Why Is Apple Apologizing for an iPad Pro Ad?
Apple Inc. issued a rare apology for an advertisement touting its latest iPad Pro that upset many creatives and other customers. The company also said it won’t air the ad on television as planned. Dan Ives of Wedbush Securities says the apology doesn't really make sense, but they are under a lot of scrutiny. He's on "Bloomberg Surveillance."

And that AI is not an optional feature. What if i don’t want AI? Hey, you’re going to have this bot listening to everything regardless if it is using any of their services and reporting to the company what it thinks the company can make money on. Prime directive? Do no harm to the company!
Apple needs to apologize for shutting down the right to upgrade or repair.

Microsoft is just as bad. My Windows XP still works perfectly in my studio,but there's no support for it. I can't even read massive amounts of documents created on the XP on Windows 7 or Windows 10 computers. They're all ripping us off.

@@NURREDIN Yes, but Microsoft doesn’t produce hardware. Apple produces hardware that cannot be upgraded or repaired. Undersized the memory? You need to replace the entire machine. Undersized the disk drive? You need to replace the entire machine. So, they have created “configuration anxiety”, and forced people to buy more machine, even if they don’t need it, or to unnecessarily replace a very good machine. That’s what happens when you put an MBA in charge. The only creativity are business decisions, not technical.

@@ventilate4267 to me the hardest part about hardware is that there is a physical cost of the planet to produce it. Having outdated software is just deleting some electronic bits. I also think because of the undersizing anxiety a lot of people are less likely to go ahead and upgrade to a new machine. Make the wrong decision for an upgrade and it could cost you 2K or more. Not a big deal to the highly overpriced and paid Tim Cook. His personal compensation would pay for three to four thousand engineers. But hey the c suite is really worth it

Asus has been in the news lately for their scam service of repairing or replace policy for their devices.
Finance people aren't people you can't exactly expect them to act as such.
What angers me is that music is still playing even though the record player is destroyed

Apple needs to apologize for allowing ANY of their devices to be devoid of a freaking basic calculator app in 2024.

You traditional Wall Streeters just don't get it. The crushing of animated life entities, their faces and eyes being squished and their colored 'blood' oozing out. One would think they don't have kids, and if they did, how can they be so tone deaf to the violent imagery. It boggles my mind how Apple execs would allow this to be produced in the first place.
