as a regular dancer on SOUL TRAIN, long before I even heard of Jennifer Lopez!!!

I feel really sad about this because it sounded like Keenan and his judgment got in the way of what could’ve been an actual friendship between Rosie and Jennifer. Keenan put Rosie in a very bad spot.

Jennifer López is the definition of “fake it till you make it”. She was not a good dancer to begin with . You can tell she was trying to hard trying to catch up to the other dancers .

When Jlo was dreaming of stardom young Rosie was already in movies, TV, choreographing music/dancing videos and more! Rosie is a beloved and respected artist 😍

Carrie Ann Inaba from Dancing With The Stars was also on this show. Regardless of their differences, Perez and Lopez are very talented and successful women.

J Lo was never a good dancer still isn't, her vocal is unbelievably weak.

Damn if jlo was getting criticism on a black show for her weight I can only imagine her whole time in the industry was an uphill battle

I'm not going to lie they dope but people forget that Robert Townsend put these guys on first he was the first black comedian to have HBO special.

Being that hungry aint luck tho...like literally every top athelete was not naturally talented, they seized their opportunities while working much much harder than a natural to get it. People who aren't as hungry tend to sit back and not get as far.

I'm in awe of Jennifer Lopez, she's not that pretty (she's not ugly either). She's not the best dancer, mediocre maybe,, she's not a good actress, she's a terrible singer, yet she was tenacious enough to make it no matter what.

Wow so she wasn't chosen and then next thing you know Keenan gives a call to the producer saying I want her. To me that raises the question what could have happened between those two for him to keep her. It seems like she was getting away with stuff just by being the rookie on the team that means she was getting privileges. We can't deny that all those women were really good dancers but since Jennifer is the most successful of course they're going to talk good about her in more favorable terms because of her society status. To me it goes back to what Jamie Foxx was saying on his special about how Jennifer Lopez really was on a living color. The pieces come together when you think about that.

She's been doing the same 8 count since the 90s and the only good movie she did was Selena. She literally could be replaced by anyone.
