Quavo been using that same flow for like 10 years.

His limited skillset was only meant for him to be in a group or duo to bounce off somebody. Him n Takeoff was perfect for each other. Now he’s only good for a feature. And even then it won’t make much noise.

Nah 2016 is the year when Migos really went up. That's when Bad & Bouji dropped and i finally became a fan lol. I thought Quavo would do great solo wise as well. Overall, great video! & R.I.P. Takeoff 😢🕊️🚀🚀🚀

The underrated aspect of being in a group is it covers up your inabilities as a individual sometimes.What you might not be strong at your co partner might be great at and vice versa.The migos covered up for each other's lack of overall skills by being super charismatic,flow driven with great production.They one of them groups that need each other more then they want to

Quavo has a unique voice. It stands out. Thats what people keep missing. Quavo voice is unique and it gets your attention. Offset and take off where the actual good rappers of the group. Offset was always in jail and was heavily overshadowed by quavo and take off. Until offset dropped bad and boujie and was able to show his leadership/ song writing skils everybody ignored. But its quavos voice. But when ever quavo gets the right beat / the right lyrics / the right flow its a BANGER!!!!!! 🔥

Also, I think a lot of what made him the frontman was his looks. Prepare for a deep sigh and eye roll, but colorism is still intentional and subconscious in selecting a front person even for men. Men and women audiences gravitate and it’s not about sexuality necessarily. It’s how people view the marketability of darker vs lighter skinned people.

He doesn't have enough firepower to do 2-3 verse songs.....1 verse & a good hook

Quavo is nothing without Takeoff. Takeoff helped both of them.

For me, Quavo never had any quotable lines, or at least not the best ones. Offset and Takeoff always stood out more to me, but i do remember people saying Quavo was the star back in this day. Which is why i never was surprised that Quavo wasn't doing well as a solo artist. Really none of the Migos were that strong by themselves. Takeoff was the best but he needed someone else to keep his style from sounding repetitive, imo.

I agree I think they're fire and can't be stopped all together but quavo can't hold it down by his self he's great for the chorus( hooks) for them and a lot of other artists but not as much so for the lyrics and that's definitely why Chris Brown had the advantage 💯💯

That Huncho x Jack project was a straight flop. 30 songs and not one of them was a hit. I think this was the point where QC realized that his run as the *most popular Migo* was over. Takeoff was the best rapper of the group and Offset has better stage presence, Offset really does know how to put together a live show. But Quavo is a good songwriter, he should write for other artists if he hasn’t already

Quavo was their front man. The uncle to the nephew. The mouth piece of the group. He had a role. It just wasn’t the “talent” per se. I see/saw the vision. They were a legit GROUP with different powers per man. They worked best together. Take is the only one who could’ve done more solo. His album was actually good. And securing that Wayne feature said a lot to me.

Without offset.... unc and neph had nothing changed hotel lobby messy.... they were still making bangers.... but now that take is gone... his versatility isnt there for quavo to just pick up the pieces and spit a few words around takeoffs bars and add libs effects etc that just used to sound cool .... remember danger... takeoff rapped the shit out that song and had the best verse but yeah quavo nor offset has takeoffs creativity in general so without him . Quavo is done and offset aint seem like he got another bad and bougee in him either in the near future

Why IS he a recording artist?

I don’t feel like he was a strong conceptual artist. His hooks are great, amazing, but outside of that he could never put together an album that has more content that the surface level stuff. I believe soundwise also, it’s not easy listening to 20 songs of the same thing over and over
