Why I'm Not Keeping My BMW i8!

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

I love my BMW i8, BUT I do not plan on buying it at the end of my lease. There are a couple of specific reasons why I don't want to keep this specific car forever. If are curious about this car, thinking of getting one or just want to hear what I have to say about it, check out the video!

He also talked about reliability. He's had a couple of expensive repair items that would be a nightmare out of warranty. Also, the depreciation sucks.

Just a heads up with anyone who currently has a BMW or is looking to get a BMW. Whenever we'd take our car to get repaired from the dealer, something completely random would end up malfunctioning the very next month. This continued all throughout the warrantee period and after the warrantee ended and we got our car repaired from a private mechanic, ALL PROBLEMS DISAPPEARED! This was until we took the car back to the dealer a VERY long time later and sure enough, something broke the next month. I've been the multiple dealers and the evidence I have is too much to call a coincidence. Overall: If you have a BMW outside warrantee, avoid taking it to the dealer! My friends have had identical experiences with Land Rover, and Jaguar. As soon as they stop getting the car serviced from the dealer, all problems disappear.

Like how much work can i do on this car and with all the new technology it would be hard to find many videos on how to fix this car. They do look great but I guess I will stay in the Corvette. I love my vette but I am like you I just want the next new thing out there. Thanks for the video, it stopped me from a $62000 mistake and thats on a 2016. So like you said they do drop fast.

I'm keeping mine but bought it for different reasons. I bought it instead of getting a billboard to promote my business. Best business decision ever. With 65,000 miles,I've only had to replace tires and oil. Freaked when oil light came on up in mountains of Oregon. But,quick KZread search showed access to crankcase was so easy,I did it between commercials. Other thing is 40 mpg with 4.2 zero to sixty. Fantastic car!

My 16 MKZ Hybrid isn't as complex a hybrid setup but it's had a couple issues as well. Check engine light and service light came on 6 months in which turned out to be a bad battery terminal and just a couple weeks ago the same thing happened and it was a bad throttle body. Each of those things didn't affect the operation of the vehicle at all other than throwing codes but I guess when you have a hybrid setup the most insignificant thing can throw it out of whack.

Doing things like that fucks ur channel. If he were to buy a ls1 corvette as a project car like Cleetus's, he'd get way more subs.

Dinesh Sahu: I'm also interested in knowing what the monthly payment is. Always wondered how people justify the cost of these expensive cars so maybe the way to do it is on a short lease? You can run it as a business expense and offset a lot of the cost against tax. Of course you need to be running a successful business to make it work.
