Why Is South Africa So Rich? The Chief Daddy Of Africa.

Why is South Africa So rich?
Forget, Nigeria, Morocco, Algeria, Egypt, and Ghana. When it comes to money all these fore mentioned countries are just the new kids on the block. South Africa is the original gangster economy in Africa. Yup, South Africa is the OG wealthiest nation in Africa even though it has fallen to Nigeria. South Africa is the second richest country in Africa. You see this country is what I like to call “Old Money Rich.” The OG nation is like African royalty and that’s not just because of Nelson Mandela. No, because you probably didn’t know that South Africans were building factories that manufacture automobiles before Nigerians even had a national anthem. This country is the only African country with enough banks to host its own world cup. And if you know anything about the World Cup, you know it ain’t cheap. South Africans are so sassy, so posh that their drinking water is rated 3rd best in the world for being safe and ready to drink. They beat England, Germany, China, and even the United States on that scale.
But Before we dig into All the details into why south Africa Is So rich. we would love for you to take a second and hit the like button on this video… It Helps more people see Our Content. have you done that? Let’s continue.

Be careful of this economic analyst, some are done by white south Africans who have no best interest at heart to show SA in a positive light, SA has progressed every second ever since post 1994. So far SA corporations have expanded more than before and soon than later, the return of this investment will show. Out of 500 big companies in Africa, 300 are from SA and majority of investment are from Pension funds

@@lozi4163 that’s a big generalisation . Well there are many whites who claim we haven’t made any progress. You forget that they were white South Africans who supported the Progressive party and Democratic Party who very anti apartheid. Joe Slovo was a white South African who was one of the ANCs chief negotiators. U forget the referendum in 1992 asking white South Africans if they supported the ongoing negotiations passes by 2/3 of the white vote. I’m sure there are many who feel the country hasn’t progressed. But to say “done by white South Africans who have no best interest at heart to show South Africa in a positive lite.” Is very unfair. There many black South Africans that criticise the country daily and say there has been no real progress in their lives. Now I believe we have made a lot of progress. The black middle class since 1994 went from around 1 million to over 5 million. Though let’s be honest have things gone wrong. Well if you look at the death toll caused by Apartheid security forces and political violence from the 1940s to the 1990s I will arrive at a estimated 21 000. If you look at South Africans Killed in violent crime it’s around 20 000 every year. 526,000 South Africans were murdered from 1994 to 2019 according to the The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime. Making the apartheid death toll over half century look like nothing in 25 years. Are unemployment rate 35% are youth unemployment rate is over 50%. So to look to say South Africa hasn’t made progress in all areas is a lie. But to say it’s gotten way worse in some other areas is a fact. Now I love South Africa. I’m ridiculously patriotic. I love our nation so much I want to see it succeed. Fuck I’ll even try actively to make to succeed when I’m older. I’m probably one of the few white South Africans you will meet that has made Effort to learn Africans languages. I’ve gone to a Zionist Christian church many times. I like to go the shebeem and drink traditional beer with my friends. I’m a proud white South African. But I’m a prouder South African. I can promise you we not all racists. We don’t all want to back the good old days. I’m young to be honest I’ve grown up in the rainbow generation. I went to a very multicultural public school. me and my friends grew up lucky. Lucky that we could be friends. So I can’t blame black South Africans for thinking or having negative opinions of whites due to our history it’s completely fair. Though don’t put us all in the same box. We may be different skin colours but under it we all the same colour.

Yeah, it was run by White people until, 1994. The economy is still mostly in their hands. Most Black/Bantu people still live like in any other African country. It's basically a first-world-country within a third-world-country. Of course many Black people get to enjoy the good life of SA too. Mostly by making money in politics via corruption or the South African version of affirmative action, which is called Black Economic Empowerment. For example there is the Employment Equity Act and many more bills that favor Black people by law. No wonder that there's a huge brain drain from SA if White people can't just not find work but are also not allowed to run a business without a Black partner in business. The SA police force, for bad reasons of course, was once on of the best police forces in the world. Now people rise through the ranks without proper education or experience, just because of their race. Which made the SA police almost workless in some areas. They just can't handle their tasks because of bad leadership and lack of education and experience _(remember Apartheid ended in 94, there was time to train)._ The police special units were also extraordinary! There are awesome clips from the late 90's, here on KZread. The police certainly had to go through a major process after the end of Apartheid, because they played an active, if not the most important role to suppress the non-White population and many crimes against humanity were carried out directly by the South African Police Force. But exchanging the whole institution would naturally lead to disaster. The newly formed Bundeswehr in West Germany was mainly build up by Wehrmacht officers that weren't directly involved in Nazi crimes. That could have been an example. Some made it into top positions at NATO. Now SA has the by far largest private security industry in the world and ordinary police work is done by these private institutions. The same goes for the military. It was by no doubt the best military on the African continent. Conscription and officer ranks were for Whites only during the years of the Apartheid state. But there were people of all races in the enlisted/NCO ranks. SA was even a nuclear power. The Wehrmacht example could've worked here too. Mandela and his successor Mbeki clearly weren't out for revenge. And they were brutal victims of the former regime. Also the vast majority of White South Africans were up for reconciliation instead of conflict, if you count out mad guys like Eugene Terre'Blanche and his Afrikanern nationalists, that couldn't let go the past. Now almost 30 years later. Things already have shifted. Partys are out for expropriation without compensation and slaughtering Whites/Afrikaners/Farmers. This country is rich enough for everybody. It will probably take a hundred years to get the Black population on the same level as the Whites. But to harsh legal action against a group of people that basically carry the economy of the country, will not lead to any good. As we've seen in Zimbabwe _(which is begging now for the farmers to come back)._ Generations might still have to suffer before acquiring the same status as others but hiding behind _"injustice"_ won't bring a society forward. It will probably just manifest things. I recommend everyone to read Thomas Sowell, he's a black scholar on economy and sociology. He also has knowledge on Africa. SA might either have a *VERY* bright future, your country is located at the best place in the world, or it will be *VERY* dark. _Disclaimer: I'm not a native speaker, nor have I ever been to an English speaking country. I also hope this comment won't be deleted because of its "controversial" content._

The most beautiful and blessed country in Africa, the GDP and per capita look pretty well and quite rich but when you dive deeper into the Gini coefficient, racial distribution of wealth, income, land, industry and you'll see the shame of our country,we really need to do better because all of us know we can, but we'd have to put our differences aside and realise Mandela's dream and every single South African will agree with me when I say the biggest obstacle towards this is our politicians and their insatiable greed for public and private funds meant to feed the poor and uplift them out of poverty and for development

  • @yannick245

The Gini coefficient shows it all! It's a first-world-country within a third-world-country. If you have the money to spare. SA is probably the best place to live on earth. You can buy an estate/mansion, with all the goodies, for the same money you'll get a three room apartment here in Heidelberg, Germany. _(Except for some areas in Cape Town or Sandton)_ An you'll get to enjoy the the most beautiful landscape you can have within one county together with the US. All Western amenities/conveniences with cheap prices. Ten years ago their SPAR supermarkets were way ahead of our supermarkets here in Germany. Now REWE is catching up. But there's nothing I haven't seen ten years ago in South Africa. Abd the products are relatively cheap because they're produced in SA itself. Not like shopping in Luanda or Harare, were every bottle of water is imported. But there's the crime, the crime and the crime. You have to live behind a wall with NATO fences, watch dogs and private security. Nothing really much happens in public. Again Cape Town is an exception. So if you want to house like a celebrity, secluded from the world outside but with everything money can buy, South Africa might be your place _(again, don't forget the money part)!_

Unfortunately it is if you take into account the rate of poverty and the amount of wealth produced and who gets most of it ,people run away from authoritarian, oppressive dictators, religious murder bands, guerilla militia, village massacres which you usually don't read about in the media, because it's usually eurocentric and ANC,EFF and DA centric, they come here because South Africa is a country without a war,a dictator and has a constitution guaranteeing human rights for everyone living in it,and the richest in Africa,is why most who come here are poor running away from wars and oppression. The reason there aren't much investments into those countries is many reasons, a large majority of us are poor with no business education about how to open foreign investments as well as the fact that those countries are led by corrupt, authoritarian leaders known or plundering businesses, simply opening a business in the lawless regions of Congo would be having to pay roadblocks by rebel soldiers to pass through which could be as many as 30 just to get there, profitability and safety don't exist, and a whole other reasons too

African Americans live a life most Africans could only dream of and enjoy a far higher standard of living than almost any African living on the African continent. If African Americans were a separate nation, they would be wealthier than any African nation and by some distance. America isn’t even 400 years old, so what are you on about “free labour for 400 years”? Lastly, nowhere in the world is wealth perfectly distributed in exact proportion to a groups share of the population. So your idea that African Americans somehow “deserve” 13% of the wealth simply because that is their share of the population is ridiculous and speaks to your entitlement and privilege. You get what you work for. As for Whites not being bothered. Again, what are you on about? A disproportionate amount of welfare goes to a Africa Americans and other minorities (more than their share of population) and America has had nearly 60 years of Affirmative Action. Think more critically instead of constantly stirring hatred and envy. That helps no one and is counter-productive.

I believe in the growth of this country we can do better, while this video is encouraging but the dogs(ANC) are doing all it takes to destroy. Thanks for the video

Sadly all of this had been kept going mostly by established entrepreneurs and is not properly supported by the ANC government. South Africa is slowly declining and becoming poorer due to policies that does not sustain economic growth and by keeping the racial divide debate alive!!!! If left to the people of South Africa - with ANC propaganda and mismanagement - it will flourish again.

Few things South Africa needs to unlock its full potential Heavy investment in Manufacturing (like it used to be), like really heavy . In that way they can have a substitute on mining and employment get to grow . Technology, we already invest heavy in technology but it’s not enough . To eliminate inequality in South the country needs to creat work opportunities through manufacturing , that way you shorten the gap of inequality because people will have the means to survive and feed themselves .

Now imagine how wealthy it could be without: - unemployment of 35% (due to labour policies) - rampant corruption (R500 billion or US$35 billion meant to fight covid stolen in 2020 alone) - poor maintenance of infrastructure (most railways out of service, parliament building burnt down because sprinklers weren't working, sewage being dumped in rivers around Joburg etc) - crime (60 murders per day, more private security guards than police officers) ... and so on

What's not mentioned is that we are also proudly the most unequal nation on Earth, what this means for those that still assume "white people" have all the money in the country, no, that is not the case. Whilst there are still wealthy white families there are also now more wealthy black and Indian families, at the same time there is rampant poverty amongst all races. All this due to corruption because we live in a system that makes the friends of friends wealthy and not in a democratic manner at all, proof of this can be witnessed in the tender process. Deniers are simply blind to the rot in their government or they benefit from the broken system somehow if they defend it. As a person who is employed under the local government I can tell you that black people are being lied to daily, they think the black government has their best interest, they do not, they only care about their own needs and to hell with everyone else even the majority.

They helped each ather. After almost 30 years from 94, every thing is still blamed on apartheid, but people that came to power do not look after their own poelpe that fought in the struggle. Corruption is sinking a beutiful country that I know can work together and become so much better.
