@@Twahboxx808 having had it a year now, I think the Mockingbird is by far the best value full-size stroller… I don’t see anything on a different full-sized stroller I would rather have. My favorite parts are the east fold, big mesh zipper area to see them while front-facing, and east recline adjustment. My only thing is this is HEAVY and big (like all full sized strollers), so it’s a bit of a pain to get down our porch steps and into the car… and it takes up a lot of trunk space. Personally, I think the Minu or new Nuna TRVL are probably the best one-and-done strollers, but you will miss some of the full-size comforts like easy reclining.

Thank you!! My husband is 6'3" so you just saved me from having to buy and inevitably return it. The limitation with the handlebar height was my biggest reservation about the stroller and I've read many reviews online which were inconsistent about this issue, but I felt like a lot of them were sponsored and couldn't be taken honestly. So thank you!!

Before I bought it, I made sure it had an adjustable handlebar. And I thought oh it does, great! And a lot of strollers have the same type of swivel handlebar which is FINE if that dang brake bar wasn't there. I think extendable handlebars are always the safest bet for us tall people because they allow you more stride room. Good luck on your search!

This was very helpful. I am taller than average at 5 foot 9 inches and my husband is right at 6 foot. It would have been a big issue and I'm glad for these details on this stroller so I can apply them to strollers with similar features. The canapy problem is something I notice in many other strollers and is a very important feature to me.

It gets such hate from people because it looks like a Vista but there are other strollers that look like the Vista and I think it’s smart marketing to use a popular style. I bought the mockingbird in October 2020 and returned it a few weeks later. I am 5’ 10 and had the same issue with the handle bar and my feet hitting! My back would be sore from bending over. I also has the exact same issue with the sun canopy I was constantly adjusting it because it fell down. I wish this video was made before I went through the trouble of figuring it out myself but glad it will help others in the future. I settled with the City Select Lux baby jogger and it’s much better for tall people and has a great sun canopy! You can also see it in store before buying!!!

I’ve been using the mockingbird stroller for eight months now and overall I’m very happy with it. I understand her biggest issue is that it’s not best for her height. With that being the case I would probably sell it too but as far as the shade, the canopy does have a zipper that goes all across where you can have a bigger opening other than the peek window. Also the basket has a side pocket where you can put the magnetic shade so it doesn’t feel like you have to carry it around all the time and it doesn’t take up any space from the basket. I agree the the canopy is a bit short but in my experience it hasn’t really been an issue. Loved the video, very honest. Just thought I could tell my experience in case anyone it helps anyone decide on their future stroller. 😊

Hey everyone! A few updates from 2022: When watching this video, please keep in mind this review was made in 2020, and Mockingbird has made some adjustments to their strollers since then. I've heard they now offer an extended canopy. (Mine did unzip into a peekaboo window, but it did not extend the canopy). Also, they are now apparently sold in some Targets. I haven't seen any on display in my local store, but you could probably find one if you wanted to try in store. For me, the bar between the back wheels was a non-negotiable issue, but a couple of tall people have commented on this video and said they didn't have the same issue, so perhaps the problem with the bar comes down to a variety of factors i.e. height, stride, activity.

I’m so sad that this stroller didn’t work for you. I love it not only the price, but also the features. My canopy has never collapsed like yours shown in the vid, that’s so weird and I can understand why that would be frustrating, heck irritating. I just went to the Omaha Zoo over the weekend and was able to finally try out the sun shade and loved it for what it does, but was annoyed that I had to loop the little elastics on the sides. But loved that it kept my son shaded and when he was napping gave him privacy. I’m only 5’7” so I can’t say anything about the brake bar but that it can get stuck trying to turn the brake off some times but not enough to make me get rid of it. I ended up getting a used uppababy cruz. I really love it as a tall person because of how high the handlebar extends, and it also doesn't have that annoying bar between the back wheels. If you have two little ones, you would need the Vista because it can be extended to a double. I know anything uppababy is super pricey though, which is why I found mine used on Facebook.

I do have a question about trails... what kind of trails are you going on? I always wonder that when people talk about strollers on trails. The hiking we've been doing, I literally cannot imagine any stroller to work on so we always assumed we would have to carry our baby (front or back) so I'm just wondering what awesome trails everyone else is finding so I can look out for that kind of thing around here too. haha

I agree that the canopy could be a little longer, but I have not had any issues with it folding. Also, I'm from Europe and Americans strollers are trush comparing to European strollers (which makes sense because of the style of life) so I cried and looked for months to find something I liked. Now I live in American and Mockingbird is the sturdiest I have seen except UppaBaby. It also has great wheels and a bassinet which a lot of american strollers don't, so I love my stroller for American standards.

Thank you for the honest review! I too am skeptical about the lack of negative reviews. I see negative reviews for the vista or bugaboo strollers, and those are top end brands. Anyways, I agree its a beautiful stroller very sleek, but it does have operational problems that are hard to ignore. The handle bar just seems so flimsy when its set in its tallest position, and its hard to tilt back. Also, there is a lot of plastic at major connections, which to me is a big quality concern. I ultimately decided to go with the uppababy vista because the quality is unmatched. Plus the resale value is high because it's a stiller that truly lasts for years. This mockingbird shure is $350 but it probably can get maybe 2-3 kids from 6 months to non stroller age. The Vista can work for 2-3 different families and still funtion well.

When I actually did some digging, I found negative reviews on Google specifically that mention the same faults I pointed out. Mockingbird can be good for a certain kind of family, but I'm more like you. I want longevity. Buying a stroller was stressful for me because I knew I would use it a lot, so I don't want to go through the process again for the next kid. This thing needs to last. I'm not sure if you saw my other video but I did end up buying a used uppababy cruz. I kind of wish I got the Vista, but the cruz has been so nice as well. And I am the second family! I noticed that too! When I actually dug into the Google reviews, I saw more people criticizing the same issues that I did. But then I have people coming on here saying I am the only bad review on the internet for a reason, and the stroller is perfect....like, do the most basic research and you'll find other people who didn't like it. sigh...anyway I ended up buying a used uppababy cruz and I really like it! I wish I could afford a brand new Vista.

@@Eddie510s it's really good in that aspect. It has an extendable handle that goes up really high. I don't necessarily recommend the uppababy line just because they're so expensive but any stroller with an extendable handle is a must as a tall person

I bought a used uppababy and am trying it out right now. It solves the handlebar problem because it has an extendable handle bar that goes up very tall. But im still not 100% sold on it. There are so many good strollers to choose from

I have a Britax B-Ready G3 and I love it! It has a big canopy and it’s very sturdy and smooth-riding. It’s a great, sturdy stroller. It’s heavy and big though.

You might be fine at 5'4". Like I said, it is tough for me to know the height at which the bar becomes an issue but if you were to use the handlebar in its medium settings, you would be back far enough from the stroller

Vista or Bugaboo would be better for tall people but if you want off road look into the Bumbleride Era. If you don’t need parent facing anymore it might make more sense for a 1 year old to buy a BOB
