After using the 11” M4, I think I’ve made the choice to stick with the 13” M4. The difference in weight is not all that noticeable, and the extra screen size is awesome to have! Adding a skin to the iPad makes gripping it a lot easier as well, I felt it was slippery before.

I have had the iPad Pro 13 with the new Magic Keyboard since it became available in Mid May. I truly truly truly truly love this device. It has replaced my laptop completely. The improvements to the Magic Keyboard alone is worth the switch. And the beautiful OLED display of the iPad Pro is a game changer.

Just got a 13 inch M4 iPad Pro myself, with Magic Keyboard and Apple Pencil Pro - looking forward to unbox it. Had an 11 inch iPad Pro from 2020 before but with my usage and experience, I felt a 13 inch would be better by size, and now with the new display, I’m glad I waited till now to upgrade. In the next model of iPad Pro, i hope that they will change round click with an arrow click and i hope that they will add an option of something like Samsung. With the keyboard, iPad should be able to change from iPadOS to MacOS, they already using m line chips so power should not be the problem.

I agree whole heartedly with your assessment. When I went to the Apple Store, I could immediately see the difference between my 2021 mini LED display and the tandem OLED. Additionally the normal 600 nit brightness of the mini LED made it very difficult to use in bright daylight. This is no longer an issue for me with the thousand nit normal display. I also agree with your assessment of the difference between the 11 inch and the 13 inch model. I have owned the 11 inch and find the 2 inch difference a vast improvement. I decided to get the 13 inch right away to avoid any loss of trade-in value for my 2021 iPad Pro. I was able to get $510 trade-in. This reduced the cost significantly. Almost no one has mentioned the 13 inch iPad Pro has an E Sim if you choose the cellular option. I find that advantageous as well.

100% even from the 2018 is not worth the expense! For an Oled screen, function row, and find my on Apple Pencil. The entry is $1,427 (11”) to $1,777 (13”) USD + Tax. It would make more Finacial sense to just buy a MacBook if you NEED the M4 performance later this year. The OS on iPad doesn’t make it worth the high entry barrier.

@@MarcusWarcus40 You make a solid point. It's definitely easier to justify the cost if you're a new iPad Pro buyer. However, for those who already invested in the Magic Keyboard and Apple Pencil between 2018-2023, it might be worth reconsidering. They could potentially get more value by opting for a new MacBook for the M4 performance and using their existing iPad as a second display or combo device with Sidecar. Additionally, the limitations of iPadOS, which offer a similar experience across older iPads, make the high entry cost harder to justify. It’s all about evaluating personal needs and how each device fits into your daily workflow.

@@T10107 nah. I respect people choosing for themselves and maybe I’m just a whore for new gadgets, but my iPad trajectory went like this. 2018 pro. 2020 pro. 2022 pro. 2024 pro lol I upgrade. I like new features and appreciate the work Apple puts into these things. So for someone to have one from all the way in 2018 and STILL say they can’t see a reason to upgrade blows my mind. I’ve tried switching to a MacBook. Was bored out of my mind. It felt old and antiquated I wanted to touch the screen. I wanted to take it with me without the keyboard. I missed iPad os and the apps that go with it. Netflix? Sure on MacBook. Unless you wanna download some episodes and go to work then you’re fucked. Apps? After using iPad for so many years, there’s just so many apps that don’t work on MacBook. And I miss basic features like slide over stacks for my quick actions. The “but it’s so much” I get, but if it was “so much” in 2018, you still don’t see a reason to upgrade in 2024? Better screen, better battery, faster, more features, better accessories. You think you won’t notice the difference but you do. I use mine every night at work not just for Netflix and KZread but doing inventory and it’s amazing. Easily one of my favorite devices
