The biggest issue with these tunnels is not dirt. It's the tiles that break off and fall into the roadway, the visible cracks in the ceiling and walls, the visible water leaks, etc.

They need to clean the signs. They're barely reflective, and as a new resident, being able to see the signs at night is must! Especially riding the Mass Pike under the Prudential building!

This woman sounds like she's never happy with anything. I don't think those walls would ever be clean enough for her.

(And since 80% of braking is done by the front wheels due to weight-transfer, that's why your front wheels are so dirty whilst the rears are relatively clean.)

Who gives a dam, it's a friggin tunnel. I drive past and don't give a sh*t about a dirty O'Neil tunnel. This old lady should not be driving, her eyeliner is horrible

It’s just hilarious that the city has so few problems they have to go out and find things to complain about. Scroll over to the Philadelphia or Baltimore local news and see what they talk about on there

😂😂😂I agree 👍, some old lady with bad eyes complaining. Meanwhile Boston has become world-class and amazing. The seaport district has transformed into the coolest urban water front !! Boston rules.. Philly, nyc, Baltimore are dumps....

I ask the same every time I pass by them.

I'm looking at the first picture, which shows the brush truck. Where are those hand rails? They cut those off years ago, that's an old photo.

Your worried about dirty tunnels, how about the damn roads, the roads in any city are in terrible shape

What are you talking about? We have a great city. Everything is perfect. No problems whatsoever!

I just don't like the new lighting system. It's super glary and should come with a strobe warning at the beginning of the tunnel. The old system created an outline of the borders of the tunnel which was very helpful when driving, especially for new drivers.

Dirt on the walls are caked in . The issue is illumination the lights casing need regular cleaning

Dirty tunnels in a dirty city

Tunnels are not in good shape and always dirty can’t even see sometimes .. I have no idea the truck existed never seen any ever and I drove the tunnels for years.

Not mention the filthy signs and burned out lighting.

It’s about public corruption, public employees are not motivated to do their jobs. Like night time lighting on the turnpike out to Rte 128. Like a 3rd world country, no one wants to go out and replace burned out lights.
