Confession time! I've been keeping a secret - 6 months ago I bought a VW Lupo GTI - and in this video I would like to share with you why I've bought it, what my initial impressions are, and what the costs of ownership have been in this first 6 months. If you have a way of someone you know based in the EU taking delivery and then onward shipping to you that may be the only way to get them

@@CraigOnCars Much better, although the ambient noise level will always be much higher in the Lupo than it would be in the Lexus. Time for another LS 600hL video now may I suggest.
I'm on my 7th lupo I had them when New in late 90s worked my way upto GTi only kept for 11months got into to Audi s instead always wanted another spotted one in2019 drove down to lake district to see I bought it as soon as test drove brought it up road and left my fiesta there had 5years of fun with it also swapped my fiesta for a TDI lupo and I've bought my original GTi back saved from scrappers slowly rebuilding had a few hiccups but now use it as much as possible will watch with interest

i don’t suppose you was in porthmadog this week? i saw a lupo same style as this today and yesterday
I have one since 2008,i love It,i had the same problem as you hâd but i find uot that vw Germany hâd the last 2 Pieces and i bought It imediatly 5 years ago for 180 euro. I love this car i think i Will never sell It. Every time i drive my Lupo GTI a lot of people turn the head or take picture o they ask me questions about the car.

That was good luck! Yes i agree lots of people enjoy seeing the Lupo when im out and about in it at shows. Have you had any difficulty in sourcing any other parts? Next big job for me will be tyres, and i dont think the 205/45/15 size is easy to get anymore

@@CraigOnCars I had problems to find the rear stop light on the spoiler that its a pain in the a.. to change without breaking It . For the tyre i always buy them on ebay beacause i never find a tyre shop that have this size. Only toyo make this tyre as you know, before was t1r and now tr1 a bit better than before. I dayli my car so every time there Is something to change 😃
