COSMETOPIA DIGEST is your next-door makeup junkie's beauty channel. I believe in keeping it real. You won’t find the flawless looks or paid reviews from glossy magazines; you’ll find what is wearable, doable, and believable. I ALWAYS disclose if something is a PR Sample/sponsored/collab.
Affiliate links make me a (very) small commission, at no extra cost to you. Any money thus made (some £12-ish in 2019) is put back into the running of this channel.

I find the idea of beauty boxes much more exciting than the actual boxes. I love the idea of them but once I see the actual contents I'm pretty meh on them.
I totally agree with everything you have said. Another reason some subscription boxes you can buy as one offs as well so can choose more appropriately
Last year you were my favorite person talking about Advent calendars , almost everyone else is just faking excitement for every little sample in those calendars, you opened my eyes how little value is there ❤
Total agreed. I stoped like 2 years ago as it was pilling up anyway.
Agree with you re Avant - as soon as I see that brand I do a swerve.
An American youtuber I watch, got a Fenty beauty blush/highlighter in a chic beauty box. It was Geisha Chic, that had been pulled out of stores/sales in 2019... that was interesting. She posted the video last month, but since she has a pile of boxes waiting to be open, it could be a box from last year, but still...
I will stick with Glossybox as with Blue Light discount it’s only £8.33 a month 😂 and the contents are usually decent. I also subscribed to Jarma Box but cancelled the last one as the value was bumped up by a Kate Somerville moisturiser which I would never repurchase. So that one might be biting the dust. I’ve not seen anything in the others that’s really tempted me to
Totally agree with you, I have bought few beauty boxes every year but this is first time I'm thinking to skip and just buy 3-4 full size favourite products I know for sure I will use and love. Thanks for the video :)
Having subscribed to a number of beauty boxes and advent calendars I just got really fed up with having such a lot of sample sizes cluttering up drawers, storage canisters and makeup bags. It became really difficult to sort and find anything. You talked about 'use by' dates - impossible to determine with samples. Then there was the whole issue of waste around packaging. Much as I like a 'mini' the glass, plastic and metal used to produce such cute things is pretty shameful. They are seldom re-usable.
I agree, you are spot on!
You are Correct in your comments as usual. You are spot on
I find the repeats the most frustrating. Please no more philip kingsley, bum bum cream, this works or rituals!
I stoped two years ago. The content only got worse and worse
