    I worked in Seoul in the year 2002 which was almost 20yrs ago...I was so excited as it was my first abroad trip....trust me the life was so so horrible right from food to people.... In fact they are very much workholic....😢 Bosses are normally so rude and violent towards foreign workers..... I had to return within 6 months of my stay.... It made me realise that India is like heaven..... ❤

    I lived there.. so can give you som tips : buy Downey washing liquid and Downey fabric softner( many people confuse b/w washing liquid and softener becoz of languageproblem) Downey is really good.. try it For cold weather use good branded thermal wear(I used to take jockey thermal wear from india only) Korean girls wears thin skin colored winter stoking so they can wear short skirts.. For veg food try vegan word .. these days vegan trend is coming slowly

    I love kpop but i cant live in korea i cannot live without my indian people and my family i will miss each and every thing of our india it will be fun for somedays in korea but living there permanently as days pass i will start to miss my country I love my india💜🇮🇳

    I came from South Korea two days back and experienced similar things. Language is a big problem and yes, racism also exist. The naver app is not always useful since it's in korean. Especially, Seoul is an expensive city to stay as a tourist. I found people mostly having a very cold behavior towards foreigners. In reality it's not like what is shown in kdramas. In conclusion: i prefer India❤.

    @@saptarsi7868 I agree.. The problem is also that Korean government does not makes any efforts in making the country tourist friendly. Literally, every single thing from sign boards to directions and ingredients on products is written in Korean.. Also, if someone is vegetarian like me, be prepared to carry your own food on the trip.. There is absolutely nothing you can eat other than desserts. The good part: it is a beautiful country being technologically very advanced. You can find some of the best skincare and makeup products here.

    I had been to korea once and stayed there for a month, I fell into depression. Its a simple math and I being a very practical guy cannot enjoy living in such countries.

    Red ink thing is same for India as well. Always use Blue or Black for filling any official forms. It's not about any superstitions in India, but red color is generally considered for correction etc. So, we're taught to use black/blue pens for filling any official form. That's not any culture difference.

    it is about superstition in India too, i was always told not to write names (mine or anyone else's) in red ink. And no official document is accepted in any other colour ink except blue/black (it's even written in some forms to use only blue or black pen)

    I have been in Japan as well as Korea, that's the best part they are highly disciplined and they maintain it in public places like not talking on phone and creating trouble for others. That's a good part i would say. They don't crush you even though there is a crowd, in India without touching no one will move. Discipline is completely missing here plus crime.

    @madhugreenleaf11 such people exist in India too LOL . such people who create mess are quite well handled either by their family or police them selves. There's a huge difference. As a person who has lived there n india .. I can say I have never experienced such people even once in public transport tho I've used it every day ( once in a while such people might exist ) but still .. public etiquette exists, which Koreans strictly follow . Your comparison is quiet irrelevant tbh . You can talk on phone if its urgent but very slowly .most Koreans avoid talking on phone tho .

    India is a diverse country moreover the people of India are very kind.I am from Bangladesh . It's very hard to cope with the culture of them (Korea) as they are not the people that they showed in kdrama.they are totally opposite of it .     I'm Indo-Canadian. SK was on my list of countries I wanted to visit as a tourist. The language barrier, I can handle. But in nearly every vlog I've seen about Indians in Korea, they talk about how cold South Koreans are to PoC. Plus I saw videos of non-Asian-looking foreigners being denied entry to places. It is very discouraging.

    You will face less racism in Korea than in Canada. I'm a Korean American in New York. I faced more racism from other minorities than white people. I couldn't care less if you come from a third world country but people from third world country here make racist remarks at me. People are people, you just have to find the right ones no matter where you go. At least unlike here in NYC, they don't push you down train tracks or punch you in the face for being Asian.

    India has very diverse population. And it has world largest democracy. You will find different type of people in one state. And it has also different religious group of people. And has billion of population. its not like you can control such large democratic country by imposing rules of your choice because it may be good for you but not for other many group of people.

    The first act you explained actuality common in my friend zone. We pay for only what we eat and what we order. If someone suddenly want to share food then they pay equally for plate. We just split taxes equally at the end. It is not that much uncommon in India. 😊

    the bill splitting thing is common in europe too, I live in the UK and that's what we do with my friends so I was so surprised the way they split it when I visited India and I had to split evenly when I bought the cheapest cocktail when I went out with a group of friends! I prefer it the way we do it since you don't have to pay for it if someone chooses something really expensive when you didn't, it's fairer

And follow the rules , and if there is no need of the rule and regulations there would be no constitution and parliament.     The funny thing is when us Indians go overseas, we are terrified of breaking any rule and are actually impressed by the quality of the place and the rules in place. However, ghar to bhai apne baap ka maal hai and when it comes to followign the same rules here, we complain. BTW really loved your honest reaction adn glad you didnt exaggerate the things about Korea like a lot of people are doing atm with the kwave and all that.

    What's the dharam of the rule breaks in India? Who are ruling India and what's their dharam? When India was Buddhist, we had law and order, but when Brahminism is prevalent, there is no law and order. China, Korea, Japan are Buddhist countries without caste system/jatiwad, hence they are well mannered.

    It's common sense to not expect people to follow your rules in public places. Unless you're on a train sleeping during night, it doesn't make sense to expect pin drop silence. As long as we're going by common sense tho

    10:30 Even in india when i travel in metro (almost daily) most people are silent and if some one or two people are talking on the phone they they get gazes cuz it really is disturbing. I think its more common to keep silent in metro...atleast in delhi ncr.

    Being quite in metro should also be followed in India. People talking loudly on their phones, playing music or reels aloud , making reels in metro and just disturbing others should be illegal, This isn't your home its a public place. Delhi metro is already facing so much clown behaviour from people.
