Your Greek is actually quite good! If u keep working on it, you'll become more fluent in no time. The thing about the Greek language, is that it's one of the oldest languages, and there's so much to learn. Even some Greek intellectuals like Μπαμπινιώτης, say that no one will ever fully know the Greek language, cause it's a living organism that keeps evolving. I don't remember who said this, but someone said that if you think you know a language 100% , that's when you lose the game. Your language's limits are also your world's limits, so keep learning and stay curious!

I speak Portuguese, French, Wolof, Japanese, Spanish and Guarani as native languages, and i also speak fluently Tagalog, Swahili, and English. My father is from Senegal, and my mother Japanese Brazilian, I grew up in Paraguay, speaking french, portuguese, japanese and wolof at home while in the school, spanish and guarani. I remember when i was a kid i used to hate that my parents would spoke to me each day in diffrent language, when i was at the age of seven i stoped replying my mommy in japanese, then my daddy punishied me, today i'm grateful that i was brought up in multicultural enviroment.

Ian Alfred Hi Ian! Well to be honest with you it depends on many things for instance if you have a talent at learning languages or the time you spend to study greek should be almost everyday and last but not least it depends on the course you would like to pursue for example if it is for medical school i think it will be difficult but nothing is unachievable!!!Good luck you can make your dreams come true😊

Aneesa Well Portuguese would be considered her “native language,” meaning she didn’t have to attempt to learn it, rather her mind just naturally picked it up. The problem is, is that why works for her might be different for you. I can speak German pretty well, and I pick up languages similarly to her. For me, it was always just a constant practice and immersion, even if it’s just music or reading basic sentences. Basically, whenever you can use the language, do it. For example, I put my phone in German, and it helps with the everyday use.

If you want to learn a new language I suggest that you try Duolingo and look for KZread videos on that specific language if you want to learn how to speak a language for free. That what I'm doing right now. I'm learning a third language (Italian). But it doesn't matter what you try, the most important thing is to repeat and practice it so that you can retain the words you're learning.

get a learning method and go practice and practice, and then practice again all the little things you learn on a daily basis, you have to use them and actually try to make sentences on your own, and repeat all the small things that you're learning and wanna remember. Then you should really listen to anything you can in French, as well as reading as most as you can in French. Hope that helps. I'm a French speaker who's learning English, by the way.

I even made it a point to learn proper English very well (grammar), because I was born in America, even if I didn’t necessarily speak properly at home. I was made fun of at school because my dad “spoke funny” (he’s from Vietnam). I learned early on that people will have their opinions, but we just gotta follow our passions. Language is all about effective communication anyways, so it’s amazing how learning just one more tongue opens thousands, or even millions, of people we wouldn’t have otherwise been able to meet before.

Humans are born with the capability of learning as many languages as we're exposed to! The common misconception that our brains will be "confused" if we learn more than one language is totally incorrect! Also, once you know two languages it is easier to learn a third, fourth, ...language! Glad you took advantage of that!!! And yes, you will be smarter if you know more than one language and that's been proven in tons of research 👍👍👍 So beautiful that you know so many languages!! Felicitaciones, eso te cambiará el resto de tu vida💛💚💛 And yes, thinking in a certain changes your perspective on life! I'm bilingual and I can tell you, I've had a similar experience to yours, just in less languages😂

Most of the time it was because they were exposed to more than one language at home and couldn't master one. The same thing happened to my husband when he was a child. And my little brother. So yeah when your a child (to my experience) you should master one first then learn the rest.

@@jl8805 Were your husband's parents mixing both of the languages he was trying to learn at the same time? For example, were they speaking Spanglish to him? I have noticed that when parents mix two or more languages it can confuse the children at first but they do usually end up mastering both (at least from what I have personally seen). Personally I didn't talk till I was three years old and then when I did I only spoke Spanish (which was the only language spoken at home) then when I was four I started learning English (at preschool), which I fluently spoke when I was five. For my siblings and cousins it was the same (we all learned English at school). My parents have never talked to me (or my siblings) in English although they know how to speak it. In elementary school there was a lot of bilingual/trilingual children and also some that spoke 6 languages (which was only like 5 kids). This one time in the third grade we discussed languages in class and we found that most of those children were able to speak all of those languages did so because they had one adult that solely spoke to them in that language. Sorry for the long post. And these have been my experiences with language obviously everyone is different.

Since she was 5 years old, her brain was more receptive to learning new languages and getting a hold of it easier because from birth to 5 are the most important years that affect a child’s personality and way of thinking. I’m not saying Jo didn’t work her ass off to learn these languages, but being bilingual at a young age definitely makes you more receptive to new languages because you have the mentality of knowing what it takes to learn something foreign. For anyone who is out of school and can’t take courses to learn a new language, the easiest way other than downloading apps and studying on your own everyday is to literally find someone who speaks that languages fluently who can train you or visit the country that most natives speak that language. It’s scary and you won’t know what people are saying, but that’s when you use your mind and read people’s body language to put the words and actions into one and then you’ll eventually start to catch on and be a master at the language without even needing to study from a textbook. This is solely my opinion, which I’m sure has flaws, but you catch my drift! 😁

DamonAndJo By any means I’m not trying to discredit you at all. I think it’s amazing that you’ve learned so many languages and I’m intrigued at the diversity you and Damon show by taking the time to learn these languages. My whole point was to try and say (not sure if I got the point across) that the easiest way to learn a new language is to just jump into an environment where most people speak the language you want and learn from actions. Some people have a hard time taking classes or reading from a textbook and like to learn languages in a more personal way. So you are right. Meeting people is the easiest way to learn new languages. I think it would be informative if you guys make a video on how you personally study a language to get better at it. That way people will know how to attack a language instead of fearing it. Love you guys! ♥️

I totally agree with you. My father mother tongue is criolo from Cap Verde, I'm used to hear it since I was young, but I don't know how to speak fluently, growing up learned Spanish listening to music, learned French at school with facility, learned English in the UK on my own without speaking regularly with natives, at work surrounded by people from eastern Europe started catching up a few words innocently, I just feel my brain observes very easy. Very accurate. But obviously we do have to make a huge effort to speak fluently.

I think Korean might be a good choice for you if you ever want to delve into Asian languages. It has a traditional alphabet like Greek and considering how easily you learned the Greek alphabet, Hangul should be a breeze. Also, Korea has a fascinating historical and modern culture and tons of media which can be utilized as a learning resource... Although I can honestly say Greece has the best music, you ought to hit up them Greek jams.

Well I’m Greek and all I want to say is that your accent is pretty good for a foreigner that just started to learn the language and you didn’t make any mistakes. Greek is one of the most difficult languages in the world and it’s hard to learn to speak it fluently if you’re not Greek. So yeah you did great just keep studying and I’m pretty sure you’ll do well💕💕
