2:30 India also mastered Generation 3. The recent IPHWR-700 at Kakrapar Atomic Power Station is Gen3 based on CANDU design just like how CPR-1000 and Hualong One are based on French 900 MWe Class. In ACPR-1000, other than design improvements, they replaced components having foreign IPR with domestic ones for easier exports.

@@AnilGupta-nr5le Others are also doing design improvements on previous baseline designs. Decades pass before an altogether new, untested design is approved. Such an endeavor also requires a reliable, safe supply network. The fact that India is not a member of the NSG makes it difficult to grow the domestic nuclear industry. It is necessary to consider the resources at hand. Another crucial component is national priority. Assuming that India invests in developing new indigenous reactor designs, how many reactors can the government install before the relevant industries and institutions are able to recoup their costs in light of the protest industry that involves foreign interest groups. BARC is able to increase the efficiency and safety of a workable gen2 design by incorporating gen3 features while standardizing the engineering part to reduce production cost. I don't see why this cannot be counted as an achievement.

One of the major reason gor failure of India, is the lack of will to lead. India decided not to be a permanent member of UNSC and supported China to be a permenenet member. This means China can have nuclear weapons while India cannot as per NPT. So, India bever signed NPT, which reduced the access of the Indian government to nucleqr technology.

You don't need to be part of UNSC to be part of NPT. Both works on veto power. UNSC members are war criminals and achieve nothing. To join NPT, India has to give up weapons testing apparently which is not an option.

Maharaja express is very very expensive & Luxury Train. Even its ticket cost in lakhs. This is heritage tourist train for ultra rich customers. Even food is also served in gold plates. The vande Bharat class is nothing against Maharaja express.Your question doesn't make any sense.

I guess he has not researched about it, but few people are against it. Fukushima Nuclear Disaster was caused by an earthquake with a magnitude of more than 9. No country in the world has faced a massive earthquake or this kind of tsunami waves, but we have learned a lesson from that disaster and safety in Nuclear Power Plants.

why do india use various like in metro, rrts, monorail, etc .gauges instead of using a single broad gauge ,it will so much more flexible like those tracks can used for metro as well as good or express

Most important is highly skilled manpower with talent and merrit or valuable human capital for intensive research design and development with patriotic spirit and dedication at reasonable cost with Govt. Support by proper prompt decisions making. Dedicated Engineering colleges affiliated with BARC with only MTech, reasearch and designing with adequate infrastructure.

But I have one doubt #PT, that's the case for boiling water reactors and fast breeder reactors. But pressurized heavy water reactors are completely indegenized. I feel it's just political will and trust behind 700MW design for constructing more plants.

Solar and Wind are very cheap now. India doesn't have Uranium reserves so constructing new nuclear plants has become very tricky as they take too much time & money and delays always cause further cost escalation. Don't know if we can find any Uranium deposits in India in order to be self dependent on nuclear fuel

Thorium Reactor is most important.India has thorium stock of 950000 tons one ton of thorium is 35000 tons of coal equal. China has made a huge success of Thorium reactor leaving behind India, called till date Leading thorium reasearcher since 1950' .India could have taken assistance from Russia for the supply of Plutonium purportedly said to be scarce in India and also research results therefrom.Even Amerika"s space voyage is successfully using Thorium Reactor. USA ' Atomic scientist S Kiriksen has mastery over Thorium Reactor technology .Political will।power is wanting abysmally in India. It is time India i a laggards continuing research since1950, makes a success of Thorium Reactor in view of China's success in recent times.

Niti Aayog report on Nuke energy has asked to limit its use as potential will be just 5% of energy generated. Still mini and micro plants are the future instead of these mega plants.

Authoritarianism was also indira. Her govt was very Authoritative but socialist and people supported her. At least in a democracy, we had the power to throw congress out. In an Authoritarian regime, govt will have to suppress the protests and then that will lead to seperatist movements against the regime just like in pakistan. We are not homogeneous. We are diverse so democracy is needed or else there can be seperatist movements . China didnt have violent neighbours and they r pretty homogeneous and athiest. This worked in their favor. We have many religions and religious people and cultures and langauges. And if govt tries to suppress protests using authoritarianism then it will lead to teror attacks and seperatists
