I’m sorry to learn that China has been so very badly influenced by America’s Hollywood. Being skeletal is not attractive at all to me and is a terrible sign of rich privilege. As is plastic surgery. Zhao Lusi has absolutely ruined her looks. I think having a bump on your nose, or a nose that’s wide is an understandable cosmetic change. But it’s just so “Western country” to take it too far which some of the actors and actresses have obviously done. One of the things I love most about Chinese historical dramas are all ages being participants. Grandparents, parents, children, aunts, uncles, and cousins. I just love that and these reasons are why I don’t watch movies from the West and haven’t for at least ten years.

I feel uncomfortable sometimes when watching extremely underweight actors/actresses perform strenuous fight scenes. I feel concerned for their health and it took me out of immersion while watching. For example, I mean realistically, how could a frail looking man be a great general who fought and won battles.

Once someone in power has a beef with you, they have the power to silence you completely. They can cook up an excuse, buy some marketing accounts to blow the issue up, and BAM! You disappear without a chance to defend yourself. Guilty until proven innocent, except you don’t even have the chance to do that.

Its disgusting for people to criticize other people on their looks. It's called Bullying. I feel 😢 so sorry and worried about all these people. Who have to go through all of this. How can a person just be skin and bones called beautiful. It's a disease that has taken many lives. Yet if they want to be famous. Must endure. And about all that plastic surgery they also do. Do they even remember how they really look? Their whole being is erased. Why would anyone change their heritage? They should be proud if being Asian. Having slant eyes, round face. Why do they want to look Caucasian? For the love of me. I just don't understand it. We all look different. Why would you want to look like someone else? Be proud of your heritage. All those who have taken away your identity. I'm sure aren't doing it themselves.

That used to be the case before the rise of idols around the 2000s when the Korean wave hit China. So many youngsters went to skorea for pop star training and the idol look got transplanted when they returned to China .

Asia movie entertainment is a nightmare.

I sometimes feel sorry for the those in the entertainment industry in China. If they are In China if they are slim, they are called fat if they are like skeleton are names and the body shaming is awful. The celebrities are seriously under a lot of pressure. Long Danni derogatory words became a driving force that motivated Xiao Zhan to become whom he is today. Sometimes our nasty experiences can become Golden Armour that propel us to new height.

It's a shame that the actors/actresses of China has a very strict criteria 2 stay in shape & under weight. What happened 2 compassion, respect & well-being & most of all enjoying life. China does have some orsum actors e.g Jackie Chan; he doesn't look under weight but 2 ALL actors/actresses thank u 4 blessing my phone, tv screens with your lives. I don't think this is a problem in the entertainment industry. It is a society problem when anybody can make these deroctory comments on whoever they want, even nabours, and its normal. Also there is too much power in the netizens words. In the end all actors will look the same after plastic operations. And what anoy me the most is, that theese famous people are not aloud to have a private life. They have already given away a good part of that, so let them keep what little is left

When I became ill I lost heaps of weight, looking as thin as some of those actresses. The most noticeable loss was in my breasts and buttocks which holds natural fatty tissue. I am healthy now with a healthy weight, but from lack of nutrients suffer from various ailments arthritus and chalky bone density, now a grandmother even though active mowing & gardening etc, things are becoming difficult and painful. Which makes me wonder how their bodies and bones will be when they are my age with all that extreme dieting and weight loss, most likely with little nutients. God help them if ever they want children I don't think their bodies would sustain childbirth.😮

I think all celebrities have been encountering problems throughout thei careers. Being famous is not always easy life.

It may come as a shock to some people, but the cherry blossom park around Yasukuni Shrine is a world famous tourist spot, one that is even recommended by Chinese guide books. Zhang Zhehan visited the cherry blossom park, NOT the shrine. I guess there is a double standard for celebrities. An ordinary person can take photos with the cherry blossoms, but not a celebrity. 🙄 And the Baidu (Chinese wikipedia) entry for Mrs. Dewi was amended one day before the attack on Zhang Zhehan began. Did she really deny the Nanjing Massacre? Or was it something that his enemies want everyone to believe?

I am 100% PROUD to be an African - from Nigeria. In my country's entertainment industry (Nollywood), we have ALL sizes and shapes of artists - it doesn't matter how FAT or Slim you wanna be - just be a good actor, and leave the rest for us. We LOVE our artist (the way God created them). You can check Nollywood movies on youtube here to see what am telling you. No beauty standard. No pressure. In fact, we DON'T ENCOURAGE plastic surgery at all, but if you, as an artist, decide to do it - that's your business! All this body shaming and obnoxious beauty standards the Asian peninsula is setting up for their artist is SAD indeed. Every artist are looking soooooooooooooooooooooooooo plastic, you don't even know whose feature is natural. I cry for them, seriously. Just to make it above average, somebody's peace is taken away???? Chai! God have mercy, really

These days it's not a surprise what these actors have to go thru to maintain a top position in the entertainment field. It seems like one step out of place can cause damage to their career which is very sad because a lot of good actors aren't free to be themselves, or have relationships without a lot of scrutiny mainly it seems by reporters and the public. There's so many flaws in regards to being an actor in China 🇨🇳 the land of communism. Not surprising that the female actor go thru harassment, bullying, grope and certainly being "raped" but, kept secrets. In Chinese Entertainment Industries, they lack rules, regulations and standards. If there is, lack of stronghold supports maybe due to presence of corruptions. Luo Yunxi needs to be taken off this list because he does not starve himself. We all know of folks who never put on weight despite eating a buffet every weekend. Naturally skinny gene. That is Luo Yunxi. In Till The End of The Moon, Luo Yunxi was extremely skinny because he was in an accident just before the show started filming. The injury was to his jaw area and was so severe he could not eat solid food and was on a liquid diet for some time. Filming for Till The End of The Moon also had to be delayed because he was on medical leave. When he rushed back to start filming, he still had a bruise on his left cheek. Makeup department had to pile on extra makeup to hide the bruise. If I remember correctly, he also had some small stitches at the corner of his mouth which they also tried to hide with thicker makeup. That was how bad his accident was. Do take a look at his other dramas, he is not as skinny as when he was in Till The End of The Moon.
