Little disclaimer to you guys. Transgender Persons (Protection of Rights) Act, 2019 recognizes rights of Transgender in India. National Council for Transgender Persons has been established in the year 2020 to make sure that welfare schemes and provisions are followed. The Govt of India went a step ahead to make a law for their rights unlike other countries. This is why India is Great.

Most bizzare thing is the ignorance displayed by few Indians to their own culture and practices. Often when I see our own kind with cooling glasses and jeans fashionably walking through streets speaking in English while being unable to properly communicate their message and travelling the sanctuaries in jeeps with some kind of khaki and hat on..... it feels laughable 🤣😂. It is as if they got some "Colonial infection - not 'Corona' - 'Colonial' " 😂 In EU if you come here people are more focussed on "getting the artha or meaning transferred" and language is merely a communication tool. Even in scholarly papers they request to : "prevent usage of 'complicated' english words"....... you will get humbled by the atmosphere. These people love their culture and tradition. Why even go to Britain or even U.S you will find the farm culture, country culture etc. very much intact. While in India the aim is to appear as a foreign entity, it's despicable actually sorry to put it that way. I grew up in village and town and was fortunate enough to imbibe most possible nuances, culture and traditions and continue learning and practicing. Don't know what people think they can achieve by not respecting their own culture. Are they going to get the 'Medal of Honor' 😂

All that chest thumping of a country whose health care system collapsed not once but every time it’s put to test , where the country is striving hard to provide LIFE Which is the bare ask of a living being residing, where food, shelter and clean water are too much to ask for applicable to a lion share of the population, education is a luxury Caz we are yet to move past the bare necessities to be met, where reservation is a tool used by every political party as a part of its campaigning arsenal.. and the best part is we are more than happy to just turn a deaf ear to this face every time someone joins us in praising our RICH HISTORY.. and yes before someone says “go to **** if you don’t like it here” , why should I ? I am a citizen who wants to be proud of my country while living here

We know our country better, I'm a Jain, I represent the minority section of this country and I'm also a student leader. I have never faced any kind of discrimination anywhere, I understand there are SOME people, but you cannot blindly say that all the people are same, India is moving and we respect the mindset of everyone unless and until it's right. So, I would request you both not to make any sensitive comments, we know the flaws and we are working on it, give a look to your own country, we will take care of India, regardless of everything as ONE.

Jains, Parsis, Jews and Buddhists are ultra minorities in India, yet they never face discrimination about anything, or feel discriminated. Guess which other minority group (which is infact the second largest majority group) feels discriminated? I guess there is no need to mention it openly. Everybody knows which group it is. And Korbin & Rick are democrats & Biden supporters, so they read only the likes of new york times & Washington post, and watch CNN & MSNBC. We know what Big fake news factory these types of media houses are. Both these guys had a problem with CAA, and on video said whatever india is doing is completely wrong. I appreciate and love their point of view on dance culture and movies. But when it comes to politics, they form their ill-informed opinion reading NYT & Washington post. And that is sad.

  • @TheB657

@@shounakchoudhury Most of them do (have ill-informed opinions) . If you travel to U.S you would be shocked to know that they read next to "nothing" when it comes to international news ! That is the main issue. I travelled escorting around 30 - 40 of our Indian students in 2011 where the itinerary was : "Travel of entire East Coast - 2 weeks + NASA -14 day program". There were many Jains and Buddhists among us as well as Smartas and others. Being in - charge I was the one who had to get help get them cross the immigration. I was witness to the immigration desk asking repulsive questions when they read the name of one our students who was "Muslim". I had to speak to get many of them out of the situation..... it took time. Not generalizing, most are friendly and are eager learners but when it comes to international news only the well read and those sitting in Multinational "business" environments, I reiterate "Business" because the employees mostly gulp down anything a "pseudo - Leftist" Indian would throw at them even anti - Govt. narratives. At present, me working in EU, I am experiencing the same nonsense however with a different tune. Since here people mostly respect culture, they are somehow ready to get corrected if they present wrong facts and are ill - informed but not all ! Businessmen are a bit keen because they need to be open minded for transactions and deals to settle amicable hence. Else in the villages and countryside, people have no idea about the world including India as the only source they read from is local newspapers. Sooner or I think already, Indian villages have overtaken the taste for International news and keep being informed of what is transpiring globally. Any Indian sitting in the most so called "rural setting" will engage in a good conversation with you on different countries, which even if they don't know will know from you. We should be proud about it.

That's y Rick and Korbin .. The author of the video put out statement in begining of the " """"We are residents of this country where there is system even in chaos""""" In beginning of video he talks of inequality and all.... Essence of this video is that even in chaos n with varied fault lines... We stay and we move on as democracy... Imagine if America has a small percentage of demographic and diversity that India has... Probably by now America wld hv been divided states of America.... Just see how even small migration issue America is not even able handle it's fault lines

It recognizes the right to live with dignity of all people and called these centers and their practices out; while acknowledging that they cause immense trauma, pain, humiliation, shame, and are insulting to the very essence of personhood. @Krishna Charms I am really sorry but it is not really your fault that you were not taught about inter state migrations of "Vaidigas" (true practitioners of Vedas) owing to different reasons : persecutions by Muslims or intolerant rulers, loss of agriculture, calamities etc. Since B.C.E's "Vaidigas" lived a relatively poorer life than the rest of society because that is how they were supposed to live. The "Bhavad Bhikshandehi" using the quoted with which they used to request alms from every house and eat food from there. A Brahman was supposedly to be a Bhikshuk for the benefit of the entire village. These things do not appear on modern history textbooks. Also this is the main reason why in many South Indian villages, the "pandits" whom you call , are actually mixed blood of inter state migrated people from all over Bharat. They carry DNA from the entire Indian population. Results available. Hence if "pandits in South India don’t even consider North Indian pandits equal to them" then it is the biggest joke in history. Kindly do a favour and correct them. I personally have seen Vaidigas proudly speaking about India in general and not any distinction was made. "Caste People don't even talk to... " - Again I am very sorry to correct you because in our family, considered "the most orthodox" in the village had cooks and helpers from all communities. In Mumbai, where I stayed in a single bedroom hall kitchen, humble accommodation, my elders had helped those whom you call " scavenger " so disrespectfully to great economic heights. Many have even sent their wards abroad for education and many working in Govt. jobs. They have built larger houses than us. This wasn't even the effort of our family alone but "many" of the so called "educated" populace you so accuse of being outright casteists and oppressors. Hence I suggest you educate yourself on the Indian society properly before posting on social media. Am not a defender of evils of any community by the way. Just stating facts from the ground level. My own Grandfather who was economically completely nil, was brought up by Dalits , Christians and others in Kerala. So we know what Indian society means at ground level. It is not so Black and White like you mention and which are typical generalizations adhered to in all Indian films.

I totally agree with you guys. It's not all roses and without any thorns. There is a lot of hate just on the basis of someone's caste, or religion, or who they love (forget gay rights, intercaste marriage will sometimes lead to honour killing), or what they eat (for instance, eating beef or pork is looked down upon, and sometimes people get beaten up for that too). And we've seen a lot of hate crimes on such trivial things. It's heartbreaking. Acknowledging that India has a long way to go before we can say it's a free country where everyone is equal, and there's no discrimination, will be the right thing to do here. Also, all of this depends where you are, and what kind of people you're dealing with.

Not only in the golden temple free food is provided in most of the temples big or small like Shirali Sai Baba , Dharmasthala , kukke Subramanya temple. India is great no doubt but we know it’s not a rosy picture all the way. But we thrive on chaos and like to rise above the nitty gritty of things. The mayhem and weirdness adds to our charm. Not to mention strong middle class , family system and mainly focus on education and discipline

@@manindarratan8094 Technically our country is our parent. However, a country is made of its people. Desh *Acha* aur *Bura* apne culture se nahi balki *apne logo* se hota hai. Northern india mei ek saying hai 'Athithi devo bhava'. Yeh ironic hai ki maine northern parts mei tourists logo ko harass hote huye dekha hai. Aur kashmir, south aur north-east india mei welcome hote huye. *No country is great, every country has its pros and cons.* Par yeh inferiority complex sirf humaare desh mei hai kyonki hume ghanta idea nahi hai apne aur dusro ke *culture* ka.

Once again, a lovely video and I am pretty sure you might get a lot more backlash for a few (honest) things and reactions you mentioned. I have my 2 cents to give in this discussion (it will sound more like a critique but this is just an attempt to shed more light and not to demean any opinions): 1. LGBTQIA+ rights: As many have explained here, the binary preference came from the british raaj (rule). In fact the section number 377 was shared with the great britain constitution which was abolished fairly recently in India. Legally, the rights are secured (including the recent protection for individuals belonging to LGBTQAI+ community from the police proposed in Madras High Court). In the society, there are still challenges and there will be challenges because we are amongst a majority of populaton who either were not exposed or did not grow up in times when things were accepted. Considering that FACT, India has come a long way in instilling the rights of the people at a much faster pace than many other self proclaiming "developed" countires despite having existed/freed for more than a century. India came to this level in the first 75 years since its independance. Hence, Kudos to the country which of course has a long way to go but cherishing the achievements. As an openly gay man living in the US for past 12 years, the issues here are equally prevelant (like you said) if not more and every place on the face of this earth has a long way to go and we willl NEVER get to the absolute acceptance and equality as the diversity of human kind itself won't allow that. 2. Peace: Very similar to my point # 1. OF COURSE there are issues. Religioius biases and caste issues are amongst the other few issues that have pleagued the country for a long time. BUT, getting to where we have as a country with this much diversity is an achievement and that is what this video is trying to covey. I, as an Indian, will choose to celebrate the positive, address the issues and try and work on improving situations rather than making the issues as the only ticker point/label. The SHEER AMOUNT of people, that have existed and followed things that have existed for centuries. The amount of change that has to happen is going to take time and I am pretty sure it will happen as we are on track for it. As always, lovely video and always appreciate your interest in the country and your well thought insights. Good luck for all the amazing content you are going to create. You all are AMAZING! Thank you!!!

They forgot to mention some things- the World's second navy was created by the great Tamil chola king Rajaraja Chola-I in 4th century BC and Chola kingdom was also one of the longest ruled dynasties in the world from 300 BC - 1279 AD.! The world's first tidal dock may have been built at Lothal around 2300 BCE during the Indus Valley civilization near the present day Mongrol harbour on the Gujarat coast.

Next 10 years belong to India, but out of these 10 first 3-4 yrs gonna be very painful. After that India will rule the world for whole century, India is passing through transition phase and great troubles of this century and lot more to come in next few years but this gonna change its courses of future forever towards good. Only purity will survive in whole world and things started from India, so become good and pure now.
