I’m looking forward to it I love oasis class ships. I booked in August for 3 nights on my bday but it was stressing me out only getting 3 nights so I booked a back to back. Ended up being a little less than what prices are now going for a 7 night.

I think it’s not getting a lot of attention. It’s because it’s only a three or four day cruise ship. It’s not a seven day cruise ship.

Good point, Charles! 3 and 4 day cruises aren't as enticing to most seasoned cruisers. I think Royal is trying to attract a new market of first time cruisers with these short sailings so that could be another reason why! I would be all over a 7-nighter like I was for Wonder and Icon! It will be a success, there will be a lot of people out there they don’t want to spend 7 days and prefer 3-4 max and also experience the new Big ship. It’s easy for RC to charge current oasis class 7 day trip price to these 3-4 day cruise and lot of people will easily fall for it (both parties will be happy).

Wonder next year is turning into a 3/4 night cruise. As for Utopia, I don't think it was initially planned to have another oasis ship. Wonder was supposed to be the last in the fleet.

I booked utopia as soon as it was announced last summer, for this coming September. While we can’t do everything on the boat in 3 days, it is nice to have a variety of options to fit every one’s preferences. Now if they could just increase capacity of childcare, we parents could start really enjoying the evenings.

Awesome! You’re going to love this brand new ship! The 3-day will be a nice appetizer and then perhaps can come back for a 4-nighter or even do back to back which most folks are doing for 7 nights. Be sure to check their Adventure Ocean kids program offerings and the timing, our daughter loved it on Icon. On our cruise she could stay there from 10pm-1am for $10 per hour, but we never took advantage of that since it was super late, she was with us every evening to take it all in 😊 Thanks for watching!

@@CruisingWithJTmy last two royal cruises the nursery was always full, I am a plan as we go type and not the type to book all hour hours in advance. Luckily she’s 3 soon!

It’s cool that it’s under the radar, means some good deals are available. Just booked a fairly well priced balcony. Back to back bookings allow some package flexibility too.

I think since it is not a brand new class of ship, there is not much more to report. They may still be making decisions. I think once they are further in the build process we things are set in stone we will see and hear more. I want to know which water slides will be included, how many pools and jacuzzis will be on board (not including Coco Cay) and would love to see the actual cabins

I got a balcony for two on the 4 night for 900 and change. I then got 175 on board credit and dinner for two at a specialty restaurant. Then i got a 50.00 credit for something. i can't even remember. We are going Sept 16

It's not enough sail days JT. I think that's why it's not getting media attention. Avid cruisers don't want a 3/4 night cruise. New cruisers aren't pulling the trigger to get on. Eventually, i believe this will go to 7 days.

That’s very true, although I heard they are going to make Wonder of the Seas do 3 and 4 night cruises as well as Utopia of the Seas. Not sure I’m a fan of that…

we are booked for October and I can't wait. The prices aren't cheap but its apparent to me they are trying to attract the long-weekend crowd. The weeklong cruisers (which we usually are) are not going to do the Utopia and that's fine. This is going to grab the last minute, in state cruisers. Norwegian doesn't offer shorties, Carnival does on older ships. This is a good time for RC to get into the Florida-short cruise market. By the way, there is a simulated Train dining car on this ship and we are 107 days from our cruise yet they won't let us make reservations for that particular venue. Interesting.

I’m not sure if you heard but Wondee of the Seas will also be doing three and four day sailings from Miami starting August 2025. So that means their two newest Oasis-class ships will be offering three and four nighters! If only I lived in Florida 😂

@@CruisingWithJT Oasis of the Seas is already doing 3 and 4's. Gives us Floridians a lot of choices. Of course the geography of the state makes certain ports more desirable than others. I live Central Fla. so Miami is five hours away, Tampa three, Ft. Lauderdale four hours and Pt. Canaveral only an hour and a half. You know where we are leaving from? That's right, Pt. Canaveral.

Maybe because it's so big of a ship that 3-4 days isn't going to cut it? Are they forcing us to take back to back cruises?

I think that’s a real good reason, plus Utopia isn’t a new class. Most folks I know we doing b2b cruises, rare to do 3 or 4 nights especially if you’re coming from far away.

I live in Florida and won’t take this ship for another two or three years because it’s just too expensive. I’ll let people like yourself sail and pay top dollar on this ship and work out the bugs and possibly complaints this way it would be ready for me after the the new car smell.

@@CruisingWithJT Last year in 2023 on our first cruise it was only 168 mile drive to Port Canaveral sailing on independence of the seas. In a few more months will be driving to Port Canaveral again for adventures of the seas.

Because it’s the 6th in a class they’ve been making for a decade and a half and doesn’t break any records? Icon was a first… it’s not a difficult question at all. The answer is extremely obvious.
