Yes, I paid less than $500 for all of my pochettes. I’ve worn them with my bandolier straps over the yrs. Mine basically still look new accept for my mini that came with my bucket bag almost 20 yrs ago. Thank God I got mine early. I would NEVER purchase one now !!!

Same! The quality is so bad, my superfakes 1:1 dupes are even better quality for 100-200€. These companies laugh at their stupid costumers who still make them rich!!!

So, I was decluttering and found an LV receipt from Y2K for my bucket bag in epi leather and it was a little over $600 with tax!!! And it still looks great for a 23 yr. old bag. Quality was still prioritized. Gone are the days! 😢😂

so true re: quality 😬 They keep charging more because they know that they can not for any other reason. Used to be that higher cost meant something about the quality but now higher price is literally just about price elasticity. I have heard execs say as much. We charge more because we can.

I used to LOVE Louis Vuitton, but now that time feels so very far away. I never thought I would actively detest this brand the way I do now. Their current pieces and collections do nothing for me. I still love what I have (which is all at least two years old, and a lot of it much older), but I'm absolutely done buying from them, full stop. And even if I was charmed by something they put out (and could afford it), WHY would I give them my money, and further enable their shenanigans??

Agree - the brand identity isn’t clear. I don’t find the majority of their bags functional or practical.

I got my pochette accessories in 2000 for less than $200!! It still looks amazing. I wouldn't pay a penny over $500..

I also got one in 2000 and paid £100 at Harrods. I still have it, using as crossbody bag with the strap I got at DUYB. Love it!

Yes! I think I got mine in 2007 and it was about $400. I've barely used it and it looks brand new. I was shocked to see what they retail for now.

Same here, I beat the hell out of mine, the strap could probably use replacing but the body of the purse still looks good. I paid about $200 for it as I remember, which was a lot for me back then.

They are squeezing customers. The PA was a great deal a few years ago but no more. For $1520 you can buy great other bags…. Full leather bags.

"Lazy, shady, and lame." YES. I now only purchase vintage pieces from the fashion house. The current Louis Vuitton design teams and top brass have lost their minds with the overproduction, lack of quality, and exorbitant pricing.

they hate seeing customers being creative and they wanna capatilise on everything. at the end of the day, we are the clowns and they get all the money

I bought one when it was $745 and I returned it because I didn’t think it was worth the money. It’s laughable that they want to charge $1500+. I mean you can buy real bags in that price range.

Ehh it is what it is. People will continue to purchase regardless of the quality issues and price increases and Louis V knows it. I think my last bag purchase from Louis Vuitton was my Graceful MM back in 2020 and I have no intentions on purchasing from them anytime in the near future. If I want something I find it on the pre loved market and save myself some money.

I am so happy I have all my classic LV bags still. I purchased this Pochette about 3 years ago and still can't believe the price increase!

I’m over LV!!! I’m glad I purchased my PA before the insane prices increases. I will admit you influenced me on the Toiletry 26 after watching your video on the 3 sizes. Originally I was leaning towards the 19 and I’m so glad I went with the 26 before they were discontinued. I use it as a clutch. Great video!

I'm glad that you're doing collabs w/ DUYP since the quality is there and the price point is actually affordable... unlike LV

I also think they WANT to price out certain people on purpose... now they've filled the gap with doing what people were already doing and they had to KNOW that people did it so they could afford to get into LV. They don't want LV to be able to be attained, I am serious... they only want certain levels of people who have "x" money getting LV. sad.

OMG!! I bought a Pochette Accessoires in 1994 $100 from the LV store in Cherry Creek Mall along with my Alma and a vachetta crossbody strap all in, 3 LV pieces less than $750.00.....

I'm so glad I have all the pieces I want because pricing is getting absolutely obnoxious

I feel like by doing this they are saying they don’t want people buying their SLGs and making them into handbags so they will do the same and raise the price so much that people will be forced to shop elsewhere. They seem super salty that customers are smart to turn their items into bags and they didn’t think to do the same first 🙄 I’m so glad I picked up all the items that I love because no way I’m paying that much for canvas. They officially lost their mind!

Omg I got that pochette for like $150! I can’t believe the price increase!

Honestly the toiletry 26 is a great bag, but I only use it for toiletries as I find it annoying to carry under my arm or hand held. When I got it it was $445 pre tax and this was in 2019!

my friend went to Milan and I asked her to buy the mini pochette ( can’t fit my iPhone max ) w long body chain and when my friend tried it she love it too and she bought one herself and for me . The LV staff said she’s only allowed 2 pcs max on this style . After tax it was just 600euro. 1wk after she arrived back in Asia , LV announced price increase for it in our hometown 😂

I am still new to the luxury scene and have some classic pieces from LV I would still love to acquire but the high price increases is making that really hard. I don’t mind pre-loved but some pieces you want to create your own marks on and to be forever pieces. I love the items from your collaboration. I have three pochettes and two of the smaller pochettes and I can’t seem to stop! It’s a very nice alternative to the LV pochette accessories, so thank you for that! Love them all, quality is great and I have enjoyed other items too from DUYP. ❤

My Mini Pochette was $300. The prices are insane now. I have the Pochette Accessories in 4 prints. I add the chain from my Felicie or I use a Vachetta strap from DUYP. They’re so versatile and I love that they’re a little under the radar. I bought all of them preloved and spent less that $1000 total. I love your collaboration.

Have a vintage PA. Bought my pochette accessoire for $25 in an estate sale and i had the leather strap and zipper replaced for $240.

I wanted that Atlantis bag when I heard about it. Well, there is no MM size coming and the GM is going to be $3400. The more I look at it the more I hate it. The loop GM in leather is less! I think I’m officially done.

It’s ridiculous they just copy what customers do with chains. They’re not creative and even if they do come up with new designs I don’t feel gravitated towards any of it😒

$1520 is insane for a pochette accessoire. I had one from ages ago, sold it as I wasn't using it, missed it and repurchased at $1000 - oh well. Turns out though it's the only LV "bag" I'm using, all the others sit on the shelf. I strangely feel self-conscious in my larger pieces even though I loved them and used them all the time up to about 3 years ago.

I completely agree with the KKUWAN . Mine is croc and silver hardware. Such a BEAUTIFUL and timeless bag. Also, i have the leather marc jacobs mini tote in the lilac purple from last year (regal orchid) and it's an amazing every day back, along with my coach leather tote.

I bought both the pochette and mini pochette during college in 2013. The mini pochette was $300 then lol. I sold them because they hadn’t been used for years. I purchased a LV card holder last month online and their canvas is much thinner these days. The quality isn’t the same. I went w Prada saffiano instead.

The increase is crazy for the Pochette Accessoir. I remember getting mine in 2003 for $250 if I remember correctly. I would the pay the new price of the toiletry pouch either. First of all the shape of it is cute but I like other bags more. The Mini Pochette is my favorite piece here. I like your Carmel piece for $119. Love it. It definitely matches your Birkin. I think prices for luxury pieces has gotten insanely crazy high of recent years. Honestly it’s starting to put me off. I understand a slight increase but at the rate that these luxury houses are now increasing their prices, it just simply does not make any sense!! I haven’t bought any pieces from LV for awhile. The recent most is a piece that hubby bought me for my birthday this year. I think LV haven’t really added much pieces recently that I would consider. I agree with you, I think they are now just sloppy and increasing their prices to match other houses. I remember I paid like $900 or less for my Neverfull GM like 15+ years ago. It’s holding up very well. I don’t think I’ll pay over AUD3k for one now… just no way! 😂

It’s 12/26 just went on LV and yep the PA is discontinued! Just last week the Damier Azur was still available. What the heck…

Left hand ring finger has the Cartier trinity band and Tiffany’s diamond band. Right hand middle finger has a custom designed stacked ring with white gold, yellow gold, and rose gold with 5 black diamonds!

RE: The large toiletry pochette-I bought the men’s version, black leather instead of vachette and no chain and mini. RE: The Pochette Accessoire-I lost interest when the price went sky high (over the 1,000.00$ mark). And I hate that they keep mucking with such a perfectly utilitarian little bag.

I’m so thankful I was able to buy many of those pieces before they increased to this extent! I bought three pochette accessoires (one for me and the other two for my daughters) when they were $500, so three for the price of one today! BTW, I just bought one of your beautiful collaboration pochettes from DUYP in the caramel, thank you for the video and discount code!🤗🤎

Insanity! The pochette accessories was my first luxury purchase piece that my husband bought me in 2015 for $500. I use a long LV Damier ebene strap with it and wear it crossbody. There are a few cracks in the canvas and the rings have turned to silver from gold, but I still grab it as a daily bag to run errands, etc. I still love it but no way I’d spend $1500 for a new one!

Oh i got my Pochette Accessories for about 600 and that time i thought it was expensive. Now i am glad i bought that, that time changed my mind from other handbag to this and it was meant to be mine, opened for pre order when i was so happened to be there. Ok even if i do not have it now, i will NOT buy it at this price. I rather pay a bit more and buy a handbag or can even go for another brand. Not necessarily LV. I do add a chain or whatever strap i feel like when i am using it. I feel that is a lazy job but greedy on the profit.

I went for the Multi-pochette Accessories instead just last year after contemplating of getting the PA for months. I'm glad i did because it's roomier than my Felicie Pochette. I know a lot of you guys got your LV items way cheaper..but that was years ago. These prices aren't getting lower unless you do vintage. If I had settle for something else I know I won't be truly happy so unless you can compromise then do alternatives.

I’d just like them to make a bag like the old Favourite, or Eva or Pallas with a treated leather, cross body strap. I don’t want the Ivy with its extra chain and long shoulder strap or the Lily with its too short for cross body chain. I don’t want leather that ruins in the rain. The revised PA is up on the website now and both straps have the same short drop length. If they made the leather one cross body length it would have flown off the shelves.

They are trying to Go back to being more of an exclusive brand after being labeled the MCDONALD'S of the luxury world ! anybody can Glasses, accessories, wallets, shoes, fragrancea, jewelry, or handbags, but they are originally a luggage company.

I think in this case there is a big improvement...I sold my pochette accessoiries in monogram because I could not drape a chain across the front evenly. The added d ring fixes this! I ended up buying the multi pochette accessoiries so I could deck out the front of my large pochette with a chain that drapes much more nicely than the old pochette accessoiries nm...

As much as I dislike the price increases, I will say I prefer the small updates vs. just hiking up the price for the sake of driving down demand to preserve “exclusivity” without any changes (sometimes, even lowering the quality). I have taken a step back from shopping at Louis Vuitton, Chanel, etc. I will reconsider when these “updates” start focusing on quality and improved sourcing of better materials, etc.

Vintage is the answer. For those who buy new, other brands like Delvaux, Joseph Duclos and other artisan-made bags can be the solution. I don't "trust" LV, Chanel, Hermès to have their clients' interest in mind.

Oh I don’t know bc I’ve never applied anything on to my canvas bags! I feel like the natural oils from my hands and the lotion I put on my hands might be doing the trick!

They're trying so hard to make it a standalone bag rather than a bag-within-a-bag. Obviously I haven't held the new version but the zipped interior pocket looks hefty for such a small bag. I just purchased a preloved LV mini pochette because the all leather coach wristlet did not work for me and I just feel like with them adding stuff into the pochette, it might be the same scenario.

So over LV, I just started a purge of my LV collection. They sure love to alienate their customer base these last few years with absurd price increases and continuing to discontinue their most functional pieces.

I am so glad I have all my pieces and won’t be adding. Never full, pochette Métis in empriente, original favourite mm, mini pochette, utility bag, round coin purse, several wallets and card holders. Now I am done! LV has just gotten ridiculous

They will do same with neverfull. Pm Damien ebene being discontinued, off Australia website now and neverfull bb with zip came out, then they will put zipper on pm size, Will be exact Same cycle with this PA !!!

I feel like they just want to continue raise the price and by reimagining current bags by adding something simple like a chain they know people will justify the price increase and continue to purchase from them. I feel like its really sad. So many companies are decreasing the quality and simplicity for profit. It makes me look towards the secondhand market more for better quality vintage pieces that are more reasonably priced.

It’s sad that this is what LV and Apple do but they still have customers that line up for it and buy it regardless 😢 I guess that’s how supply and demand works?

Of course they’re going to put a chain on things and increase the prices because they can and if they discontinue the original and it’s not available anymore, anyone wanting it now has to pay the new price. It is lazy but no need to be creative if people are clamoring to get these pieces regardless. Although interestingly, all these pieces that were never available in the past are now always available even online. They have mini pochettes from last years Christmas animation still available online. I love DUYP products, but little pouches have always been available. People wanting an LV pochette aren’t substituting them with the DUYP one. Or the coach ones. They want the one that says LV on it usually. Because it’s not really just about function. I definitely would not pay the new price. Up to $1000 maybe but no more. My Damier ebene one was $500 5 years ago, but I got my DA one a couple years ago, new but on the resale market for $1000 because they were not available anywhere. I do so wish that DUYP made the pochette accessories in the dark pink though. I am ordering one for travel in the caramel as it’s so versatile. Such pretty colors. And I love all their straps and chains!

My last LV purchase was in 2022. In the last 12 months I have bought and returned 4 bags. . . 4. All for quality issues. I went with Givenchy and I am so glad I did. I will never buy LV from the boutique again. Vintage is the way to go. The customer service and quality issues with LV are enough to turn good customers away.

I absolutely love that bag! But I'm at the point where vintage just makes more sense. I bought a multicolore pochette for less than that, and it was pristine! I don't think the customer experience in these luxury stores is ever that great either.

I love my LV Pochette Accessoires I got in 2001. It still looks new. I think the poportions are so much nicer on the old one. The new one is longer and looks more like a pen case.

Exactly. Price increases are to be expected over time, but the lack of creativity and effort plus all the quality issues just absolutely doesn’t justify the higher prices.

I bought my PA for less $400 back in 2004. I’ve bought a replacement strap for it but other than that still looks good. 😂😂😂

I have all 3 of those LV bags and would not buy them again at the new prices. That said I know I wouldn’t be happy with something trying to be them so would buy if I couldn’t stop thinking about them and would use them.
