Do you find Macs as user friendly as Windows? I've tried using macOS but simple things like sizing, positioning and switching apps is a pain in the ass.

I generally don’t like macOS very much at all. Screen recording with audio is effectively impossible, window snapping is not existent, file organization is horrible. I really enjoy the trackpad though, so switching windows with the trackpad is great, all in all it’s ok, I can get by, but find myself missing windows daily. But I can’t be blue screening as often as I was, just takes too much time

@@techno_eclipse Stick with Apple long enough and you will forget the things you miss from Windows (or Android). When that happens it stops feeling like a compromise and you will truly be happy lol. It is completely worth it for the flawless operation and long term reliability/durability. My mid 2014 MacBook Pro works flawlessly literally 10 years later (besides battery life). My parents also both use their MacBook Airs from 2015 with no issues for their light computing. Before this we were each buying new Windows laptops every 2 years.

The person saying that he had 15 to 20 crashes in one week in Mac OS is lying. I’ve been using macOS for six or seven years now and it has crashed maybe 3 times. And these crashes were so brief and ineffectual that I barely remember them. Before, I was a window user most of my adult life and I won’t ever go back to Windows. Mac OS is not perfect, being a human tool it will never be, but it is the closest to productive nirvana available today. Windows is still too painful for pros, too bloated and in most use cases burdensome. The explanation in this video is spot on. Windows has to work with too many non-Microsoft components. Mac OS doesn’t have to, and hardware makers and developers don’t have to deal with as many Mac configurations as with PCs in the market. Steve Jobs was well aware of this key advantage. In-house Hardware and software integration. Apple invented what we call a tech “eco system” and is always improving on it. MS has lost its way and it’s trying to come back with a massive investment in AI.

I had graphic design class both on OSX and Windows. back in the tiger & leopard / windows XP was hot.... it was years ago. CS2 days. the entire expeirence on a mac is alot easier to make production. it's a nice workflow inside of mac. Windows has it's place but after experiencing a mac it's difficult to go back....

I know this is a little OCD, but OMG! I miss the command button on PC keyboards. I was addicted to the position of this key, I could do shortcuts in my sleep. Move to MAC.. yuck. After all this time, I’m still wrestling with muscle memory on a Mac keyboard.

Having crashes every hour means something is wrong with the hardware or software on your windows machine. That's it.

Interestingly, video editing program instability and overall crappiness on the Windows platform is a common thing people complain about. I don't use any video editing programs and never experience the type of program crashes you talked about on either Windows or Mac (when I was in that ecosystem). It must be a video editing thing because software just crashing multiple times during use is something I wouldn't put up with. Program crashes in general is something that's pretty rare on my Windows machine. Granted, I did build my own and it's not a prebuilt or by someone else.

I don’t think so. I got the deal on a prebuilt computer, the only thing I have changed is adding storage and swapping gpu. I did switch GPU companies, but I used some popular tool to remove all old drivers from amd and fresh install nvidia ones. Then after that didn’t work, I reinstalled windows, and still had the same problems, unfortunately I wish it was my fault. Maybe there is something I did, that I can chase down this winter while I’m inside a little more.

@@techno_eclipse maybe a GPU issue? did you edit with the GPU it came with? if your video editing software is using GPU assets to process your work, and there was something wrong with either hardware or software/driver for the GPU that could cause a program crash because the program isn't getting the response it was expecting.

Hey man, I'm sorry you had to go through all that with windows. I know exactly how frustrating it feels! I have had the same issue with macOS. I have been using windows for almost 22 years. In these years, I probably had 15-20 crashes altogether. A couple of them were my fault. I use my pc for coding and gaming. I occasionally dabble in photo and video editing. I borrowed my friend's mac for a week to dip my toes into macOS. I had 15-20 crashes in that week and I decided that I'm not giving macOS a chance for a long time.

@@meelonhusk I consider BSOD a crash. I don't remember getting a bsod in last five years. Prior to that, I got some when I was overclocking an old rig. other than that, counting the random crash after every year or two would add up to 20.

If you are having crashes with modern windows something is very wrong with your hardware.. period.. windows is very stable now.. you are not that techie if you don't understand that.. most likely a problem with a memory stick or you don't have a power supply that's powerful enough.. how the hell you are having crashes even on the Mac is mind boggling..

When you run a business, computers are tools. You would never tell a craftsman to keep using his dewalt drill if it stops spinning every 5 minutes. I spent 5 years using windows, and building around 50 computers in that time, I can fix the problem, but I run a business and would rather edit a video than swap power supplies, ram sticks, etc

I am having the same issue with Cubase. Every cumulative update which does literally no changes to the system itself makes my software work way more unstable. Reinstalls or refreshes are not helpful… windows pcs are a pain in the back for us and we don’t want to tinker this crap with drivers , components and other stuff… macs are just simply way better for a big number of pros

Bro chill out, pretty aggressive comment and the guy is just giving his own opinion. I just bought my Mac mini yesterday (10+ years on pc)c I had like a $2k plus pc tower that I built and FOR SURE there were plenty of crashes, bugs, skips, etc. He’s not wrong about the optimized hardware thing, that’s present in the phones as well and is the reason android apps are usually older versions. There’s just thousands of different hardware specs so programmers have to decide how to tune their app to work with everyone’s stuff. But yeah from a huge android fan, to someone who uses Apple phones, and now a mix of windows and Apple computers I can say that stability is for sure better in Apple devices. And chill out and enjoy the video.
