Why I'm using a $200 recycled phone

I bought 3 second-hand phones from Amazon Renewed for less than $250 each - that's about £200 in real money ;) - to see if buying budget can still get you a good phone at a fraction of the cost of a recent flagship. In this video, I test out the iPhone X, the Google Pixel 5a, and the Samsung Galaxy A52.
I was inspired to make this because, as we've all experienced, the prices of iPhones and Android flagships have got a bit silly! Do we really NEED a $2,000 phone? Are cheap, refurbished phones any good in 2023? And if you’re asking yourself, do I need to upgrade to the latest iPhone 15 or the Google Pixel 8, then, hopefully, you’ll find your answer by the end of this video!

Appreciated! Yeah it’s easy to get swept up in the whole buying the latest. But these are all quite solid options to be fair!

Ooh. I think it’s between the iPhone and Pixel for me. iPhone sounded a bit more rounded where the pixel has more top end?

Older smartphones are OK, but they are supported for a shorter period of time. I'm mad that my perfectly working Galaxy S20 FE will not get One Ui 6, but cheap and laggy Galaxy A52 featured in the video will, it's unfair.

I think that new Samsung flagship smartphones should get 5-6y (full android + security) of updates and budget only 3-4 y of android (+1y for security)
This makes me want to buy all the old pixels to go with my 7 pro and have a time line display

That’s funny. I had the iPhone X up until 1 month ago and got the iPhone 15 Pro Max. I love the X. Especially 3D touch over haptic
iPhones hold more value over time than Android phones... Am I right?

iPhones most definitely hold their value better try and buy a z fold 3 the price has been cut in like a quarter also in terms of the iPhone x from this video as someone who has ordered from Amazon many times that is not excellent condition in you should return it and get your money back as I send this from an Amazon renewed phone

I feel like we can never be too sure with refurbished phones of any kind so I’d keep them out of the water
You should have only purchased flagships across the board. Not a fair fight...you can't purchase 2021 google and samsung flagships for $200
The A52 5G has a really not stock looking garbage 3rd party screen.... The real screen is much better than that....

You’re embarrassing yourself with your ignorance. Google WAS making flagship phones when the 5A came out. The Pixel 5 (flagship) was released a year before the budget 5A. A similar thing happened with the Pixel 4/4A and 3/3A.
