Great video. Farming in Orlando, nice. Your enthusiasm to jump into new things and share the experience is inspiring. Just getting into overlanding with a four runner and have hit replay a few times.

I’ve been here since the first “Hi my name is Jason” 4runner in the woods video. To be honest I’m a fan of you as a human, almost like a role model I’ve never met. Glad you and your family are well, can’t wait to see more on your farm build.

Gotta admit, I’ve missed your videos. They got me thru some long ass shifts at work while I was in school. We are closing on a house next week and I can’t wait to start building our 4Runner and getting another overland rig to build as well. There’s a ton of stuff you did to the Swell Runner I wanna do to ours.

I like many others have been here since the beginning when you were modding your T4R in your driveway. It inspired me to get one and now that I have I’m going back and rewatching all of your installs. I am looking forward to watching the Homestead build as that is also something I’ve been looking into, trying to become self sufficient.

This sounds like a lot of fun Jason. Can't wait. I said hi to you at the Overland Expo but you waived me off and split. When we lived in Utah. We had 13 chickens and 2 cows. Two of thr dumbest animals on a farm. My cows ate my irrigation pipe. You have to make their area huge. They will escape most pens so be prepared. Looking forward to your experiences. Aquaponics have always fascinated me. Disney’s “Living With the Land” started my fascination 30 years ago. I haven’t done it yet so it’s exciting To watch you jump into that world, and “figure it all out for me”

If you do get bee's make sure you some that have been in your area for awhile. Sometimes buying bee's online don't work out as plane. If they aren't use to the heat then they can die out. The best way to start up with bee's is to find a swarm of bee's in a tree or building somewhere and move them to your place. I can't think of the name rite now but there's a good book out that's all about bee's and how to raise them. Chickens are probably the easiest animals to have.

Cool man. My mom and stepdad have a homestead in Bandera, Texas. His family was one of the original 13 families from Poland that settled Bandera in the early 1800s so they have land all over that area. They grow all their vegetables and have cattle ranches, fish in the river and more deer than you can count. The homesteading lifestyle is awesome and rewarding in my opinion.

As a born and raised Central Florida follower: welcome to the playground! 11 Acres in Orlando? WOW. That's amazing! I was looking myself at the Lakeland area. Anyways, this is all very exciting. Happy to see your continued growth and looking forward to more adventures with you.

Jason- Glad you're back (ish.) I truly believe you could run a channel on just sitting on a stool and 'speaking southern' and we'd all watch and enjoy! Wife and I saw you at Overland Ex East while we were at Kevin + Sarah's booth, but didn't want to bother- you looked so deep in thought! I can't imaging the pressure it is to feel like you need to constantly produce content for viewers- and also make it fresh. Anyway- I LOVE the idea of you showing us how you plan to develop the property into a homestead! We could ALL learn a thing or two about being more prepared and less dependent on others! Agreed! As a lifelong 801er it took some effort to not bristle hearing someone pick Florida over Utah! Jason, love your videos man and I’ve many of them as a template for my own 4Runner build that I’m just starting! Definitely something to be said for owning land my friend! Good luck and I’ll be happy to ride along!

Congrats man! Might want the chickens closer to you, so you can shoot the critters that come for them. Things just absolutely love to eat them, and it is amazing how crafty those animals are.

Wow I lived in Franklin Jefferson and Santa Rosa counties then Desoto Highlands Hardee and Polk and I found NW Florida much more rural and lower cost of living than central Florida but good for you and I enjoyed your past videos and look forward to the new ones Many blessings to you and your family

I’m actually in central Florida! Currently under contract to sell my home.. the money is gonna be used to get a new 4runner and trailer to go in live on the road around Utah and neighboring states lol! Good luck with your future n may you enjoy your new adventures

Good luck with the harbor freight greenhouse. I built mine. It was flimsy so I went and bought lumber and framed it out then transferred the walls.

I've had surgery on both of my wrists, so doing fist push ups is my reality now. Being in the military, you have to be able to not only adapt, but get used to the reality that you're not getting any younger as well. That was my big revelation during the pandemic after I got injured.

Build your own green house. I had one and the wind blew it down. Ended up building our own and use the polycarbonate from the HF green house on the new one.

I’ve read about them not being very strong and have some ideas on reinforcing it. If nothing else it’ll be a learning experience. I believe I’d rather a much larger hoop greenhouse structure. Looking into it.

We just bought 8 acres of wooded land in central Ohio, that includes a pole barn we are converting to a house/workshop. Small world.

Thanks for sharing your path. have fun with that tractor. Maybe some lightbars on that.
