ADM Briggs Why do you think you’re going to have to talk about Gargoyles,Treasure planet, the prince of Egypt or even Monster v Aliens!

In the original story, Aladdin had a second genie, the less powerful genie of the ring. In the Disney version, the flying carpet replaces that genie. In addition, there was no three wish limit.

By moving the troop every night, and keeping them together, keeping an eye on the youngest (a heart breaking lesson) he kept them safe. In the first encounter with the 3 new humans he recognized Claton’s ill intent, even if he didn’t know what guns could do, or the hunter’s real plans. He didn’t like Tarzan bc he was different, disrupted the troop, couldn’t keep up, and drove a wedge between himself and Kaila. Not allowing himself to greave for the lost baby and having Tarzan “replace” him probably factored into why he couldn’t ever see that Tarzan was one of them.

I’m guessing that from the other comments I’ve seen some of the genie may have had a role and killed many mukhtar leading them to near extinction so it maybe revolves around revenge it can’t always be one sided.

I bet you anything the mukhtar killed Genies because of one bad genie that messed up their entire race. I mean there must be a reason why they train so hard to hunt them

The genie is actually jinni. A jinn a race of invisible spirit beings. The "i" at the end means "my". Jinni is literally "my jinn".

Great video! Just a thought, I know it'll probably never happen. But I wish Disney would have done more with Genie before Robin Williams passed away. I would love to see a Genie (solo) movie 2-D(animated) that explained Genie's upbringing and his relationships with his Masters before Aladdin...it'll never happen because Robin isn't here with us and Disney doesn't focus on hand drawn (2D) animation anymore. Just a thought, I'll always cherish what Robin Williams work with that character.

You saw the episode with Team Go in it right? Who WOULDNT want to get away from that? Kim thinks the twins are bad, Shego had more to deal with . She obviously prefers the finer things, perhaps living with all her bros as superheroes kept her from having nice things or relaxing; none of them seemed the type to clean. So in my mind Shego said I’m taking a me break, from all of you and never looked back. Dr. D is a child more often then not, but again, sooooo much better then her bros and their stupid video chat villains.

I’ve always wondered about other Genies in Aladdin. Genie was the only one shown because Aladdin had to get his happily ever after. In the series they should of shown more Genies besides the female. They could have shown another male.

I watched Aladdin religiously. The high pitched of the voices made my brain go crazy: Something's not right!! XD But man, what a blast from my childhood.

Because Robin Williams was the last of his kind :(

Seriously the Aladdin cartoon got deep! So many one off but still memorable and impactful characters! As this video focuses on, when else in a kids show is the concept of peace, even friendship between long time( even generational) enemies shown to be possible ?! This show, man!!

There was never any official reason why they started but I assume it's because they are the most difficult entity to kill. They are a people focused on the hunt. That's what gives them a purpose.

The Muktar could've honestly been a good mentor to Aladdin if Aladdin never met the Genie. Unlike Jasmine who never worked a day in her life and Jafar who was corrupted with power, Muktar only did what he "does best" as stated in the cartoon. He earns a living by using his skill of tracking magical things and getting paid through bounties. He is not tracking down genies because of gaining their power and neither is he lazy. He is a moral grey character just trying to earn a living like the rest of us. Prior to Aladdin getting the Genie, you never see Aladdin once attempt to get a job, only him stealing.

Along with the other sequel books to Aladdin made for young readers, Genie went to a genie school in genie city with a bunch of other genies to learn how to wish make so.....

All I know is that, in one of the more mythical, non-Disney setting, genies were Djinn that broke so many laws of their kind that they were sentenced to imprisonment and servitude, sometimes temporarily or sometimes forever. Disney did an interesting Spin on what genies were, though. Great video!

Eden was an interesting Genie, sad she only appeared in 3 Episodes in Aladdin.

i actually like the muktar episodes at first i thought he was going to be just a character we see only once but when he came back and i learned a lot and those two episodes were my favorite. the first one we see a creature that can take on a genie, and aladdin showed true loyalty by going up against such a creature to defend his friend. i like the second episode for both the genie and the muktar learned more about one another and were able to become somewhat friends. i really would have loved to see the muktar again or at least learned if he had a name. really good videa watso really good.

The muktar is probably the only episode/bad guy i really remember as a kid probably becuz Genie was so scared of him, even Jafar from the movie didn't frighten Genie as bad as this guy, even so though I was very fascinated by his character

Hi, Isaac. I think at some point you should try to explain the backstory of Mirage from the Aladdin TV series. She's one of the villains on the show. OMG, I just realized you'd have explained two characters named Mirage (the first being Mirage from the Incredibles).

Well a therory is that since the Greek god is in they universe, maybe the gods were afraid something would be more powerful than them and destroy it, they are in the same universe bc look at the Hercules tv show

Can you do a video about Audrey's full story? Because like me, there are others Descendants fans who are curious if Audrey was betrothed to Ben and expected by her family to be queen of Auradon, and her grandmother Queen Leah said "A lifetime of planes Gone!" when King Ben proposed to Mal to be his wife and Queen.

I could also see lots of people getting their wishes then destroying the lamp, killing the genies so no one could un do their wishes.

I never knew about these things that killed genies. I always assumed they were rare.

My question is that did Mukhtars a race of powerful lizard people that can resist magic can be taken down? I bet humans heard of these genie hunting warriors and realized that is all the genies are gone than they couldn’t get any wishes so an all out war broke where the humans were outclassed in strength and durability but had large numbers so it’s pretty clear that the surviving Mukhtar went into hiding, became mercenaries, or simply became slaves due to them having incredible strength

Because genies are problematic. Being able to grant wishes that altered reality were too dangerous. In addition, not every genie were like Genie. The whole hubris wish thing really messes things up. Wishes are not always good.

I have a theory, that when a genie's containment vessel gets destroyed next to or a different object of containment that would be not far from the immediate area that the genie was being transferred, the genie is simply transferred and tethered to that new object, kind of like what happens to Kazaam in "Kazaam"; but in Jafar's case, there was no other containment vessel near enough for the transference to tether himself to, that is the real reason he can be destroyed; It was not just because his lamp was destroyed, also because he had nothing else near him to tether himself to.
