Very entertaining. We have been running an M2 DTG for 2 years. We love it. Great quality and we are not having to charge our customers a setup fee per color. $15 is way too low. We dont charge below $20. We have mastered the no cracking and with some trial and error we have our pretreat measurements down. There is a learning curve, as with anything.

Most honest review on dtg I’ve seen ! Still will do it as I’m the creative and marketer cutting out the production middle man and print my own. So profits will be 15-20 after all cogs

The printer was a bit complicated to hook up kzread.infoUgkxciSwynMJ7PnUvvx11rewiu-yFBkZTl53 but it does the job very efficiently. I like the ink wells versus the ink cartages that cost an arm and a leg. It prints quickly and the quality is excellent. It shuts off when not in use, so you have to remember to turn it on. Overall, it exceeds my expectations. I'll update my review in a couple of months.

I'm glad I held off on DTG and got our wide format print/cut instead. Those white toner laser printers are looking real good right now, especially for the low maintenance.

I respect everything you said bro I was thinking about getting a DTG printer but I'm not doing things as big as you it's just to start a business with my own ideas and my own images and things for myself and my car clubs and things like that and if other people would like their logos I was going to do that but I love how you put everything great content bro and I hope you like being out here in LA.

That's so true about constent hours of dealing with customers designs going back N forth making sure the design is perfect... sometimes took hours to wait for response due to work reason, life ect. . That's why you need to make sure the customer has everything ready for you.

My man, I make about 40 shirts per day on an Epson f2160 and it takes me 2 - 2.5 hours. I have worked hard to refine the process and I don't pretreat shirts the day before because I feel like the ink fades on the shirt quicker if you do. There is definitely space to make a small to medium sized business work in the day and this climate. I was thinking about making some content about it myself, just not sure if people are interested in that kinda thing.

@@JV-fj7nv THIS sounds like realistic figures with this machine. a single operator 20/25 an hour easily. while something is being pretreating, something is being cured in the heat press, something is being printed in the Epson. be like chef in the kitchen :)

I sold mine too! Too many steps. Expensive. The fear of the breakdowns and the cost of repairs scared me. I’d rather do screen transfers. Worst business mistake I’ve made to date. Live and learn!

Sounds like you just may not have been equipped for the machine. My old company I worked for did 600k/year with a 4 man team running one Brother GTX. Just depends on who you are and what you’re working style is.

Great video, there's something about you when you talk about t-shirt printing there's definitely a passion there, don't know whether it's because your doing more speaking jobs or because you've been doing it for years but you seem more passionate about that venture. You should definitally look at the opendtg or katana. There is another one but I forgot. OpenDTG uses kothari which is a great rip and printing software, affordable units and ink(you can use other brand inks with this also!) It is super affordable way of getting professional looking dtg prints still 1/3 the cost of the epson! They have great customer service and a forum which you can get SOO much help from!

I just got done watching the video you made two years ago. Now I seen this. Had to watch "Bill Gates Third Cousin." I loved that line. Thank for doing this video. Here's a silly idea. Did you try putting the tee shirt that you wore week after week after week on to the heat set machine? I know one time I had a tee back in the 80's that was doing that. So I heat set it with my household iron from inside of the shirt. It helped it to last longer.

Because of you bough a the same DTG from the same people. What your saying is so true. But so far it works great for me I’m charging 35 to 40 per shirt. And sell all online I’m thinking of buying another one. Love the video and the honesty.

Great stuff! I used to use the big POD vendors--Printful and CustomCat. However, I just got tired of a combination of bad quality due to low or no QC, excessive delays due to Covid-19 (understandable to a degree) and lack of customization options. I got tired of hearing, but, they print thousands of orders a day so there are bound to be some bad one that slip through. My reply, well my customer don't know that and don't care to know that. I only order a few and the failure rate seems to be much higher. I'm small, so I just can't justify buying large equipment and doing it myself. What I ended up doing is researching and partnering with a couple of local vendors to do my DTG and my embroidery. They physically look at every output, so, there's a great chance that errors are found before they are shipped. I order my blank from wholesale vendors. That's working out great for me so far. Add to that, I have a lot more flexibility as well as being able to talk with them in person/over the phone to brainstorm ideas and address any potential issues. I suspect that it will get crazy around the holidays as it usually do. That means that a lot of the big boys will have issues, delays, etc. At the end of the day, you have to be flexible and keep moving forward, making whatever changes you need to make to be successful! I wish everyone much continued success!

@@davidferrer678A main reason why people struggle getting customers is because there is no solid marketing strategy in place. Thats the where focus needs to be. If you don't have a dialed in market plan and lack consistency and quality in your effort you will more than likely not succeed.
