I am looking at the Kings Grand Tourer Mk3 for my MR Triton - with the Kings Tub rack on the back (no canopy). I was thinking that I'd mount it to the tub rack and let it overhang the car roof as much as it needed. I know that you shouldn't bolt it down to the racks on the car and the tub at the same time due to that movement you spoke about in the video. But, and this is my question for everyone - is it safe to let the RTT REST on the racks on the car while being bolted to the ones on the tub? Would that give it the strength/support and prevent some of the damage you were talking about in the tub without damaging the roof of the car?

It’s safe but it will make a hell of a racket when your driving mate trust me I have done it before I had my old RTT sitting on a roof rack with a rubber insert and it would just tap and bang it was horrible.
