And now Simply is out here advertising that collection as “chrome” when it’s more just a metallic collection with no real chrome-like reflectiveness. At least Holo Taco didn’t ever advertise them as or imply that they’d be mirror coat, but it does remind me of the brands in her video that were advertising the world’s first mirror finish but didn’t deliver a mirror finish at all.

I actually started watching when Polish Mountain was big. (pun intended) I was on vacation and got really bad sun poisoning on my back so the last 4 days of the vacation I spent laying on my stomach with a wet towel on my back. watching Cris' videos

I actually remember Avon having a "mirror/chrome" nail polish when I was a teenager. It was called Mirror Shine and they had three colors I believe. It was my favorite because I had never seen anything like it before. I'm sure it's discontinued now but I'll always remember it as the "first" mirror/chrome polish I've ever seen.

Omg are you guys talking about the mirror shine polish? We had a pink and lavender color. They had gray bottles with chrome stickers matching the polish on them. I used to use them all the time as a preteen/teen.
