Denmark has never been a net importer of food. Denmark was built on farming and agriculture exports were also the foundation of industrialization. Meaning that the majority of Industries were founded to serve agricultural production or used the byproducts from farming to produce goods.

Uhm, I can't really recognise much of your claims. I'm Danish. "Allied raid destroyed much of the Danish infrastructure", that's completely, utterly, not at all, in anyway, true. You're confusing Denmark with another country? Like seriously. WTF. Allied air attacks on Denmark. I am aware of one, that was ordered by the Danish resistance against the Gestapo HQ. Everything until you flat out making up stuff that never happened was also weird. Like Denmark needing to import food during WW1, despite being a net exporter, well OK, again stuff you completely made up and didn't happen. I commented the same prior to seeing your comment. There's something really, really, strange about this video. First I was not really recognising stuff, then he talked about needing to import food during WW1, and the allies destroying the Danish infrastructure with bombing raid during WW1. These are things that aren't, well, it wasn't quite like that, it's just like he's just randomly making things up, as both claims are the exact opposite of what occured.

Being a Dane I can tell you that this video contains a lot of false or completely misunderstood facts. I do not see any nefarious pattern in the false information being presented here, and believe it is simply extremely poor research combined with a bit of guesswork gone wrong.

the Danish word for tax is "skat". Skat also means wealt and love/dear as in "my love/my dear"

We chose to reduce the CO2 emissions and stopped some of the oil production. That's why we don't have the biggest production right now, but it's just a matter of opening up the oilfields again.

Denmark has been almost self sufficient in oil production for decades, even after the government closed sone of the taps. Im not sure about our current situation. But saying we have no resources, is just plain wrong.

So many inaccurate things in this video, as well, what seems like made up stuff or confusion with another country. Bombing raids on Denmark? Never heard of it, never happened. Import of food? Since when? Denmark has always been a net exporter of food. We are the bread basket of Scandinavia and has always been able to feed our nation a couple of times over.

Infact there was several bombing raids on Denmark ! What did not happen was large scale bombings, instead surgical (or attempts at it) was what happend. Look up the bombing of Shellhuset etc. they were few, but they were taking place !

Some food was rationed. Thats why they had food stamps for butter and other stuff. I think food was rationed because the Germans took a great deal, and send it to Germany. And yes, there was the bombing on Copenhagen, where they mainly hit a French school. My mother, although only a few years old at that time, lived almost next to the building. And tge Danish resistance made a lot if havoc, mainly on train tracks, to derail trains going to Germany, from Denmark and Norway. One of my great grandparent's brother, was in the resistance, in Sønderjylland.

Ever heard about the bomb raid, that missed, and hit Shell huset - a french school in Copenhagen?! Also, they had to abandin the mission, and therefore sropoed their bombs over Jutland. The last unexplored bomb that was found from that raid, was in Esbjerg, maybe 15-20 years ago, in an industry area. Tgere was very recently made a Danish war movie, about the raid. 1 or 2 years ago. And the Danish resistance did a lot of damage, to the infrastructure, mainly train tracks. This was all sponsored by the allies, so indirectly, he was right in the video.

Denmark salary is 3 times bigger than here in Spain (1500 €/month on average). Even though I was an IT Systems & Networks administrator, I've been unemployed 16 years because I lost my job just before the Global Financial Crisis (2008-2015) and then later ageism in enterprises which don't hire people over 40. No welfare because I have savings at the bank and I'm not supposed to qualify. State doesn't care I didn't have any income since 2007. Today news said that 130,000 jobs were created in 2023... but there are still 2.8 million unemployed people here. I've done many training courses, but academies just fetch that money from the EU funds and then enterprises don't accept those certificates at all. Society blocks you, no way to escape.

What foreigners need to know is that Danes pay no income taxes of the first US$ 6,819 they earn a year and then there are all sorts of deductions on top of that, just as a college education is not only free but you are paid around $900 a month to go to college.

What is being "robbed", is given back in the form of a stable ecnonmy, good infrastruckture, education etc. making Denmark among the richest and most competetive economies in the world ! Tax rate is basically not relevant, if you dont pay tax, you will have to pay for essential services privately, and that tend to be more expencive ! So high taxes, if the revenue is used well, is good buisiness, if used badly, its bad buisiness !

Im Danish and what you say is not true. We went into Kosovo in the 90s and kicked some Serbian guerilla ass with our tanks(Look up operation hooligan bashing). We also went into Afghanistan with the US and we also fougth in Iraq. As late as 2018/19 we went into Mali with the French. Denmark fougth in every modern conflict we could.
