Why is Greece the first to march in the Olympics Parade of Nations?

For a casual viewer of the parade of nations during the recently concluded Tokyo 2020 summer olympics, it might have been a bit confusing to predict the order in which the countries will enter the Olympic Stadium.
Why did the I-starting countries march before those that start with the letter A? Why did the United Arab Emirates come after Afghanistan? And many other inconsistencies with the known alphabetical order.
Such inconsistencies are common in every iteration of the Olympic games, but one constant across them all is that Greece gets to march first.
In this video, we wish to answer why.

and this is the same reason why the Hymn to Liberty,Greece national anthem, along with the Greek flag are raised at the closure ceremony of every olympic game they created something and revived the tradition that spans 4 millennials

I believe that, after the success of the Olympic Game's revival in 1896 in Athens, there was the obvious thought that all next games should be hosted in Greece. This is natural, as the games were hosted in the same place in ancient Greece. There were some events called Olympic Games, prior to 1896, out of Greece, that were not so successful. The co-founder of modern Olympics, Pierre de Coubertin, a frenchman, wanted the host city to be rotating among the participating countries and made sure the next ones were held in France by the way. Having Olympic Games away from Greece was extremely enough, so they made sure to honor the home country of the games by having Greeks parade first, showing Greece in one side of the medals, having a ceremony in Olympia, where the flame starts its journey etc.

I think the only time when Greece was the last country to march in the Athletes parade was in Athens 2004, for obvious reasons.

In the 2004 opening ceremony Greece entered both first and afterwards. The entrance of the greek flag happened first while the athletes entered according to the aplhabetical order

@@tg1095grcorrection. During the athens 2004 olympics, only the greek flag with the greek flag bearer paraded first, then the greek flag bearer paraded last with the rest of the greek athletes
