I still have a 9th gen honda, and thanks to your videos, I am currently upgrading some things on it. Out of curiosity, though, I'm currently having those battery issues. Do you have any insight as to how to prevent that? Love your videos, keep up the great work. Aloha and Mahalo from Hawaii 🤙🏾

I don't agree with few observations but fair assessment overall. However, you missed the most embarrassing debacle for Accord 2023 - the loss of BSI on all trims but Touring due to "supply chain shortages" (i.e., cost-driven short-sighted and reckless decisions of the manufacturer). Now, crafty dealers are asking premiums in the range of $3K to $10K if they are able to order a BSI enabled piece.

Hey everyone has different tastes and opinions. I purchased a new 2023 Accord Sport-L a few months ago and I love it !! I was always a Honda fan , but in my opinion, Honda was starting to make their cars too complicated, and over styled. I loved the new style as soon as I saw it, and thought it looked great. Honda decided to go with a more simple, mature design that can be made to look like an ordinary family sedan, or a sleek , sporty looking one. Mine is pearl white, low slung with the 19 inch wheels with low profile tires. The whole car is blacked out , wheels, trim , and spoiler. It looks crazy nice rolling down the street. I get at least 2-3 complements a week. I park at the market and people ask me what it is, and tell me how cool it looks. I tinted all the windows, shaded the windshield, and it looks mean. Everyone loves my car, all my friends and family, and they all especially love the new interior. I think its the best interior yet , for an Accord. And it has plenty of power, and I have so far averaged around 50 miles a gallon. I get about 550 to 600 miles per tank, and its only 12 gallons !! It also has a ton of new technology built into it. Hey look, I respect your opinions, but your Blog has low subscribers because you are pushing 'Your' opinions too much, and its too negative. Why don't you just give a general POV analysis showing all the positives and negatives ( your opinions) and let your subscribers decide on their own. Let them share thoughts with you without being so polarizing. Once again, their is no such thing as the 'Perfect car'. The 10th generation model that you love so much, did not sell as well as Honda would have liked, so they needed a refresh. So I guess not enough people felt the same way as you did about the 10th gen. I believe that, regardless of the design, sedans are doomed, with the popularity of Trucks and SUVs. And people have to stop whining about losing the V-6, Turbo 2.0, or any other past mechanicals. There are legitimate reasons for these changes, and you need to wake up and learn why. The trend for all cars are going this way. Electrification and gas prices are to blame, and why can't people understand this ? I know my new Accord is not perfect, and not everyone will like it as much as me, but that can be said about any car.... including cars that you think are so great. Food for thought. Thank you.

Kind of how the 2016-2021 civic eventually did. I think it’s an amazing gorgeous car and I get complimented almost daily.

To be fair, I like the interior because of how great the ergonomics are. If modern means to sacrifice ergonomics, such as replacing physical HVAC buttons with a toucbscreen/capacative panel like in the Legacy and refreshed Sonata, then modern does not mean better. As for exterior, it's subjective and I think it depends on the color. On one hand, it looks ugly in white. On the other hand, I think it looks great in dark grey or black or blue. As for innovation, it's subjective. There's nothing wrong with not being innovative if the "innovative" companies like Hyundai and VW are sacrificing basic things like ergonomics and functionality just for the sake of wow factor. Same thoughts with the websites. The aesthetics do not look like it's from the 2020s, but it is a better website than a VW's website, which looks modern but has more instances of lagginess and unintuitivity.

Same thing here. Honda made a giant step backwards. It seems like they wanted to cut costs in production. The style is bland, interior is excessively cheap (too much plastic, the center console wobbles from side to side and the dashboards creaks on any little bump), and it lacks a lot of basic features. I regret trading in my 10th Gen. Mine came with a few noise issues coming from the engine bay and suspension issues.

  • @16190john

    @16190john

Not to be rude but maybe the one you bought just sucks as far as the quality issues you’ve had. Mine does not creak or make any noises. My center consol it’s firm in place and does not wobble side to side. not a cheap feel to me at all. The quality is better than my 2019 Honda Civic and equal to the quality of my 2024 HRV. The hood, the doors, the trunk, all sound like a good ol solid Honda unlike my 2019 civic that sounded like a tin can when i closed the hood. Don’t get me wrong I loved my civic. But I think the new Honda lineup including the new accord will grow on people in time. I get compliments daily. I do not have buyers remorse at all. Best purchase I ever made. I’d rather spend all eternity burning in hell than drive a Toyota🤣 but hey, that’s just me and everyone has different taste. Id rather drive 05 civic than a 2024 Camry. Guess that tells you how i feel about Hondas. I only drive Hondas, period. This accord is the 7th Honda I’ve owned. The years ranged all the way from a 1998 model year accord to a 2018 civic. And this accord is by far the best one I’ve owned overall.

Some points depends on your taste. This is why I totally disagree with you and think this is the best Honda Accord in exterior and interior design, actually one of the the best midsize sedans design on the street! The previous generation has the weirdest ugliest taillights you can see in a car! Tho I agree with you on trims and reliability (but with tech even Toyota is losing it) exterior and interior are personal preference! Good video!

Good explanation. This is the same reason I've never been very fond of Honda/Acura. I mean you look at like how Acura had the ILX that they just discontinued in 2022 that was using the same design from like 2013! Yeah, Hondas and Acuras are just dated. Yes I have to admit at least Acura did at least try to modernize their lineup starting with the RDX in 2019 but it took them too long to get that across their lineup. But still the Hondas and Acura interior and tech are behind the competition. I mean you get into an Acura (a newer one) and it feels nice, but then you sit in most of the other competitiors (like Lexus, Genesis, or even to an extent Infiniti), it just feels bland and the tech feels unintuitive. Yeah, Honda/Acura are definitely not what they used to be. I think they still retain a lot of their powertrain reliability though. Can't wait to see what you get next! Definitely enjoyed your Genesis videos! I'll probably be holding on to my 2015 for a while longer (which is currently at 56,000 miles)

Own a 2013 Honda Accord. I am currently driving a loaner 2023 Sport Honda Accord in red. I feel the same way about the looks. It looks like 2000 era Honda Accord update. Interior is functional and is not hard deal with at all. Not confusing. Roomy on the inside as always. Windshield feels noticeably smaller. I feel like the slant it is on is making it more "bug" worthy lol. But I still feel like I can see out of it. But... the modes on the car and the drive are what surprises me. I drive without feeling like I can't do the same maneuvers my car and the previous generation could do. Econ is quiet and electronically torquey making the mode perfect in neighborhoods, traffic, or parking lots. The Normal mode is quick enough for city or suburb driving but dies in the top end past "normal" cruising speeds. The Sport mode is excellent for the highway and does not feel slow at all. In fact, sport mode without the AC feels like the last generation in certain instances. Mode switching is smooth. In all the modes, I surprised myself several times with how fast I was going because the car is so smooth. But I still have great steering feel when it matters. Honestly, if I was going to get a new car, I don't think I would be disappointed with the 2023. My preference is definitely the last gen. But get a Sport 2023 Accord and update to Pilot Sports or other kind of grippy tire. It should be a blast while sipping gas in most instances.

I just drove a Sport Hybrid last night. I agree with all but #2. I thought the interior didn't seem outdated... infotainment screen was huge. I was, however, disappointed that the 360-degree camera view wasn't an option. Also annoyed that blind spot monitors and review mirror with Homelink were options that drove the price up and not included on the Touring. I'm probably going to just live with the worse mpg and get a year or two old TLX for less money. It looks and feels nicer inside and out.

Let me start by saying I’ve had several HONDA ACCORD’s 95, 08, and this year I got a brand new 23 accord LX so it was the base model and it was a decent car. I really liked it and it was a big step up for me but I definitely felt like I wish I would’ve gotten a higher trim. But overall the car is good then six months after I got it I was involved in an accident and it was totaled so I had the option to get a different car and I went with a HONDA ACCORD again except for this time I got the sport hybrid and I am way happier with this one. The interior is really nice I really like it. I do wish it had leather though. And to be fair the picture that you used of the new Honda accord is not a very flattering picture it does look kind of ugly in that picture you showed.

My favourite is the tenth generation and I own a late model 2.0 Sport. The reason I bought the Honda is because of the way it drives. It’s a car, how it drives is the most important thing to me. Honda spends a lot of money on the engineering of the car and it shows. To remain competitive they need to keep the price down, so Honda does not equip the cars with all the bells and whistles. I get that. If I want it all, I get the Touring, if not, then I have a choice of several cheaper versions at set prices. Let the consumer buy the Honda that fits their budget, but still get the fine Honda engineering, reliability and trade in value. I don’t like the new 2023 styling either, but I liked the 10th Gen model and so I bought it. If you want more bells and whistles on a budget buy a Hyundai and give up the Honda engineering, your choice.

You really are way off base with this review; I'm not surprised I never watch your videos. This 11th generation Honda Accord Touring is the classiest, most sophisticated Accord to date! Evidently a lot of people don't feel as you do; getting your hands on a 2023 Accord Touring is an almost impossible feat; these cars are snatched up as soon as the dealers get them. By some miracle, I was able to secure mine in the gorgeous Canyon River Blue Metallic color; it is a real beauty; one of the nicest cars I have ever owned. I get lots of compliments on my car everywhere I go. I've owned mine since March, and I have to say I am totally and completely in love with this vehicle. (My other car is a Lexus ES, and I feel that this Accord Touring is on par with both the beauty and the performance of that car - but with much better gas mileage. So, buddy, keep your 2013 and criticize the 2023 all you want; I don't think too many aficionados of the 11th generation really give a damn about your personal opinion.

A vehicle as large as the Accord must have basic rear vents and charging points on all trims. I blame the America leadership as they are losing market share to Genesis, KIA, and Hyundai. It is clear Honda does not have the resources to develop their own EV architecture and are showing holes in their product line. Every new vehicle is generally a bland appliance.

He is telling the truth. With limited choices to get the car you really want you have to get the Touring trim. The engine in the Accord use to be bullet proof, now you see all these low mileage cars with blown head gaskets and turbos. The front end looks like an old Ford Torus. I see they took a play out of the GM had book. Let's paint it orange or gray and call it a sports car.

Funny enough, it is the best accord of all times, by very far. I would agree about being ugly. The powertrain is beyond incredible. The car is solidly made.

Lackluster front end generic design. No 2.0 liter variant, no Sirius radio option, no backseat vents on lower models, such a soulless car compared to the tenth generation. Honda had little money left over for the development of this car since they are woefully behind the industry in EV development and spending billions in this area. Same story with Acura where their new 2024 electric ZDX is just a rebadged Cadillac with little funds leftover for their other models.

It doesn't take much to get on camera and start blasting a product that might be at the top of domes list. It takes more to understand where it fits in the market and compare it to the competition. Did you try to understand why Honda built this car the way the did, at the price point they did, and with the appearance they did? You know, that might make a more respectable video.
