I went into a Chanel store for the very first time yesterday, and I had the worst experience I’ve ever had in a designer store… It was super weird because the store is in the middle of a shopping street and there were lines outside all other luxry stores, except the Chanel store, but when I went in I totally understood why. There were so many employees just standing around, looking at me with an annoyed face when I entered the store, but I just ignored it and said hi. Literally only one of them acknowledged me and said hi back, and even that one employee looked really bothered when I asked her any questions. I asked for two bags, she put them in front of me and started scrolling on her phone, literally ignoring my questions. I don’t expect to be treated like royalty, but I expect basic manners and respect because I treated them with respect as well. When you’re buying something in this price range, you expect not just the quality of the product, but also the quality of customer service to be exceptional, but I was disappointed in both. The two bags I looked at both looked defective, one was super asymmetrical, the other one already had popped and frayed stitches, so I obviously didn’t buy anything. I went into Dior afterwards and my mind was blown by the difference, the lady helping me there was amazing, she told me so much about the fashion house, asked about my interests and preferences, and gave me so many tips on how I could use the different accessories I was looking at, that was truly a luxury experience.

I just want to say how refreshing it is to hear a customer reflect on what the SA must be going through. I worked in retail & that is a very, very rare sentiment. Great video & I totally agree!!

I felt the same. Went to the boutique when I was on vacation and saw two SLGs I wanted. The sales associate could only sell me one. I am not close to a Chanel store so I wanted to treat myself. I was pretty disappointed. Then with LV, I wanted to be on the waitlist for an item that was coming out with the new releases, they said I couldn’t because i hadn’t bought anything within the last year. I have a pretty good sales history with Lv but nothing in the past year really caught my attention. So that was disappointing as well. These types of regulations, although I understand, but they are hurting the sales they could have from me because it leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

I agree with you that enough is enough! You’ve got a nice collection. The gold mini is so cute! I’d be interested along with the black and white tweed clutch! ❤

I personally love chatty videos just because I appreciate all the details I can get! & when it comes to Chanel I really like their designs but the price increases and the things I’ve heard about quality has made me think that when I eventually do have the money to purchase a luxury bag it probably won’t be with them.

I’m so glad someone finally said it!! Hermes and chanel aesthetic is completely different and I don’t think it’s fair to compare them. People always say with chanel prices I miswell buy an Hermes. Okay…. But that makes no sense if you don’t prefer the opposite brand.

Yes, Chanel and Hermes follow the scarcity principle which makes their bags increase in value. On the other hand, we can make the scarcity principle work for us. I have sold my Chanels and am now down to just 1 black classic flap. For me this piece takes on more value because I have only one left. I appreciate it more, use it more and am motivated to make the most of what I have left.

You’re right. Out of the Chanel bags you currently have, five are the same style with the same closure, two are still flap bags, only the tote is different… but the interwoven chain still makes it look the same. In 2017 I decided that I’d treat myself to a black & gold small classic flap for a special birthday in a few years. The bag was $6,060 Australian $$. Well my birthday was mid pandemic, shops all closed in Australia and the price was now $9,820 - over a thousand dollars per year increase. I decided it wasn’t worth it, to me, for a bag. In 5 years it more than doubled to what is now $13,600 AUD (incl. tax). I’m of an age where I remember the classic flap being a posh Granny bag and I’m still bewildered by its popularity amongst a younger crowd and how on earth they afford it.

Yes absolutely - the signature Chanel traits (quilting, turnlock, chain) are all part of what drew me to the aesthetics of the brand in the first place, but after a while, it feels a bit repetitive. I laughed when you said “posh granny bag” because sometimes I’m all dressed and ready to go and then I grab one of my Classic flaps and look in the mirror and shake my head. There are times when the bag actually makes me feel granny-like, so I’ll swap the bag for another brand. Of course there are also times when I feel great with my Chanel bag, but I get the “posh granny” comment and had to laugh. 😂

Honestly out of all luxury brands, the whole chanel aesthetics /chanel women's coats/bags have the most rich grandma or rich CEO wife vibe! It could be the social media and going for young popstars with young fans as brand spokespersons to make these classic styles appealing in younger people again.

Love this chatty video. I only bought 4 Chanel bags total, and let 2 of them go last year for the similar reasons. I love my vintage small cf that I bought from a private reseller. Still keep my black WOC. I don’t see myself buying anymore Chanel. 2 is plenty for me since I only let myself keeping 10 bags total in my collection. ☺️

After years of considering getting a Chanel bag, I was finally able to justify the price and purchased my first one yesterday. Before choosing which bag I should purchase, I watched so many of your videos and looked at your Chanel collection. From your videos, I knew I want to buy pre-loved, and I knew that I should get a piece that fits me, rather than a something that everyone has. The classic flap is beautiful, but the price and quality nowadays don’t really justify it for me. On top of that, I see it everywhere now. It’s the Chanel bag. I don’t know, I want something more personal to my style so I decided to purchase the Luxe Line with silver hardware and the vintage double flap. I love them because it fits my grunge/tomboy style. And after watching this video, I think those two bags are enough. I’ve satisfied my hobby and I’m at peace. Thank you! Looking forward to more chatty videos!

I totally agree. The only Chanel bag I’ve bought new is the mini handle in black caviar. I just sold my double flap jumbo because I already have three other black classic Chanel bags.

Love a chatty video! I love multiples of things, but it can become same-same-y after a while. I LOVE your vintage bag the absolute most out of your collection. I had a seasonal mini but quickly sold it, it was too small for me (I think the version I had was smaller than the regular mini size). I have a few SLGs, but really only end up using one or two. I would like to have one Chanel bag in my collection at some point.

you are correct. I just noticed that all my chanel bags in my collection really look so similar just slightly different in size, color and slightly variation of the original design. I live close to a boutique too and have walked by several times. Tempted to go in but there's nothing in my mind that I'm looking for specifically not to mention the limited stocks. So there's no point walking in and just look for something to buy especially with the crazy price tags now even with seasonal pieces. I love how practical and satisfied you are with things you own. I'm working towards this direction too hopefully. But it's so difficult to let things go.....

Fun video! I agree with your point about stopping the constant increase of consumption of luxury goods. I think a collection of 8 Chanel handbags is plenty. I also agree that the very style and design of Chanel and Hermes is different; like comparing apples to oranges.

I am at my bag peace in 2021. Started collecting Chanel handbags at age 24 (I’m 47 now). Glad I bought my CF when prices where more affordable (3 in total) & some tote bags (including the discontinued PST). Took a 12 years break, in 2021, I added 1 Coco top handle, 1 square, 1 rectangle & 1 top handle minis. I rotate & use all my Chanel bags + take good care of them. I haven’t bought any more handbags since (any brands) & don’t intended to in the foreseeable future.

I "only" have 2 Chanel bags, but I still cant help loving Chanel. Would love a down size video.

it's really easy to get caught up in buying more and then you realised everything looks the same. I also need to be more careful of my purchase. we need to appreciate more of what we have now rather than look at new things. sometimes we need a reality check and just stop for a while

I would love to see the video you are referring to about which ones you would get rid of. Your vintage bag with the silver hardware is my absolute favorite! I have three Chanel bags, and I probably won't ever get another. The prices are just so silly. I love handbags, and I can find much better deals elsewhere with other brands-new or pre-loved.

I have a few handbags and slgs that were purchased between 2008-2015. I bought a few slgs over the past few months. I was able to get a Red Classic card holder, a Red O Key holder, and a Boy card holder in Neon Pink Parent leather. Most of my collection is Black, so now I have added some pops of color. I am satisfied with my collection. 😉

I completely agree with on you on Chanel boutique/store and their strict policy being a turnoff. My last boutique purchase was back in 2010 for my 10C bleu roi jumbo. Since then the price of jumbo has gone up by over 300%. I, however, have added a dozen Chanel bags to my collection since the bleu roi jumbo, all from the resale market like FP. I got very lucky with some of the HTF pieces I found over the years. Although I don't shop at the Chanel stores anymore, I still love Chanel, and I love the pieces I own. I would definitely buy another Chanel if I find one that makes my heart sing. Chanel does make a lot of beautiful greys, blues, and reds if you ever venture out of your comfort zone, and maybe then you wouldn't feel bored about your collection 😉 You do have a beautiful collection btw, enjoy!

I have 8 Chanel with only one Sq mini and one medium classic flap. The others are diff colours/shapes/textures etc. I love them all and will absolutely buy more.

Only own Chanel riding boots and sunglasses. Was thinking of buying a trendy CC WOC, but I can't seem to justify thousands of dollars for something with such limited space, especially when I keep hearing about quality issues. There is a Chanel boutique 2 blocks from my home so it's tempting, but I still have the willpower to keep passing it by :)

As always, love this! I have never been mistreated at a Chanel shop yet. However, I am in my 50s and have MS and walk with a walker. I can’t drive anymore, so my husband is always with me. Obviously, the walker ages me, imo, so I think that maybe THEY think that I’m some old lady with old $! 😂😂 Seriously, I have been lucky. However, I live in Canada, and my previous price ceiling for a handbag was $6000CAD. One can’t buy much (ie. handbags), here at Chanel for that these days. Also, if the quality is down, forget it! I, as you know, love your collection! My smaller collection gives me a lot of joy, so I might be getting to ‘purse peace’…at least, when it comes to Chanel…whether I like it or not! Last bag I bought from Chanel is the Chanel mini coco handle. And genuinely don't feel like I need anymore coz mine are all similar to a degree. I'm quite content with my collection..and browse the new seasons online just for fun. 😅

I love your nail polish! I don’t have the money to buy luxury designer bags, but I have been trying to buy a flap card holder and/or mini o-case for a while and it’s basically unpossible. I live in the Netherlands and there is only one store in Amsterdam and when I email them with reference numbers of things I like they are always like “we didn’t order that” or “we can’t give you stock information”. Same goes for their store in Antwerp (which is actually closer to me than the Amsterdam store). The Amsterdam store has a very bad reputation so I’m also scared to go in there 😅. I visited, called and emailed the Antwerp store a few times and they also seemed a bit unwilling to help me. I tried Paris too and they had 1 black flap card holder (that’s the one color I’m not interested in) and in another store they had a dark pink mini o-case but the quality was just so poor 😭. It felt like plastic. I spent a lot of time going into 3 stores and in the end I was disappointed and thought I could have spent my time and energy in a better way. Overall I just don’t like the game of hunting down an item which is nearly impossible to get as a first time buyer and the way a lot of SAs treat you (they were nice in Paris though).

I bought my first Chanel bag 2 years ago, pre-loved on an amazing deal I have 3 Chanel bags and I think that is enough I bought my dream classic flap from the same reseller you bought your jumbo bag and I'm obsessed with it! It's a vintage medium classic flap from the 90's so the quality is SO much better than the new one and it has the 24K gold hardware and it cost me HALF of the price of new one from the boutique so I refuse to give my hard earned money for over priced low quality products

I would love to see the video about which you would let go and adding rationales would be so valuable! I enjoy watching your videos and hearing your thoughts on the bags.

Another great video! I enjoy my Chanel pieces, but I am getting the itch to downsize for some reason. My frustration is with the fact that when I decide on a piece I want to purchase it’s rarely available. I have a fabulous SA, but the boutiques don’t have availability. Such a big turn off. As such, most of my Chanel pieces are pre-loved. I’d love to see a video about which pieces you would consider letting go if you were to downsize. Thank you, ~Christina 🤗

3 Chanel bags are plenty. Other than, I have this, bought this at whatever price, etc. while that feels good, like you scored a deal, it’s a lot of bags to manage and decisions fatigue. Down sizing is so liberating!

Yeah I also have similar thoughts that I don't think I'll shop at Chanel in future. The current price is outrageous for the quality even compared to other luxury bag brands. Yes, the bags are classic bags and great for a special occasion and collector item to keep but not something you are going to use a lot /everyday. Also I never found it when looking at bag reviews but I find the chains too heavy for regular use.

I have the black mini rect and the same Deauville as you do, and love both of them. I do agree that the designs are all similar so I don't feel a need to own a lot of Chanel bags. However I do have the strong urge to buy a small Chanel black 19. What do you think of that bag?

So glad you’re enjoying yours! I’m probably not the best person to ask about the Chanel 19 because I’ve never been a fan of the style. I do know others who love the bag. It’s a bit more embellished with the multi color chain and larger interwoven CC detail on the front, and larger quilting design. The chains are a bit heavy for my liking and the bag itself is quite smooshy, so I don’t love the balance overall BUT the whole point is to get what YOU want! If you’re unsure, just take your time. 😉

I own 6 classic flaps in lovely colors and I think that is enough. No more for me although they always come up with beautiful colors especially the pink shades

It has been sad to watch the downgrade. I agree 100% with you. I have my classics and that's it. I was dreaming about a classic model in burgundy but every time I go to a store, I just see bad quality with seasonal colors. Sad sad. Best wishes to you. Thank you for the postings and information.

I have a love hate relationship with Chanel, I love the brand and its history but their customer service and nonstop price increases are just ridiculous. I once owned a patent goatskin WOC but let it go because I never really reached for it. The classic flap has always been on my wishlist but I am not willing to spend that much money on a bag that has quality issues. I loved this video. I only have a few pieces from Chanel. I can no longer afford the brand. The Coco handle in small, card case, brooch, and a scarf. That's it, and that's all!

I only own 1 medium boy, and I have been wanting one or two SLGs ever since. However, since I bought the medium boy (1.5 year) ago, Chanel never had ANYTHING inside the store!! Like I didn't want to be rude asking the SA... but in my head, I always wonder... what other leather goods are you selling?? Also, knowing the quality is decreasing and the price increasing, I just don't care for it as much as before. If I happened to see a good piece and a reasonable price Chanel bag/SLG from a consignment store, I might just get it from there. But I am not in a rush or anything because I do own a few luxury bags and SLGs which I am currently enjoying :)

My SA told me that they don’t make commission on leather goods anymore. So I wouldn’t worry about her losing any commission on your slg purchase. Maybe she is frustrated with her time being wasted texting back and forth and shipping and then dealing with returning while never making any commission for it. The new quota policy on leather goods doesn’t affect them, it only affects us. That’s why I think it’s best to go into your boutique in person and examine the merchandise yourself before you pay and buy. Don’t rely on SA’s picture/judgement, because ultimately you are the one buying it and need to be happy with it! These are presents that made you unhappy enough to make a video about it. Since you are one of the lucky people who lives near a boutique, then it’s up to you to go in person, and take accountability, you have no one else to blame.

Chatty knows chatty so I’m here for it! Secondly, I would love to see the vid if you so decide. To your point, I have a few Chanel pieces, all pre-loved and I’ll stick to that route. These changes to buying in-boutique seem like lots of work and frustration. Why pay for that? Plus, the style seems very much the same. I thought it was just me.

I still have a love for the makeup. Something about it calls to me. Mainly the lipsticks. I was never really into the bags. The classic flap was never my style. I thought about the Chanel 19, but it doesn’t quite look right on me. The only thing I could think about buying would be a card holder but I have a hard price limit for card holders that Chanel crossed a long time ago. The Beverly Hills Boutique had a pretty big line today when I stopped by to look at their makeup. Also your Chanel collection is how my Fendi collection will probably look like eventually. Different sizes and colors of the same bag and then I’ll probably be done.

@@hellocatwalkcity also your point about you how you can't get the chanel aesthetic anywhere but chanel is probably what's keeping them in business. they're very distinctive styles of bags/clothing. which sucks for those who love the brand because of the price/quality issues some experience.

I only have one Chanel SLG, a Boy flap card holder in raspberry that I got preloved from Fashionphile. I would love to have the experience of buying in the boutique. Unfortunately I have recently decided that I don’t want to spend more than a certain amount for a handbag. That ceiling means almost all Chanel is out and many bags from the rest. There’s still a lot I can buy but maybe I just don’t want to. I technically can afford to spend 10k or more but just because I can doesn’t mean that I should. My local Chanel boutiques hasn’t had any SLGs or at least any available to me, who has never purchased anything in either boutique. I’ve gone in and they had a couple of bags but I don’t want to spend 10k on my first purchase ever. Maybe if I buy that bag, it will open the door to buying SLGs. I don’t want to go down that route. The two boutiques in my city (San Diego) are very small, within department stores in the same mall, that are right next to each other. Neither has very much stock yet remain in business. That tells me that they are selling but they already have their clients. They’re not interested in me. I’m not saying they’re rude. Every SA I’ve talked to has been nice. It’s just that they have nothing to sell to me. I’ll even extend that to Hermès. Probably the only thing I can buy in their store is perfume and some cosmetics, both of which I can buy outside of the boutique. I can but twillys too but I already have one, which I use in one of my Speedys. I’m not interested in home goods at this time. I don’t even want a quota bag. Maybe an Evelyne or a a Picotin. But you can’t just go in and buy it. And online? Nope. That said, I do have an appreciation for Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Prada, Versace, YSL, and the newly opened Dior boutique. They actually have things in stock that I could buy if I wanted to. And that price ceiling? It’s $4000 not including tax. But I will spend more if I feel compelled to.

I have 9 Chanel bags and I don’t know how many slg. … I can understand your rationale. I’m over the same style over and over again esp at their prices. If they kept the mini/small size seasonal bags at reasonable prices $3-4k ranges then maybe. I can’t stomach spending $5-6k with taxes for seasonal bags anymore. It’s ridiculous

I only own the chanel mini coco crush ring in beige gold and it is one of my favorite rings. I get so much use out of my jewelry compared to handbags. I used to own a chanel slg. I was so excited about having my first Chanel piece, but I was honestly pretty disappointed with the leather. I loved the quilted design, but the leather didn't feel luxurious to me. It felt like plastic if that makes any since. I honestly have really been enjoying slgs from dressupyourpurse. I just love the feel of the leather, especially the ones that were inspired by Hermes' Togo leather. At this point I don't know if I'll ever own a chanel handbag. It just doesn't fit my lifestyle, and more than likely wouldn't get much wear. I am really satisfied with my ring. I get the beautiful quilted design with gold that won't tarnish. I will say that if I were to ever add a chanel handbag I would go for vintage Chanel first. I like the designs more and the quality is better.

No lines at my local Chanel either! Neither at LV. Shocking. My opinion, people are moving on to other things now, no idea what, but they are done with them LV and Chanel and the BS, rules, lack of stock, bad quality, and the price increases!

I started my luxury collection in 2018. I mostly own Louis Vuitton bags and slgs. I only have 1 Chanel bag (mini rectangular in black lambskin and gold hardware that I bought in 2019 from the boutique first time ever), 1 Chanel slg (flat card holder that I bought in 2020 from the boutique), and 1 Chanel vanity case (vintage black patent that I bought preloved in 2021 off a FB group). I used to own a Chanel square woc in red (bought in 2020 in the boutique) but I sold it in the beginning of this year since I have not used it in the 2 years I had it. That's all I ever purchased from Chanel. I can't really afford to buy Chanel since its more expensive than LV. The only 2 bags from Chanel that are on my wishlist is a black medium classic flap in caviar leather and gold hardware and the trendy cc small in chevron black lambskin with gold hardware. I also would like a classic flap cardholder in black caviar and gold hardware. My SA actually texted me yesterday telling me she finally got the card holder I wanted since 2021 in store and a medium classic flap in lambskin if I was still interested. I will be going to the Chanel boutique tomorrow with my bestie to see if I really want a classic flap and if it's worth it and I also wanted to try it on and to see what fits. I'm debating if I should take it off my wishlist and just purchase my dream Chanel bag instead (trendy cc small) since I fell in love with it the first time I ever went into a Chanel boutique back in 2018. Regardless I will be purchasing the classic card holder tomorrow. Even tho Chanel has crazy price increases and it's getting so expensive now, I still would shop at Chanel since I have all the LV bags and slgs I wanted. But I only plan on buying 2 Chanel bags and that's it. So I would have a total of 3 Chanel bags in my collection. I can see adding a 4th bag but that would be my max. Probably a Chanel 19 small in black lambskin and gold hardware. Also, I have no problem with the limits Chanel is doing now. I think they are trying to stop resellers from buying and reselling? Plus I don't have a lot of money to buy Chanel often anyways so it doesn't apply to me.

I did not buy the classic flap that day but I did get to try it on to see if I truly still want it and will spend the money and sadly for my wallet, I still love it. Lol. I got to try on the trendy cc small again and Chanel 19 that day and got to put my slgs in it to test it out how much it fits. And I love both bags as well. So I'm pretty confident that I still want a medium classic flap, trendy cc small, and Chanel 19 small in my collection eventually. It's just a matter of when. I did buy the classic flap card holder my SA held for me. It was $550 and worth it. I only have 2 slgs from Chanel now and still 1 bag from Chanel. I'm not in a rush to buy Chanel but I plan on getting a bag this year. And that will be my only bag I get this year since Chanel prices are so expensive and probably will have a price increase too. I'm pretty much done with LV since I have 15 LV bags and they are mainly canvas. I should add leather bags into collection. I hope you get your classic flap someday. It is gorgeous. Lambskin was so beautiful but I knew I didn't want to have 4 lambskin Chanel bags. I should have at least 1 caviar bag.

I would like a black caviar leather jumbo with silver hardware, another medium CF with gold hardware in lambskin leather, and a mini rectangular of a pretty colour. I love so many Chanel handbags, but, I refuse to pay the prices! Lol. The Chanel handbags that I own are a burgundy CF with SHW, and a green top handle with antique gold hardware. My WOC is black caviar leather with GHW. I NEED more neutral colours! 😉 Your new CF card holder sounds lovely! All of the bags that you listed are gorgeous! So much money for a classic flap and I won't be using it every day compared to other bags. I still plan on getting a Trendy CC. No Chanel 19 anymore. I live within walking distance to those same Chanel boutiques and have never seen a line. However, I’ve been mostly north of NYC and have not gone into the boutiques since the pandemic started. Is the line a pandemic phenomenon?

There’s usually no line Mon-Thurs but Fri-Sun, there’s people standing outside typically. Especially right after a new collection launches, it has been that way.

Very interesting video. I own 7 and I’m not planning to give my hard earned money to Chanel. I’m very content with my small collection. To me is a hassle to buy anything from chanel, very stressful and no matter how much you buy from them, they never have what you want in stock and to top it off quality isn’t there.

I don’t own anything Chanel, but I’ve been thinking of adding a bag to my collection. But it would probably just be one because of the reason you said, they all kind of look the same. And it would honestly be one of their seasonal pieces because I like how “different” they are. The classic flap really isn’t for me. I feel the same about YSL. I bought one piece and I feel like that’s all I need because they all look the same to me. Also, the prices of Chanel are kind of reaching to the point where I can’t justify it. Like you said it’s all subjective, everyone feels differently. Maybe if I had unlimited money supply I wouldn’t feel this way 😂

My chanel bags are just home decor on shelfs or in box. I've been working from home for 2 years so I haven't even had chances to use them. I have a beige square mini, a coral pearl crush square and a medium caviar Black classic flap. I like having them but don't need them at all. I want to sell them but I also don't want to sell them for less than retail because they are brand new in the box and coated me so much time and effort to hunt them down. So yeah. I do think it's good to own 2 bags in different shape/style or size. But not necessary at all to have more than 2. So I totally agree with you that luxury is luxury. Not neccesity. I remember commenting in your video that chanel is still full of queues here. I'm in Sydney Australia. That is mostly to do with Australia doesn't get allocated any stock at all. Nobody is ever able to get anything. Online purchase is not available. We also can't pre order through sales associate or anyone. Everyone just have to keep checking going back or line up before the store open on release date to get anything. Even if we express to sales associate we want something for sure please notify me if it becomes available they still wouldn't notify you. 🤣🤣 It's so impossibly rare like dinosaur fossil hunting here. So yeah they are still as busy as ever the queue is not just weekends but weekdays too.

Really is just a home décor now. Reason why I haven't sold them on is because I don't want to make a loss. The shopping experience is so crappy. There's really no point to make it so difficult to buy. People are purchasing just because they see it available and is worried about price increase, there's no time to hesitate so many are purchasing even if they're not 100% sure if they like the bag/color etc. In turns it takes the bag away from someone who might actually be wanting such size/color or style. Why are they doing this, surely they'll still sell the items anyway so why make it so difficult. hmm

I'm a conflicting person. Part of me wants designer bags, part of me thinks these prices are way too high for bags. Out of curiosity, i went to find out how much a decent PU crossbody bag costs in my country/country tat i travel( abt 10usd) and try to figure out how many years should a designer bag be used such tat it worths every penny tat i have paid (calculated by if i m changing a PU bag in every one or 2 years. )... when i see the numbers, i m in horror. well, of course the digits don't take in considerations of the happiness/enjoyment/improvement in outfit when I m using designer bags etc..🤣

Plus you can always use the heck out of a Chanel bag and still resell it for thousands later on when you’re bored of it or need money. PU bag, on the other hand, what you may get $1 back from it if anyone even wants to buy a used PU bag? Chanel bag has value and will always be desirable, even used, you will always be able to find a buyer. And yes, it also adds emotional value too, happiness/improvement in outfit, you will get compliments and admiration from other girls and salespeople when you wear it out in public, boost your confidence, etc. People don’t realize or mention emotional value enough and they think of everything only in terms of financial value. 😪

Most of them have sentimental value to me or i still like them at the moment. Trying really hard to say goodbye to those only have sentimental value now before adding a new one to my collection. 😵‍💫

The last time I was in a Chanel store was April 2022 and the sales associate was super not helpful and I ended up buying something at Celine instead. Ever since then, I haven't even been interested in browsing for a vintage bag which I had always wanted. I just think their attitude, paired with the pricing strategy and the videos you see about quality, have completely turned me off the brand. Conversely, I was buying a scarf ring at Hermes and the sales associate spent a lot of time showing me scarves I just wanted look at and definitely not buy that day. I spent $240 with her, but she was as nice as if I had spent thousands of dollars.
