So, during my stay at IIT Kharagpur, I developed this habit of sleeping very late due to various reasons. And in this video, I talk about a few of those reasons and also give my 2 cents on why waking up early is overrated AF!

Yeah just wait for few more years . Now you r youth with full of energy. Just wait for few more years untill your livers and kidneys to say good bye to you . Humans r not evolved to wake up at night . Night is for taking rest not waking up like owl . I don't know why illiteracy is spreading so much in youth now a days . Harming body taking drugs smoking cigarettes is now getting new normals and literally now they r defending them . National illiteracy council is spreading its legs in IITs also .

Waking up night don't make you IITian . Your day time is more than enough to crack iit if you want to . Yeah may be I am not sure if you r dasrath manjhi breaking hill whole day and reading in night . Or else for normal person 5-6 hours daily study after coaching is enough

It actually doesn't matter that in which time you're studying or sleeping, Totally depends on someone's body clock, But yes I think early mornings are better after a fresh sleep, now as always exceptions are there too, But, don't try to follow anyone's routine, Try to find your own, which u feel comfortable, I'm a medical student and I found my early mornings more productive than nights

Dude, you are 200% right, my mom always told me to get up at 4am, but every night I slept early and found myself waking up late...I lost both the nighttime and the morning. This continued for a year... whilst my friend followed his body cycle, studied efficiently, and cracked state PCS which I was also aiming for. He was an average student yet he managed to crack the govt. exam and I didn't. He got a govt. job. What am I doing you ask? I am a Technology Manager in IIT KGP rn. Your videos have helped me a lot to know more abt the campus in this lockdown. Thanks!

I used to wake up at 5 am and get 8 hours of sleep because scientists and internet articles told me. The truth is the routine never worked for me. I woke up at 5am tired and lazy; and at night I force myself to sleep, even when I'm not getting sleepy just to get 8 hours. Everybody is built different. For me, I am more productive at night. Thank you for this video. 👍

That is very true… finding long hours of distraction free deep work in the day time is difficult. But what about sleeping early and waking up at 3 - 4 AM? My grandparents daily routine is such and although I try to follow it until I fail. Sleeping late is an easier task but you have to agree that in the morning our Focus is laser sharp. There will always be this debate about Early risers and Night owls though. 😅
