Why it’s too early to rejoice the Shilling growth against the Dollar. Eurobond and Debt Explained !!
There is no doubt the Shilling is winning against the dollar but for how long?
Did we rejoice too early and will all this change in a couple of months?
Unfortunately, Yes
On today's episode of LNS Rebuilding Series, we take a look at our Financial status as a country, as Dr.Alex Kamau walks us through the truth about our financial status, what Eurobond actually means and why value addition in our locally produced products is the key to a stronger nation

Thank you for bringing this gentleman. He is very knowledgeable but explains the economy in layman's language. ❤❤❤
Great session. Very informative and helpful. Dr. Alex broke down the seemingly/potentially difficult concepts into digestible bits in layman’s terminology. Well done! These are the kind of brains we need in the very crucial government posts like ministries, parastatals or key financial institutions. Not the clueless and politically-engineered appointments nincompoops who are strategically placed in these crucial dockets for the very obvious malicious reasons…to steal and amass as much for the many reasons we know. No wonder our country seems to have been sold to the dogs if not the lowest bidder. Place people with brains in key positions and we will only get better as a people, nation and continent! More power to my homeboy Dr. Alex!!!
Lynn thanks for bringing us content that enlightens and educates us. Barikiwa.

Love , love , love the conversation. Keep it up Lynn.
A very rich conversation. Thank you Lynn. ❤️
Dollar fluctuation rates hardly address the key components that affect the common man. The larger population hardly understands the shenanigans and mathematical jagons that the government bureaucrats often engage them on. Suffice to say that yes, petrol is affected either negative or positively, but the truth is, even with acute gain on the shilling, cooking oil, sugar, unga and other daily consumables never change to the benefits of the hustler. A serious paradigm shift is the only way to address the daily cries of Wanjiku. Over 45M Kenyans are really suffering, to be honest. Giving a blind eye to the health sector with the striking medics adds to more suffering. Is there anyone at the decision-making level listening? Only God can hear our cries and worries. I rest my case.

Thanks Lynn and doc for such an enlightening show. If only the government would focus on value-added manufacturing, this brain drain menace would come to a halt. As a people, we have all it takes to propel our nation to unparalleled heights.

Great to see you Alex giving economic facts and figures. Take his advice to heart, there's a lot going on in the Kenyan and global economy that we all need sound guidance moving forward. Alex is that guy.
Another concern about our country is that the rate of churches, sowing seeds, and prophecy seeking is very high as compared to industries, startups, etc. Braindrain is also another matter. When citizens raise concerns about the improvement of facilities, like Larry did about JKIA, we get bible quotes instead 😢. Like, really, why can't the government for once be SERIOUS ON MATTERS WANANCHI🥳🥳🥳🥳

My notification bell is always very panctual, let me now sit back and enjoy this episode, the topic of today is my concern,a month ago,the dollar dropped and some of us that we paid in dollars we're so stressed up bcz it dropped and our salaries automatically dropped yet back at home we weren't seeing any changes, if am asked,i would prefer it raises😌
Watching from Saudi Arabia Abha working as a kadama, where by when the rate goes down it's hits so hard,God help us that our salaries will not fall to below 30k

America heavily subsidizes farmers, that's why there's always a surplus of food here and people aren't afraid of going into farming. We need to do the same

A very important information with incredible teachings. My question is why is the Government draining every coin in our hands even before it goes to pocket? .Are our businesses held captive coz many citizens are closing or sell at a throw prise cost? Kindly advice on the way to go. Am worried 😟
That Eurobond sound like predatory lending. Why would Kenya sign up for it? Former President Kibaki would have never signed up for such a loan. The country has taken another loan to pay for the old one??? What?? Hard times ahead….

Good morning dear🙏 Hujachelewa sana🙏
I stand to be corrected If wrong. If Uganda or trading partners were purchasing Kenyan currency at the time in anticipation of the bond from the government. I tend to believe the demand for KES would significantly rise owing to the fact the supply is limited. This would in turn appreciate our currency due the supply and demand factor. High demand with low supply prices goes up, in terms of currencies if for instance you needed 100 UGS to obtain 1 kes. At high demand/when kes shillings strengthen 100 UGS may be converting to kes 0.8. This indicating the KES gains. This main problem arose due to imbalance in Balance of Trade. Lynn Keep at it very educative!
