You have an amazing rig there Chris, really amazing. You're really lucky to own this. For anyone who has a love for the former event they will really appreciate how you've kept this vehicle. It has real character. While I was in France last year I was lucky enough to come across a Camel Disco and had a chat with its owner. It was probably the most memorable part of my holiday!!! Lovely intercom installation too :) Great to see ham radio onboard too. Your advice on fuses is 100% right. A Landy is a labour of love, there is no other way to describe it. Remember that a Landy never leaks engine oil, it's simply the inbuilt anti-corrosion system working!!!! It's been brilliant to hear the two of you chat about and show us this amazing rig. Thank you so much. OB#17170

Land Rovers (series through Defenders) are a love/hate relationship. You love 'em when your driving them and hate 'em when you're fixing them (which is rather often!) I'm currently building (re-building, really) a 1987 Defender in the UK for a year-long expedition across southern and eastern Africa. Would a Land Cruiser be better? Probably; rides better, more reliable, and utterly soulless. Defenders come with a brotherhood (and sisterhood!) where if you are stopped on the side of the road or trail, any other LR driver will stop and help. Not unlike Jeeps here in the States. Thanks for the tour, Doc!
