Why is Alfa Romeo Giulietta Spider 1961 an American design?
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
While touring Italy this summer with my son, we decided to take a road trip in a typical Italian classic car around Laco di Como.
Driving this 1961 Alfa Romeo was just amazing. The engine of the car is authentic however the gear was changed and made much easier to manoeuvre, also an extra fifth gear was added to the box.
The look of the car although classic is almost timeless.

Nice presentation - always good to see a beautiful italian car driven in Italy (and presented by a smiling Signorina !) so grazie mille e tutti frutti. And a very fair point regarding Max Hoffman as it wouldn't have happened without him I am sure. I have a '59 Giulietta Spider and a delightful little car to drive.
Good

Change the title. It’s not an American anything. Alfa was making spiders long before 1955. So an importer says make a convertible and that makes it an American design? Not.

It was designed by an Italian, but mainly for the American market
Idiotic. It's Pininfarina. I have had these cars for 40 years. Such uninformed stuff cheapens all. Max Hoffman did not design it Italians did
If this were about the Porsche Speedster Hoffman would definitely be involved. I’m not buying this headline for the Alfa.
