Good information and explanation. Another very important point to remember is to avoid over feeding / excess feeding of fishes. Why because food falling to the aquarium floor and not eaten will decay and convert to ammonia resulting in cloudy water. Thanks

Hi Sir, I have Molly's in the tank. All of sudden the Molly's came up and stayed there. So I thought it might be due to the less oxygen in water. Then again I changed the water again it is staying up. Added the rock salt also. Have changed the water 50% but still facing the issue. Please suggest what to do

Hi I've added sand from nearby by sea shore without washing. Its a 100 gallon cichlid tank It was fine while cycling but after adding fishes and running wave maker its becoming dusty The dust appears to be low density white powder which sticks ro aquarium walls and wave maker and all Should i take all sand out and wash it or is there any other way Tia

The sand will get in the filter and block it, not a good idea to use the sand. Also it will have parasites and bacteria that may harm the fish

I made a live plants aquarium two days before ..rives sand is used . Sobo 3000 F filter is using .how much time will it take the water to become crystal clear. I think air pump is circulating so much water and shaking the sand . Do u think that is a problem.

Hello Sir, great Videos by you. I bought some ceramic rings yesterday, I washed it before putting it in my HOB filter. Water seems to be cloudy, is it because of ceramic rings? I also have sponge in filter which have beneficial bacteria.

I use all kinds of filters except powerhead

Sir my tank has recently started becoming cloudy all the time. It is brownish in colour. I cleaned the canister filter that i use and replaced the filter floss. I have bio rio in the filter and use RO filtered water. Diatom is present and added algae eaters as well as do regular maintenance with water changes. Tank is almost 2 months now since set up. I have been dosing Seachem flourish advance daily and iron twice a week. Lightning 6 hours a day, pressurised co2 3-4 hours a day. Substrate is amazonia ver 2. About 2 weeks back i also added ada super 4 in the water. I am not sure what is wrong, please help!!

Mayur Dev - Aquascaper a piece of regular driftwood and black volcanic rock and lava rock. The lava rock was washed before putting it in the tank because it was discolouring the water. Driftwood was property treated in boiling water and soaking. It could be the lava rock that is still causing discolouration.

Hi, I am a beginner, starting off with a very small tank, around 1.5ft height, 2ft length, 0.60ft width. Have around 8-10 small fishes a mix of mollies and sword tail fish. Currently running internal filter, but i feel water gets cloudy within 2 days. What do you suggest, me buying a sponge filter with air pump or a hang in back filter for this small setup. I am also planning to setup another tank of 1ft width, height & length for red cherry shrimps so for that also i will have invest in filters. Can you advise, how to go about the first case....thank you.

Basically I have tap water planted tank n I have seen some singaporean video where they use many type of bio medias n most of them r not available here though they say to avoid chalk type ceramic rings but same thing is available here in different sites. So I have hang up filter n i am planning to remove sponge n put layered bio media of atleast two kind separated by black porce sponge. In your video u put ada bio rio in the base of aquarium. Is only that enough or do I have to do both. My only intention is to keep water clear with full of good bacterias as u suggest. Pls suggest me on this. Or is it ok if I put some bio rio inside the filter compartment as a layer

Sir ada ka bio media ki small packing nahi milti kya .sir mere paas 1.5 feet ka tank hi

Is bio media really required for non planted tanks?? I have sponge filters for a 60 litre tank and only 4 fish.

It is suggested as the bacteria won't colonize on the sponge

Can it be due to type of glass of the aquarium too ? Cheap aquarium glass with green yellow tint in it ?

Sir, mera 3ft x 1.5ft x 1.5ft ka tank hain...usme giant gourami (1pc), oscar (3 pcs), parrot (3 pcs), dollar (2 pcs) hain. Tank bara lene ka soch raha hu...kitna ft ka tank perfect hoga ? Suggest kijiye pls.
